"The leader of the eight people who ambushed the treasure hunting team is named Vasel Wen."

In the hotel suite, Mona placed a photo on the dining table and introduced it seriously:

"This guy is no ordinary person. The Atlanta police suspect that at least six bank robberies in Georgia are related to him, but they have no evidence or leads."

The photo showed a white man who appeared to be in his thirties, with well-proportioned muscles, glasses perched on his nose, and a genial smile.

Looking at the face in the photo, Luo An asked:

"What about the others?"

"The other seven people are..."

Mona briefly introduced their names and identities, saying:

"The Georgia police have already identified the connections between these eight people, but they haven't found evidence of their bank robberies.

The nine bodies left at the factory that night, autopsy reports showed that four of the bodies' DNA perfectly matched four of these eight people.

The two bodies of the ambushers found in the rental house also matched the DNA of two of these eight people.

In summary, the ambushers that night were indeed this gang led by Vasel Wen.

There were a total of eight people; six died in the battle that night, leaving only Vasel himself and a demolitionist named Vernon, who has several gold teeth."

Luo An remained silent, and Reesi followed up with a question:

"There were nine bodies in the factory fire; besides these four, what were the identities of the remaining five bodies?"

"One of the deceased was Leon, who was reportedly in poor mental health and was driving Anatoli to escape."

Mona pulled out several documents from her handbag and distributed them to everyone, saying:

"As for the remaining four, their names are Aaron, Albert, Jack, and Susan.

Without a doubt, these four were members of the counterfeit money team."

"Susan graduated from art school and is a painter; Jack is a top chemistry student; Albert has been imprisoned for financial fraud through identity forgery; Aaron is a former special forces soldier..."

Looking at the identity information of the four people, Winslow remarked emotionally:

"All of them are talented."

Reesi nodded in agreement, then shook her head:

"Indeed, they're talented, just took the wrong path."

Luo An glanced over the four people's identities briefly, then placed the folder on the table. He took Mona's autopsy report, squinting his eyes as he summed up:

"So, after the fire, the black-eating-black group led by Vasel Wen has two people left; the counterfeit money team also has two people left.

Benson is still alive, leaving only him and the mentally unstable Anatoli in the treasure hunting team."

"Before the fire started, Benson entrusted the counterfeit money and ancient gold coins to the mentally unstable Anatoli, instructing him to go to New York, saying he would also head there later, arranging to meet up."

Chenier furrowed her brows and analyzed:

"But in the end, only Anatoli made it to New York, and Benson never showed up.

Current clues indicate that Benson didn't die in that fire, so I suspect he might have been taken by either the black-eating-black group or the counterfeit team."

"Very likely."

Winslow, Mona, Michelle, and Reesi all nodded, agreeing with Chenier's hypothesis.

Luo An crossed his arms over his chest, thought for a moment, and then asked:

"The two remaining in the black-eating-black team are leader Vasel and the gold-toothed demolitionist Vernon.

In the treasure hunting team, we've caught the mentally unstable Anatoli. The other one is Benson.

Mona, can you find the identities of the two remaining in the counterfeit team?"

"Sorry."

Mona spread her hands, looking a bit resigned, and said:

"The fire destroyed so much; there's no NDA, fingerprints, or other information outside of those nine bodies.

Susan and the other three's phones from the counterfeit team weren't found at the fire scene either.

Possibly, they were collected before making the counterfeits, and when the fire started, the other two in the counterfeit team took them away.

Their past call records are all separate, regular numbers, with no contacts between them nor any suspicious calls or messages linking them."

"Really cautious."

Winslow and Chenier looked grim, while Michelle and Reesi furrowed their brows:

"Vasel from the black-eating-black team isn't simple. The leader of the counterfeit team now seems just as troublesome."

"It's only normal."

Luo An rubbed his chin and said in a low voice:

"The counterfeit money business is complex in all aspects. If the team leader were simple, these super counterfeits couldn't be made."

Mona and the others all agreed. After a few seconds of silence, Reesi asked:

"There are no surveillance cameras near the suburban factory area. We have many leads, but it seems like we can't investigate further...Luo An, what should we do next?"

The special investigation team has roughly figured out the story behind the factory fire that night and clarified the three factions before the fire started.

The only problem is that their primary target for this trip is the counterfeit money case.

They indeed have the bodies of four from the counterfeit team, but they still know nothing about the other two's appearance, names, or identities.

Michelle, Winslow, and Chenier looked grim, while Mona furrowed her brows, gazing at Luo An, who remained calm, gesturing:

"Don't panic, no rush."

Seeing Luo An so composed, Winslow and the others perked up, and Reesi excitedly asked:

"Luo An, have you thought of the next plan?"

"Of course...not."

Luo An's deep breath instantly froze Winslow and Reesi's expressions. Luo An chuckled and said:

"The clues have hit a dead end here; I don't really have any good ideas either."

Mona rolled her eyes, set down the coffee she was about to hand to Luo An, and asked:

"So what do you plan to do?"

"Keep going, and if we can't move forward, we might as well look back."

Seeing the confused faces of Winslow and Reesi, Luo An smiled and said:

"Winslow, call the forensics department and ask if they've figured out which shipwreck those numbered golds came from.

I'll also call Group Leader Paul in a bit; don't forget Klaus and Carl, whom we arrested that night."

After interrogating the mentally unstable Anatoli, Luo An had Chenier bring Klaus into the interrogation room, who had tried to take hostages and force Luo An's team to let him go.

During the interrogation, Klaus didn't care or answer Luo An's questions, only swearing angrily, filled with nothing but fury.

As for Carl, who was petrified by hand grenades seemingly with eyes, he was very forthcoming. But being just a team member, he knew nothing about who hired them to kidnap Anatoli.

In a hurry to get to Atlanta, Luo An temporarily handed Klaus over to Group Leader Paul.

Believing in Group Leader Paul's rich experience and amiable demeanor, Luo An thought Klaus would surely learn to talk well.

Sure enough, when the call connected, Group Leader Paul laughed heartily: 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"Luo An, Klaus is very cooperative; I quite like this guy!"
