Leave Me Alone, Big Brothers! [BL]-Chapter 100: A New Bodyguard
In the morning.
Huan felt like his boss was messing with him. He stared at the list of tasks he had to do that day while Alexander played around.
This had never happened before. He was even sure that Alexander would keep working even if the apocalypse came. He was increasingly convinced that Alexander was deliberately making things difficult for him in his final days.
Jack looked at Huan. "Are you okay? We’re not going to the office today, right?"
Huan shook his head, sighing. "No, we need to deal with the Brazon brothers."
"That’s better. But the boss won’t come? They might see it as an insult."
"Actually, the problem is more than that. They are evil and dangerous. They will go all the way to get what they want. We have to get that deal, but make sure we are not lost to their greed."
Jack nodded. "I’ll be ready with my men. Are you sure you can handle it?"
Huan looked at Jack. "Not only me. But you too."
Jack groaned. "Aarrghhh, I’ll be ready to shoot, but not negotiate."
Huan looked at his cell phone. "Louis is leaving?"
Jack nodded. "Yes, he is leaving. I don’t believe Boss really fired him."
Huan fell silent, realizing that Alexander was signaling that he was no longer being listened to.
Huan grabbed the suitcase on the table and walked quickly toward the garage. Jack followed alertly.
Huan sighed unconsciously, remembering what he had done last night. He seemed to have made Alexander hate him to the extreme. He knew there was no way to make the man see reason. Alexander always knew what he was doing, except when it came to his feelings.
He was only creating problems for himself, making their relationship even more strained.
But on the other hand, Huan reassured himself that it would be better if he or Alexander ended up without feelings in the end. He didn’t want to suffer for the rest of his life.
It’s just... why was it so difficult? He had tried not to think about the man, but the more he tried, the more his heart ached.
"Huan, here!" Jack called out, pointing to a car.
Huan immediately snapped out of his reverie. He quickly turned around and walked faster. He couldn’t let his guard down today.
Meanwhile, Alexander woke up and headed to the kitchen. He ordered Serene to make porridge for Nathan and prepare a long list of foods that his brother should not consume until he recovered, as well as a list of foods to avoid in the future.
Serene nodded. "I didn’t know he had acid reflux. I’ll pay more attention to him in the future."
"Yes, make sure he never touches any coffee."
Serene nodded. "But it seems like coffee is okay if consumed in small amounts after meals. Maybe someday he’ll want to try it."
Alexander immediately shook his head. "No. I don’t want you to give him coffee. Whatever the reason. I don’t want to take the risk."
Serene nodded. "Yes, sure."
Before leaving, Alexander looked at Serene seriously. "Is he eating well?"
He only saw his brother sometimes at breakfast and dinner, and at those times, Nathan always finished all his food, never leaving anything behind. That made his heart ache. Was Nathan hungry?
"He always eats well. After school, sometimes he gets something to take to his room while he studies," replied Serene.
Alexander nodded. "I’ll ask the doctor what kind of milk he can drink. Get some for Nathan and give him more food. Give him whatever he wants, and make sure he eats well and doesn’t skip anything. If you think he’s not eating, tell me."
Serene nodded at Alexander’s long message. "Yes, sure."
In Nathan’s room, Lucas crept in to see Roger asleep on the sofa, while Nathan seemed to be awake but still lying on the bed.
Nathan felt his stomach still hurt more when he tried to get up, but not as badly as last night. He stared at Lucas walking closer. Among his brothers, Lucas was the one he liked the least.
But this morning, that guy looked calmer than usual. He expected him to mock him or ask him to wrestle.
Instead, Lucas held out his cell phone. "Sorry I took it last night. And ... thank you."
Nathan nodded weakly. "Just put it on the table," he said, not wanting to move.
Lucas looked awkward and anxious. "You okay?"
He sat on the edge of the bed.
"Still alive," Nathan replied weakly, looking at Lucas and remembering how scared the young man had been last night.
"You okay?" Nathan asked back, which was answered with a nod.
Their interaction was very awkward. The tension made Nathan’s stomach tighten again. He grimaced as the pain returned.
Lucas’s eyes widened, as if he saw Nathan on the verge of death. "Nathan, what happened?"
Nathan shook his head. "I’m okay."
At that moment, Alexander entered. He gave Nathan some medicine to take before eating.
"Take this. I asked Serene to bring you breakfast. You don’t need to go downstairs," said Alexander, handing him a pill.
An hour later.
The "peace and quiet" Nathan had hoped for was non-existent. He saw Serene being helped by several servants preparing breakfast in his room.
They didn’t bring a table or chairs, just a stack of bread on the sofa table, and prepared coffee and tea.
Nathan lay propped up against a mountain of pillows, looking pale and exhausted. His stomach still felt like it had been put through a paper shredder. He just wanted to sleep, but his room felt like a night market.
Nael was already looking very neat, approaching Nathan, who looked so miserable.
"You feel worse?" asked Nael.
Nathan nodded.
Roger was sitting on the edge of the mattress, peeling an orange. Nael stared at him intently.
"You won’t give it to Nathan, right?"
"Why not?" asked Roger.
Nael stared as if his brother was joking. "You were here last night. Doctor Edward said Nathan can’t eat acidic foods."
"It’s just an orange."
Alexander heard him. "You better stay away from Nathan before you kill him," he said.
Roger sighed dramatically, staring at the half-peeled orange in his hand. "Well, okay! I’ll eat it myself. What can I give him then?" 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"Nothing. He’ll just have the porridge," replied Alexander, drinking his coffee.
Just then, a servant arrived with a tray of porridge for Nathan.
Malvin quickly finished his bread and moved closer. He took the porridge and helped Nathan eat it.
Nathan looked annoyed. He felt strange with all this attention.
"It’s not hot, open your mouth," Malvin pleaded, holding out a spoonful of pale-looking porridge.
Nathan refused.
"I’m fine, really," Nathan muttered, pulling the blanket higher. "Can you just leave me alone? I can eat by myself."
"Why? Take a bit," Malvin insisted.
They seemed to ignore Nathan’s complaints. Nathan frowned, knowing Malvin would not stop trying to feed him.
Finally, he opened his mouth.
Nathan felt a strange lump in his throat as he swallowed the porridge. It tasted of nothing.
The porridge tasted bland, but his heart felt strange.
In the orphanage, he was used to enduring pain and trying to relieve it himself. Lara would give him medicine and let him rest while she was busy with the other children.
Now, having his brothers worry over him was suffocating, but it was also comforting.

The next few hours.
Alexander entered Nael’s room, looking more rested than he felt. He looked at Nael, who was closing his bag and looking at him with a big smile.
"Ready to go?"
"I’ve been ready for twenty minutes," Nael chirped, though his eyes drifted toward the door. "Is Nathan really okay with us leaving? I felt bad... he’s still sick."
"Nathan told us he just wants to sleep for ten years," Alexander said, ruffling Nael’s hair. "So we leave him in peace and quiet."
Nael beamed. "Then let’s go! Can we get panda ice cream?"
"Anything you want. But in this cold? You want ice cream?"
Nael nodded enthusiastically. "Yes!"
Alexander sighed. "Anything you want. But not too much, or you’ll end up getting sick."
Nael just nodded. "I want to go to the cinema, ice skating, then we eat together!"
Alexander smiled as they walked out. "You seem to have prepared a lot."
"Of course! It’s my first time in seventeen years! I will not waste the time."
Alexander just smiled, hiding his guilt. "Why the cinema? We have a home theater, if you’ve forgotten."
"It’s different. There, you watch it with a lot of people."
"It’s annoying. But anyway, it’s your day. Let’s go!"
As they headed toward the foyer, a tall, imposing man in a sharp black suit stepped forward. He wasn’t Louis. He was broader, with a scar running through his eyebrow. He looked like a hitman.
Lorenzo. That man was rarely seen. Nael had only seen him a few times. And every time that man came, he felt uncomfortable.
The man was very quiet, staring like an eagle.
"Nael, from today, he will be your primary bodyguard. He’ll be coming with us." Alexander deliberately wanted Nael to get used to the man.
Nael’s smile faltered for a fraction of a second. The reminder of the "incident" and Louis’s absence stung, but he looked at Lorenzo and gave a polite nod. "Nice to meet you."
Lorenzo bowed his head slightly. "It’s an honor, Master Nael."
As they walked to the car, Nael grabbed Alexander’s hand, squeezing it tight. He didn’t care about the new bodyguard or the drama of the night before. For today, he just wanted to be a spoiled younger brother.
