Last Ruler Of The Empty Throne-Chapter 141: Jon vs Moon people
’What is that?’ Jon’s eyes narrowed as he activated Moon Gaze, scanning the changes on the battlefield.
His expression darkened, not because he couldn’t understand it, but because of their meaning.
Behind the Moon leader, there was a full moon. It was much smaller than the moon he had seen previously, but it didn’t matter. Underneath this moon, the moon leader was at maximum strength, and all his abilities became stronger.
Above the second, a moon-colored mirror floated. This mirror could absorb and reflect attacks with greater force.
All around the body of the third was a crescent moon. It was like a tattoo around his body. With this tattoo, his speed and reflexes were enhanced to another level.
Large rings of swirling blue covered the hands of the fourth, like bracers. When those luminous rings pulsed with moonlight, they stunned their enemies and disrupted their minds.
Beside the fifth, a pair of blue spectral wolves stood at his sides, their silver fangs gleaming as they prowled.
Ethereal blue chains coiled around the body of the sixth; if those chains touched one, it drained their power and induced drowsiness.
The seventh and final kept flickering in and out. His presence would have remained hidden if not for the moon shadows around, shrouding him in illusions and allowing him to move like an assassin. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Jon exhaled sharply as he activated ’Principles of inscription’. ’This will be tough.’ How did he know all this? His moon gaze told him.
He glanced at his status window, taking in his power levels against these seven adversaries.

Without hesitation, he spent 50 points to conjure four Divine Web Spears, making them float around him. Planting his rod firmly into the ground, he summoned his spear and assumed his stance.
Then, the battle began.
Jon materialized tens of cloud clones around him. Instantly, the blue ethereal chains lashed out, wrapping around the clones and dissipating them like mist. The chains snaked toward him, forcing him to move—
SHAAA!
A blinding surge of moonlight erupted. Jon stood firm, unfazed—his Mind Gaze rendered him immune to mental interference. But his clones weren’t so lucky; they vanished under the pressure.
CLANG!
Jon instinctively raised his spear, barely deflecting a dagger aimed at his throat. The hidden moon behind the seventh warrior pulsed, and more shadowy figures emerged, daggers flashing in the dim light.
"Tch—"
Jon stepped back as they lunged. Then—
Boom!
He propelled himself into the air, dodging the chains striking where he stood moments ago.
"Haaah!"
Mid-air, Jon launched a Divine Web Spear- second effect- at the assassin, but—
SHRIIING!
The moon mirror intercepted the attack, absorbing it in an instant. Jon’s eyes widened as the mirror flared with light—
Whoosh!
The spear was hurled back at him with double the force.
"Guhh—!"
The impact sent Jon flying, his Brass Skin and Bronze Bones preventing the spear from piercing through, but drawing blood nonetheless.
ROARRR!
Two blue wolves lunged at him mid-flight.
Jon twisted in the air, narrowly avoiding their fangs. If they’re like summoned beasts...
He pierced and slashed relentlessly, but they refused to fall. His gaze darted to the moon warriors still watching from afar and realized, ’The cores aren’t in the wolves, they’re in their masters.’
Slash!
In that brief moment, he had suffered a cut on his hand. Thankfully, his pain tolerance was doing its job as he barely felt it.
Another blade sliced through the air where Jon’s head had been. He barely dodged as—
SLASH!
Another cut across his right shoulder.
Whoosh...
Jon immediately ducked his head as a blade mercilessly tore the air.
’Fast,’ As he was acknowledging, he had to dodge to the side again, and before he knew it, he began dodging frantically.
’He moved.’ Jon muttered as the crescent-moon warrior closed in, his speed unbelievable.
As he kept trying to dodge the crescent moon, the wolves burrowed their fangs when they found the chance, the chains kept whipping about with reckless abandon, and the assassin found ways to cut through his body. At this point, his body was drenched in his blood.
Jon gritted his teeth as cut after cut marred his body. He found himself being pushed into a corner, but thankfully, he wasn’t left defenseless. Because of his brass skin and bronze bones, he was only left with the number of injuries he currently had. Every once in a while, he reflected the injuries he had accumulated, and he used regeneration to heal himself.
But even despite all that, he was getting overwhelmed faster.
Such was the kind of fight between mind users.
"Fuck off!" Suddenly, he gathered telekinesis in both his hands and,
BOOOM!
His immediate surroundings exploded in shockwaves as he slammed them together.
The crescent moon retreated, and the chains and the wolves halted for a moment.
Using the lull, "Increase agility." He used his 16 remaining points to increase his agility. A surge of speed coursed through him, but the difference was still barely noticeable.
"Shadow Steps."
Jon’s figure blurred.
"Where did he—?"
The crescent warrior barely had time to react before—
BAM!
Jon’s fist crashed into his face, sending him flying.
The blue spear in Jon’s hand glowed dangerously as he activated the vector control, about to take out his enemy in one go—
And then, he vanished.
...
Meanwhile, atop a nearby building, the assassin had his own plan—a brilliant idea.
Why fight him head-on? I’ll take his friends hostage instead.
As the crescent warrior engaged Jon, the assassin dashed away, reaching the prisoners. His lips curled into a triumphant smile as he extended his hand toward them—
GRAB.
A crimson hand clenched around his throat.
"Khhk—"
Struggling, the assassin turned—
A man stood behind him, drenched in blood, eyes glowing with an eerie red aura.
The assassin’s breath hitched. ’What... is this...?’
Jon was meant to still be fighting. But how, how was he here?
