Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 176: The snooty princess.
Chapter 176: The snooty princess.
The arrival of the empress to the tea party with her daughters was a shock of great magnitudes. She arrived with two dozen royal agents flanking her and her daughters on every side. They were dressed extravagantly, dripping of jewels and authority. Where others had come dressed simply and the children had donned costumes for fun, they had dressed as if they were there to attend a royal gala.
Princess Long Wen was eight years old, she always carried herself with the seriousness of a thirty year old seeking to climb up the office hierarchy. She was very minimal with her words and she didn’t smile at strangers. Some people whispered about her, calling her the mute imperial princess. She had a close relationship with her father, Emperor Long Junjie.
Judging from the lack of interest in her eyes, she was obviously unhappy to be at the tea party. Long Wen was not a fan of crowds, noise or other kids.
Princess Long Shuang on the other hand, had her nose up in the air like her mother. She was looking at the guests at the tea party with eyes filled with contempt. She was such a diva that she needed two maids to hold both of her hands as she walked.
Many members of Mei Mei’s family had a feeling that something bad was bound to happen at the party with the presence of the empress and the snooty princess. So, they urged their children to keep a distance from Long Shuang.
The adults kept a distance from Empress Hui that was struggling to hide the anger and agony on her face as she watched her husband play the role of a DJ at a kids party. How was he the dignified emperor? She did not care that he was burning off steam or that it made him happy. She was just worried about how his actions would reflect on her.
So, she started making apologies him and when the emperor heard about what she was doing, the smile on his face died. His wife seemed to think that she was more royal than he was.
He called the original party DJ to take over and walked to his wife and whispered in her ears, "It will do you good to remember that your name is Hui not Long. I have not asked you to apologize for my behavior and I am not ashamed to be putting a smile on the faces of these children."
Given the fact that sixty percent of the people on the grounds were recipients of gene altering serums, his whisper reached the ears of every nosy person at the party.
"Damn!!" Princess Rize ooohed as she leaned into the arms of her husband. "Why doesn’t this Hui girl stop antagonizing Junjie? She is always trying to control him, pointing out what is royal and what is not royal. Indeed, she forgets that Junjie was born into royalty and she was not. Commoners don’t tell royals what they should and should not do with their personal time."
Chi Rui shook his head as he glanced at the Empress. Even he was the royal son-in-law, he had never dared to tell his wife how she should behave just because she was a princess. He supported her being a talk show host and a celebrity. When she danced he clapped. The empress seemed to have no clue on how to grasp the heart and affections of her husband. "Who invited her?"
"No one." Rize whispered back.
She knew that the empress did not like the Jun’s that much. Why she was at Jun Mingzhu’s tea party was as questionable as her taste in earrings. They were always larger than necessary.
The whispers were already traveling through the party. Junjie decided that it was best for him to leave with the empress and their daughters so he went to find Mei Mei in the house and bid her farewell.
While he was gone, Long Shuang decided to go and take a walk by the pool. She was unhappy because the other kids were not fawning over her and she needed to remind them that she was the most important princess of the empire.
First, she whispered an order to her maids that they turn over the chocolate fountain. One of them pretended to stumble and she pushed it over. It knocked over a glass cart with some of grandma Jun’s finest tea sets.
As the adults gasped and servants rushed over to clean up while grandma Jun was consoled by her husband, Long Shuang continued with her mission of ruining the tea party. She stopped by two little boys that were giving General Big Yellow belly rubs.
"Move peasants," She ordered them in a snooty voice and shoved them out of the way. She stepped on General Big Yellow’s wagging tail and the dog yowled in pain and shock.
He was a clever dog, so he didn’t attack her. Humans made mistakes, and the children especially looked like puppies to him so he just run away to find Noodles in the bouncing castle.
Long Shuang in the meantime continued on her walk of terror. She kicked Luo Chuchu who was holding spider shaped strawberry cheesecake into the swimming pool.
This time round, her actions were seen by many adults and Luo Chuchu’s mother let out a scream that overpowered the tunes the DJ was spinning. When the adults looked at the empress, she looked away quickly, pretending that she was on the phone.
Long Wen stood up, planning to stop the madness of her younger sister but at the empress’s signal, she was grabbed by royal agents and firmly forced to sit.
Madam Feng was itching to take a palm to Long Shuang’s buttocks but she could not beat a royal princess. She would be arrested and accused of child abuse and assault on a royal.
Rose was experiencing the same problem as madam Feng. She had already taken a slipper out of her bag. Jun Lei and Jun Jie were holding her back.
Su Manchu and Princess Rize stood up to go and stop Long Shuang stood up to deal with the matter. Others could not touch Long Shuang, but they could.
Meanwhile, Long Shuang kicked Go Go Squid into the pool and picked up the rose wood sword, maliciously eyeing Tea and Noodles that were sleeping on a pool side chair.
"Stop her." Great grandma Jun yelled.
Tao Xiaotong opened her mouth and screamed, "Hey, general Mingzhu, this crazy princess has your sword and she wants to kill your cats."
