Last Ruler Of The Empty Throne-Chapter 118: Shamans
Also unknown to Jon, his leaking bloodlust picked up the process the shamans weren’t able to continue, and his bloodlust sped up the process so much that visible changes started taking place.
The black lightning that only flickering once in a while was now flashing around like Laura’s lightning. And the worse part was that Jon couldn’t control his bloodlust to say he should stop or anything like that, and the Jon himself wasn’t even trying to stop it.
He knew the person or people responsible would come with this, and he wasn’t going to just let them live or die peacefully.
As for Amelia, she couldn’t do anything.
First, this was going against the rule she was to follow, if she influenced Jon’s decision in anyway, she would be punished. The second was, Jon himself wanted this, she was looking at his face and he still looked sane enough.
It was a really strange situation. He was angry enough to lose himself, but he was still himself. Or rather, it would be really strange if he wasn’t himself. How many skills did he already have that fortified his mind in any situation, and those situations included anger.
CRACKLE...CRACKLE...
Now the lightning took a different direction. The lightning all gathered towards Jon’s direction and started swirling around each other.
WHOOOOOMP
It made a swirling and sharp sound as it began spinning faster and getting larger.
At this point, the evolvers in the camp knew something was wrong. A division had already been placed around this area in case anything happened and should report.
"L-Leader!" One of the evolvers called out to their division leader.
"I know." The division leader had already picked up the walkie-talkie he had assigned with and speaking through it.
And it wasn’t only them.
In the camp, everyone could see the swirling lightning and hear the loud sounds coming from it. Immediately, the evolvers took action and began giving out orders.
The legion leaders were nowhere to be found; so, it was Nancy giving out orders and they moved according to her words.
"Policemen, make sure the survivors stay in their homes, two legions watch the perimeter, Victor go and call the legion leaders, they should be outside north, the rest let’s move."
Like that, she dispatched them all and went to their various tasks.
Using the various vehicles and transport measures, Nancy and the two legions were able reach there on time.
"Spread out, prepare to attack as soon as whatever approaches." Nancy shouted using mana even before they got out of their vehicles. And the moment they got down, the orders began taking place.
Then they saw it.
The huge black lightning that swirled around to form a sort of portal. The situation as so tense and the portal was so shocking, they didn’t focus on the person before the portal. However, Nancy wasn’t everyone.
’Is that...’ With her brilliant mind, it was almost impossible for her not to recognize Jon. ’Why is he...what it that is the case.’ She then raised her voice again and shouted,
"Don’t attack, hold."
Now, the evolvers were confused. At first, she had been giving out the orders well, now what was she saying now.
However, she didn’t give them a reason and repeated her words and told them not to attack. So reluctantly, they still prepared their attacks but waited.
...
After about fifteen minutes of swirling, the portal finally settled.
It was no longer raging about like before. It was like a stable current now, however not everyone was stable.
The wrath of Jon had been building up ever since he knew it was caused by someone. Now he could barely wait to see the person’s face.
And unluckily, the first person stepped out.
"Hmm, ahhh...yes, this it." A male grey in color and black like tattoo spoke as he spread his arms wide to accept the air.
"Now who-" before he could even look around, Jon’s fist was through his face.
BANG
[YOU HAVE RECEIVED LEVEL 26 ’SHAI’ REMAINS]
[YOU HAVEN’T...]
His bare fist was now filled with blood. His gaze was till fixed on the portal.
’This can’t be all, this can’t be all.’ He really didn’t want to believe all of this was caused by a first realm alone, so there had to be more.
And there were more.
"Ah, new place?"
"Hey, wait for me"
"Who do we kill here?"
"How do we sacrifice this place?"
This time, more shamans started pouring out. They didn’t even look at their dead comrade and kept coming out of the portal. These ones carried swords, spears, clubs and all manner of weapons.
And it was like they didn’t see Jon at all.
"So, you trash come here to do what?" Jon questioned.
And as if they had just noticed him, they said.
"Hey, he looks strong."
"I’ll fight him."
"No, I’ll go."
They totally ignored his question and began arguing on who will fight him. And a female with a spear rushed at him without even listening to their fights.
Thrusting out her spear with a wild grin, Jon met her spear with his fist.
BANG...
"Kurghh."
The punch was so heavy and forceful, the spear’s end dug into her heart. Her life went like that.
"Look at that bitch, she just died like that."
"Hehehe, I’m next now"
Not expecting anything from them again, Jon rushed at them.
BANG...BANG...BANG...BANG
One punch took a life at the front and his bronze skin blocked all their weapons from behind.
He dodged a spear that dug into his ally’s chest and shot his fist at his head. He grabbed the large mace held by one of them and swung it killing about fifteen. He then threw it away and entered the battle again.
However, the shamans had more to deliver.
Shamans began casting spells from behind and shooting it at the middle of the fight, not caring about their allies. Immediately seeing the progression, Jon stretched out, and out of his red bloodied body blue fog came and gathered around the spell-casters.
’Cut’
With a single command, the spell-casters fell to the ground as their consciousness had been cut of them. As fast as they came, they fell. And Jon didn’t withdraw the fog, he let it latch on and spread.
Even with that, he didn’t stop moving his hands and legs. He didn’t forget to move his body like a martial artist, so even though it looked like quite a regal and brutish way of fighting, he was still practicing his martial arts.
At this point, the numbers pouring out began doubling.
’Faster’, he to go faster. As if his previous fights had just been a play, he morphed his rod into a very long sword. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
With impossible movement, hundreds of heads started flying off their heads. And when everyone was now coming straight for him, he used shadow steps to go behind them and swing.
Before one knew it, his kill counts started matching their exit.
As for the shamans, they also experienced a change. At first, they were mocking their allies, however after hills of bodies began forming, they stopped talking and even started using formations.
However, in front of someone who could just go behind you, what point was a formation. It was shattered like fragile glass.
So, they began to perform their shaman ways.
One middle aged shaman reached his hand through his left chest and ripped out his heart. "I give back to homeland, give me power"
Like that, his level increased from 30 to 40. It was really a bizarre thing to do, and as if the remaining remembered they could do that, they all stopped and began pulling out their hearts.
At first Jon thought their sacrifice could make them move to the next realm, so he watched a level 50 perform the ritual and though it felt like his level increased, his realm didn’t increase.
’So, there’s no cheat to moving up the realms’ nodding his head to the change, he then morphed his very long sword to a rapier now. And activated his gaze to find their weak spots
It was like their sacrifices didn’t mean anything. His speed even increased as he started piecing through. Using his telekinesis now, one pierce was killing tens as he disappeared around.
Now his kill count increased to thousands in ten seconds.
Raising his hands, he formed thousands of web shards.
BANG...BANG...BANG...BANG...BANG
The shamans still kept dying in droves. Realizing their self-sacrifices weren’t working, they took it to the next level.
They gathered in tens forming a circle. Then they recited a chant and at the end, "Give me power"
Suddenly nine of the shamans exploded but they didn’t disappear. They coated over the last person standing.
WHOOOOM
And they didn’t stop there. Those shamans left also sacrificed themselves again for another. It was a really strange situation in the fact they kept increasing their power even though they couldn’t cross that threshold.
Now seeing this, Jon decided to take it a bit serious.
Morphing it back to his first weapon, the spear. He applied aura and moon energy. Then ’One strike’.
Over his red and bloodied figure, blue could be seen glowing over his spear. Closing his eyes for a moment, he flashed it open glowing blue, ’Will slash’
"Moon slash: cut"
