Leave Me Alone, Big Brothers! [BL]-Chapter 133: Just a Normal Dating
Meanwhile, Daniel’s cafe was as busy as it usually was on Saturdays. The man made sure the cafe took in as many customers as possible, so there were still a few tables and chairs left available.
People came and went, and the atmosphere grew colder as the wind picked up.
"Can’t you just leave him at home?" Zane grumbled after a long silence, glaring at Louis, who was sitting not far from them.
Nathan, who had been looking at the cashier because it seemed that Daniel had hired a new person, now looked at Zane and smiled understandingly.
"I can go out because of him. You have to get used to him. Besides, he never bothers us," said Nathan, feeling strange about himself. But he was used to Louis’ presence, and in some ways it made him feel safe.
But he understood Zane’s annoyance because they were supposed to enjoy the evening together like a normal couple.
Zane just sighed, stirring his coffee. He had been annoyed since Nathan insisted on bringing him to the cafe when he had already made a reservation at a restaurant.
Nathan looked at Zane, realizing that the boy had been in a bad mood since earlier.
"Are you bored? I’m sorry, I just wanted to bring you here because I haven’t seen Ray in a long time," said Nathan, looking uncomfortable. He was sure Zane didn’t feel comfortable in that small cafe.
Seeing Nathan looking gloomy and feeling guilty, Zane was taken aback. His chest pounded uncomfortably. He immediately shook his head.
"No, it’s OK," he lied.
"We’ll go after we finish our drinks," said Nathan.
Zane looked at the man behind the cash register, who was still busy and occasionally glanced in their direction. The tall man seemed friendly. He looked back at Nathan.
"That’s your friend?" asked Zane.
"Not really a friend, but I used to work here. I know him. His name is Ray, he’s a very good guy," said Nathan. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Zane grabbed Nathan’s hand. "Sorry, I’m being a bitch right now. I was planning to ask you to the restaurant I usually go to."
"I know. This cafe is small, but it’s quite comfortable. Maybe tonight there are just too many people."
"It’s not because the cafe is small. I’m used to eating street food. Anyway, sorry. We’ll enjoy it tonight. We can go somewhere else next time, we have plenty of time."
Nathan nodded. He felt a little awkward because this was his first time having a boyfriend. He had imagined many things they could do on a date.
"By the way, how are your parents? You went out with them today, right?" asked Zane suddenly. He was curious to meet Natasha.
Nathan nodded, not enthusiastic about discussing it. "I don’t know. I don’t feel like I have a connection with them. They are good people, I think. I just still can’t forgive them, whatever their reason."
Zane nodded, stirring his drink. "It’s hard, for sure. I can’t imagine if my father threw me out like that and then took me back after. Maybe I wouldn’t be as strong as you."
"I signed an agreement to participate in all activities with them for six months, which is why I had to go today."
"But at least you enjoyed yourself."
Nathan enjoyed it; they went to the amusement park inside a large mall. When he wasn’t thinking about his parents and what they were doing, he could enjoy the rides. It was exciting.
"Well, that part, I enjoyed it. When can we go together?" asked Nathan.
Zane was excited. "Of course! It’s in X Mall, right? What do you think about having your own mall? Do they know you?" he asked curiously.
Nathan looked at Zane as if he had just heard something strange. "What?"
"What... what?"
"My own mall?" asked Nathan, clarifying his confusion.
"Well, don’t say you don’t know. It’s the only mall that has a game center in this city. It belongs to the Salazar Group."
Nathan looked surprised. "I don’t want to sound bitchy, but I really don’t know about it."
Zane smiled, understanding. "It’s okay. I think they didn’t tell you about it."
Nathan remembered what they had done earlier that day, but everyone had seemed normal. He became curious and opened his phone to find out who his family really was.
He was sure that it was normal for rich people to be in the public eye and that he could find some information about them. However, at that moment, he couldn’t find any information related to his family.
Even Roger, who was a model and should have been in the media spotlight, had only a few photos featured in magazines, and even those didn’t explain which family he came from.
"It seems like the Salazars aren’t popular," said Nathan, doubting his family’s wealth.
Zane chuckled. "You won’t find them on news sites; they’re really strict about privacy. Even if you were caught murdering someone, you wouldn’t make the news unless your family went bankrupt."
"Why is that? Weird."
"Why? Because I think your family has the power to control it. It’s not because your family isn’t popular, but many people my father mentions really hate the media. They try their best to stay behind the wall."
Nathan stared at his phone screen. There was only some information about several companies owned by the Salazar Group, but nothing about his family.
He wondered if they didn’t have social media.
He searched for his Facebook account, which he had created several years ago and rarely opened, and he realized that the account no longer existed.
"What happened?" asked Zane, seeing Nathan typing seriously on his phone.
"I don’t know. I think I forgot my email and password for Facebook. But I can’t find it," said Nathan.
"You don’t need it anymore. You’ll be too busy to be active on social media," said Zane. "Besides, it’s safer for you if you intend to leave them after six months."
Nathan sighed. He put his phone away and looked at Zane. "What if I get you into trouble because of me?"
"Why would that happen?"
What if he left the family and then some bad people targeted them and hurt Zane? He would never forgive himself.
"Don’t worry about me. People will think twice about hurting me. My father is powerful enough, at least because of your family too." Zane didn’t expect to say something so silly. Life was sometimes so ridiculous. He, who used to hate the Salazars so much, was now sitting so close to one of their descendants.
"By the way, Huan is back."
Zane was surprised to hear that.
"Yes, I was shocked too. I haven’t met him yet, but everyone is really excited. And Alex keeps him with him all day. I can’t blame him; for sure he won’t let him go," said Nathan.
"Quite shocking," said Zane.
They talked about many things. Occasionally, Zane chuckled at Nathan’s words. And the night passed so quickly. The cafe closed, and they moved to the playground.
Louis groaned. "Nathan, it’s so fucking freezing. Can’t you stay somewhere inside?" he complained.
Zane sat on a park bench next to Nathan. "It’s not that cold. You have your jacket," he said.
"Can you stay in the car?" said Nathan.
Louis immediately shook his head. "No way. I can’t leave you here." He looked at Zane with an incredulous gaze, which offended Zane.
"I will not kill him," he said coldly.
"Yes, I know you won’t, but I can’t risk both of you doing something stupid again," said Louis.
Nathan immediately felt his cheeks flush, remembering what Louis had seen yesterday. "I’ve told you, we did nothing! It’s not like what you are thinking!"
Louis still didn’t believe him. And the two teenagers were quite frustrated because their date night was interrupted by that man.
Nathan didn’t care; he sometimes deliberately made Louis uncomfortable. And Zane played along.
"Should we kiss?" Nathan asked softly.
Louis immediately stopped him. "Oh, not now! Please!"
"Why? Can you look away? We’re dating, you know?!" Nathan grumbled.
Zane nodded. "Yes, you should find your own lover, so you understand what people do when they’re dating."
Louis clicked his tongue, staring at Zane. "I know better than you. I’m not that pathetic to kiss in a public park."
Zane and Nathan didn’t care; they sat closer together, with Louis as their audience.
Louis sighed, sitting on the swing and staring at Nathan, who had rested his head on Zane’s jacket. He shook his head. "Kids!" he muttered softly.
"I need to go back now!" Nathan suddenly remembered something.
"What? Why?"
"Tomorrow is Roger’s birthday. I want to make a cake for him." Because he didn’t know what gift to give him. The man probably already had everything.
Meanwhile, he was used to making cakes at the orphanage back then.
"You’re going to make him a cake? I’m sure they’ve already prepared something for him," said Zane.
Nathan knew. "I know. I’ll just make it for him to keep for himself."
Zane looked at Nathan. "Oh, how thoughtful you are. You can always win anyone’s heart with food. You really are a good cook. I’d like to enjoy your cake too someday."
Nathan felt his cheeks flush at the compliment.
Zane then stood up. "Let’s go then. Next week, I will give you your ’late Valentine’s gift.’ I will finish your painting."
Nathan’s eyes widened with excitement. "Wow! I can’t wait to see it!"
Zane smiled. "I hope you will like it. But it’s 90% done now."
"Of course I will like it!" Nathan replied cheerfully.
"Let’s go! It takes hours to make a cake. Don’t sleep late," said Zane like a caring boyfriend.
