Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword-Chapter 51: Aren’t You Ashamed?
The Azure Cleave Dojo’s main core philosophy was simple.
Strike once, if it fails, retreat or die.
Master Shen hated prolonged fight. He was an individual, who would rather retreat and utilized his beast pets to seek a chance to end a battle in one decisive strike.
Other dojos hated Azure Cleave Dojo for it. They ridiculed their disciples as cowards and called their martial arts "mosquito."
However, every disciple knew that they were fighting against beasts tide, not another human being.
The tradition to fight against other dojo was a learning experience, not to prove that they were better.
Other outer disciples, after beginning to understand the core philosophy, came up a better idea to execute it efficiently.
Worked together and attacked at the same time in different direction.
Utilizing the Mist-Splitting Line, a five outer disciple attacking a single outer disciple, even if latter ranked ten ladders ahead of them, they would definitely immobilized him.
It was exactly what the current situation unfolded right now.
Felix was facing simultaneous attack from different directions.
It was quite similar to the lynx coordinated assault before.
However, this time around, he was ready.
He swept his gaze and perceived the right timing to retaliate after calculating the distance and speed he had to achieve to block them.
He held his breath, grasped his sword tightly, and swung his sword around in different direction in a rapid motion.
All the outer disciple had a wide grin on their faces as they were about to land their wooden sword at him.
After all, they would achieve two things by defeating Felix—they could easily gain higher merit points and they would humiliate Felix after he offended the inner disciple.
They might even be rewarded by the latter.
They could barely restrain their body from trembling in excitement.
They weren’t even bothered seeing Felix blocking two wooden sword in a row. There were other four wooden swords coming right at him, he couldn’t possibly deflect them all, right?
They were wrong. The mischievous expression on their faces instantly faded as Felix successfully blocked all the wooden swords in a fluid, unpredictable motion.
It wasn’t just a simple block, he managed to hack their wooden swords away from them.
They fell to the floor in all fours, gasping in shock.
H-How was that possible?
Most of them were already at the Awakener Rank 6 and above, causing them to be physically stronger than Felix, who was still in Awakener Rank 5.
The disparity between minor rank also made them gain confidence.
They might not know the actual rank of Felix, but just knowing he summoned just a few days ago simply meant he was still not powerful enough.
Not powerful enough...
Bullshits! What was that, then?
They thought at the same time, as they tilted their heads upward.
They were dumbfounded to see him grasping for breath, as though what he did exhaust most of his stamina.
Despite that, the way he gazed at them were cold, sending chills running down their spine.
He might be exhausted already to perform the same technique again, but from his indifferent gaze, they wouldn’t be surprised he could still heavily injure them.
Their hearts skipped a beat. One of them silently reached for their sword to try take Felix by surprise as he was situated behind him, but Albert’s voice echoed, startling them.
"Round 1 finished!"
"Clear winner: Felix Hill. He gains 30 Merits. He will gain another special 30 Merits for taking down five opponents at once."
The five defeated outer disciples were shocked. They lowered their head in shame as they felt completely overwhelmed.
They have never experienced an overwhelming defeat, especially after they were confident they would win.
What Max did was totally out of their expectations. Who would expect him to perform such an advance level sword techniques?
Just as they wondered, they finally realized something.
Felix wasn’t using the philosophy and sword techniques of the Azure Cleave Dojo at all.
What does that mean?
Among them sharply turned his head around at the direction where Albert was at and shouted, "Instructor Albert!"
Seconds later, Albert finally appeared and glanced at him coldly.
"What?"
The disciple was intimidated. Nevertheless, they took courage by gulping their saliva, as they stammered.
"H-He is not using our sword techniques."
Instructor Albert’s cold countenance softened and replied, "He is not, they have their own sword techniques, even Krisha Chambers. They are also here as guests, not as disciples of Azure Cleave Dojo. However, they will be participating every battle here and they are eligible to enter the ranking."
"T-That’s..."
"What?" Instructor Albert sharply asked. "That’s wrong?"
The disciple lowered his head and did not reply.
Instructor Albert snorted. "They have just began learning their own sword techniques and they already overwhelmed you. Not only you, but five of you. Also, you were ganging up on him, aren’t you ashamed?"
The other four followed suit, lowering their heads in embarrassment.
Instructor Albert continued, "Use this as a lesson. No matter what under handed tricks you try, if it’s morally wrong, then it won’t work. You thirst for power and privilege, but you don’t deserve them at your current state."
The five outer disciples remained silent, continuing to bow their heads.
Instructor Albert snorted again and turned towards Felix.
He was filled with perspiration and he was breathing heavily. On his current state, he might not be suitable to participate in the remaining rounds.
He said, "You should take a rest now. There’s still more days to come to participate in the ramble."
Felix glanced at him with weary eyes and nodded.
"Thank you, Instructor Albert."
Instructor Albert was quite surprised. He thought Felix was referring to how he stood up for him after the outer disciples complained, but he recalled he had given him a special merit allocation.
He beamed a smile. "No worries. You deserve those. I’m looking forward for more surprise you’ll about to show."
Felix smiled bitterly.
He already did his best, so he might have to disappoint Instructor Albert unless he made a breakthrough in the minor rank or his sword techniques...
