Leisurely Farm Life in Beast World-Chapter 1493 - 1490: Strange Physiology
In the afternoon, Ji Nuan and Xiu Yan went to the Alonso Tribe again to bid farewell to the old Shaman, Adong, and Nigel.
The next day, the orcs left in a giant canoe, watched by the tribe members at the base.
They left behind two ferocious crocodiles, which, after some time of being fed, became really smart and grew very close to Fu Yi.
"Shaman, is this the right direction?" Ya Li sat on the boat, leaning out to ask.
Ji Nuan was speechless at this weirdo. You get seasick riding on Honghong’s back, but you’re lively and jumping on the boat. What kind of physiology is this? Makes me want to dissect you and find out.
"Yes, this is the right direction. Let the tribespeople remember it clearly."
Having said that, she patted Honghong’s big head: "Honghong, make sure your little friends remember the direction too."
Honghong swung its thick tail at the few ferocious crocodiles nearby, and the huge crocodiles let out a pitiful hiss.
After drifting for more than half a month, the orcs finally saw the vast golden desert. Seeing that familiar color, Ji Nuan couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. Finally arrived. Drifting on the sea every day is really unbearable.
The vast desert was desolate, and there were hardly any green patches in sight. Ya Li got off the boat, and all was not well for the orcs.
"Is this...the Desert Continent?" Oh my, this is even worse than what Shaman Ji Nuan said. There isn’t a single tree. What will we eat? What will we drink?
Ji Nuan crouched down to confirm the direction. They weren’t very far from the Black Quicksand.
Luo Gan suddenly caught up from behind: "Shaman, our previous tribe’s residence is nearby."
Ji Nuan turned her head in surprise to look at him. This guy hadn’t mentioned this to her before.
Luo Gan scratched his head, feeling quite embarrassed: "I didn’t think we’d come back before, so I didn’t tell you, hehe."
Ji Nuan gave him a sharp look, then turned around and climbed back onto Honghong’s back: "Give the direction, let’s head to the closer coastline first."
Luo Gan quickly nodded, mounted the ferocious crocodile, and led the way. The group of orcs traveled for about another hour and finally saw an oasis.
"Luo Gan, is that the residence you mentioned?"
Ya Li lay by the side of the boat, his eyes lighting up at the sight of the lush green area.
Luo Gan grinned widely: "That’s the one."
The orcs disembarked from the boat, and Ji Nuan instructed the orcs to carry the boat together towards the oasis.
Honghong and a few others dove into the deeper sea water as the surface was too hot.
The oasis was not far; it was only about a ten-minute journey from the shore. Ji Nuan looked over at Luo Gan: "Isn’t this residence a bit too close to the sea?"
Luo Gan smiled wryly: "Shaman, if it were further, we wouldn’t get a chance to occupy it."
Ji Nuan thought about it and agreed.
The oasis was empty, but it was considered a medium-sized oasis. The central lake was large, and the ground, like those from other large oases, was incredibly hard, although Ji Nuan still had no idea what lay underneath.
"Where did you all live before?"
Luo Gan led the orcs to a stone wall. A few nomadic orcs came over to help move aside the branches and such in front of the stone wall, revealing a pitch-black entrance: "This is where we dug and lived, and it leads all the way down."
