Legacy Of Fire: Chronicles Of The F-ranked Anomaly-Chapter 100: Another Eerie Feeling
Darius had charged for Ignor, he wasn’t going to waste time to make sure that he would deal with the Orc warrior, and there wasn’t a thing going to keep him down.
"You weak warrior!" Ignor roared as he tried to push our young warrior down, but Darius was not going to let him do anything.
Darius was tanking each blow the Orc tried to land, a smile on his face as he readied his next attack and blow.
"You know," Darius kept dodging the Orc’s attack, he sat on the Orc’s shoulder. "There should be something that told you it was going to be a bad idea to even think of hurting me."
Ignor understood what Darius was trying to do; he was not taking the fight seriously, and he was trying to get on his nerves.
"You!"
The Orc tried to hit the warrior perched on his shoulder, but Darius slipped away like a fly, a smile on his face as he did so. Ignor landed the hit on his shoulder, but he ended up hurting himself.
"Sorry, I didn’t know you didn’t like people staying on your shoulder. I thought you were happy with it." Darius smiled. He began swinging the red cobra blade, his eyes on the Orc.
"Fight me!" Ignor roared, he was looking at Darius with his heart boiling with rage.
Darius’s eyes darkened, and he looked at the Orc. "So you want to fight, huh?"
The white haired warrior took his stance, looking at the monster, his blade ready to strike and kill anything that would stand in his way.
"Let’s dance!" Darius bolted for the Orc.
The next place he appeared was behind the Orc warrior, in his hand was Ignor’s left arm.
"Arghhh!" Ignor roared as he fell to the floor on his knees, turning, he swung his axe to see if he would be able to kill Darius. But our young warrior was faster than he had calculated.
Darius appeared right in front of the Orc warrior, using his knee, he struck the Orc with a deadly blow strong enough to kill a man.
"Come on!" He yelled, bashing his head into the Orc’s face. "I thought you could regenerate!"
Ignor pushed Darius off him, the monster was in pain. letting out a blood-curdling cry as his left arm began regenerating, he looked at Darius with immense bloodlust.
"You dare?!"
Darius had a nasty smile on his face, his eyes resembled those of a psychopath. "You think there is going to be a chance for me to let you even think of going free?"
He pulled Ve’xa out, the blade snarled as it slowly broke into its seven segments, revealing its whip-like nature.
"Now please, heal up so I would be able to cut you down and watch you heal again." He pointed the blade at the Orc.
The other warriors were facing the weaker Orcs, and out of a hundred, they had slain eighty-nine. They were faster than the first time they had seen the Orcs, especially Theo and Raya.
Taking down the Orcs was not a hard thing for them since Michael made sure to heal them.
"These boozos ain’t nothing!" Michael yelled as he killed another Orc; his immense strength made him a scary figure for the Orcs.
"Now that’s 90!" He smiled as he turned to see Theo moving through the Orcs like he was dancing, he noticed how elegant his moves were that which made him fascinated.
’He is good,’ He turned to see Raya, her body coated with blue flames, slashing through Orcs like they were nothing but a chore for her. "Look at her go!"
Michael turned to look at Darius, he saw the white haired warrior staring at the Orc. He saw the dark energy coating the Orc, the amount of corrupted mana flowing through the being, but then Darius was completely unfazed.
He was looking at them, and he saw it again, but this time it was not like he had seen earlier. It was the aura of a crimson dragon covering Darius, it was as if the warrior was coated with some kind of majestic armor in the form of the creature.
’Just what in the world is that man?’
Darius was looking at Ignor, his smile still on his face, while he waited for the Orc to complete his healing so they would go back to fighting.
’You don’t want to cut him down now?’ Azree asked. Anyone would wonder why Darius was not trying to kill Ignor now that he had the chance to.
"I want to test something on him, so I need him alive to see if it is really what I have in mind going to work." Darius tilted his head while he was looking at the Orc warrior. A smile on his face, there was no telling what it was going to become and how strong it would be after the regeneration.
"He should be done anytime soon..."
"Child of Chaos.." A loud whisper echoed through the air, shivers went down Darius’s spine.
He turned to look at the Orc, but then he wasn’t feeling only Ignor’s energy anymore. There was something more going on that he couldn’t even see.
"This feeling!" Our young white haired warrior was looking at the Orc, he drew Ve’xa as he got ready to kill the Orc. "The Children Of The Abyss, they are here!"
He dashed for the Orc, he wasn’t taking any time. But the moment he got close to Ignor, a strong repelling force pushed him back. It was strong enough to hold Darius back.
Darius was looking at the Orc, he could still get that dark, eerie feeling from the Orc. He turned to see Pryion standing there, with Isakador in his hands.
"Pryion!" He called out for his knight. "Throw me your sword!"
Without hesitation, Pryion unsheathed Isakador and threw the sword to Darius. "Lord Darius, be careful how you wield the blade!"
Darius, using his left hand, caught the blade. The sword reacted to the Scepter’s power, and the heat from Isakador burned Darius’s left sleeve off.
It slowly burned his skin off, he was looking at the Orc. "This sword, why is it so hard to use?"
[Notice Isakador is repelling your will as the Dragon Sage!]
[Using the Blade will consume mana more than any of your arsenals!]
"I only need to use it once and that’s it!" Darius lifted Isakador, looking at the Orc. "BURN TO ASHES!"
"Holy Flame Of Chaos!" He yelled, swinging the blade down with an intense speed. What followed the slash was a powerful wave of bright crimson flame, consuming everything that blocked its path. Also, burning Ignor before he had the chance to completely heal, the flames were so hot that they took down anything close to it.
Darius stood there looking at the burning Orc, Isakador still in his hand, slowly burning off his skin. it was like he couldn’t feel the pain from the sword’s heat, he was putting all his focus on the Orc.
Pryion walked over to Darius, taking the blade from him. "Give it here, my liege."
Darius turned to the knight and gave him the blade, he was not going to be holding something like that for long.
"Thank you." He said, turning back to the Orc.
"That thing, it isn’t done yet." Darius gritted his teeth, he could still feel Pryion’s life force even though it was faint. He could feel it...
"You’re right, my liege, the Orc isn’t done for. Maybe we should try one more time to see if we can end it."
Pryion was ready to draw his sword, and Darius followed in his lead, slowly pulling Ve’xa to his side.
He knew what was coming and wanted to make sure that there was nothing going to let him make a mistake. "We can’t let that thing go for the others. If not, there is going to be..."
He turned back to the Orc, he could feel something coming out. Before he could say anything, a dark tentacle swatted him away like a fly.
"Lord Darius!" Pryion yelled as he turned back to the Orc, and he could see something coming out of the ashes. It wasn’t normal in any way.
"What in the world is that?" He moved back, looking up, and he could see the Orc walk out of the flames. But then it wasn’t looking like the same normal Orc they had faced.
Everyone on the battlefield, both the Orcs, felt the energy shift.
They turned to see the monster emerging from the ashes, and there they saw it.
"What in the heavens is that?" Raya asked her blade close to her chest, her eyes were trying to understand what it was they were looking at.
"What is that?!" Michael was even shocked to see a beast like that emerge.
Theo was looking at the monster, his spear in his hands, as he stared at it. "Good heavens, how are we going to beat this?"
Ignor was long gone, and what was right there in front of them seemed different; the Orc now had four shadow-like tentacles coming out of its back, and its eyes were dripping with blood. Ignor’s claws seemed to have grown even longer, the beast was no longer an Orc. But rather an abomination..
