Leveling Up by Seducing Milfs-Chapter 118. The Tide Turns
The punch hit the Corruption Titan in the chest. They could all see the shockwave, which was a ripple of force that changed the air.
The Titan’s armor of corruption broke like glass. Its giant body flew back, soaring through the air for fifty meters before crashing into the corruption wave behind it.
The impact killed dozens of corrupted creatures, leaving behind a spray of dark ichor and broken bodies.
The Corruption Titan didn’t get back up, and it was immobilized with only just one hit. Until all it took was just one death from that fist alone.
The demon army cheered and danced. Weapons were raised high, and demons were screaming in victory and new hope. "THE RETURN OF THE KING!"
"THE KING HAS COME BACK!"
Rick watched from the demon soldier’s arms, his tired mind having a hard time processing what he had just seen. "That was... he just... did it with only... one punch, man...?"
Sebastian showed up on his shoulder, looking just as shocked. "That’s the real power of the Demon King, where not a single reincarnator would dare to challenge it."
"Retirement doesn’t seem to make him weak at all, what a bastard. It just means that he was sleeping for a very long time."
"Reincarnator...? You mean there are more people like me?"
"Oh shit, did I never tell you about that important part?"
"No! You fucking didn’t, asshole!"
"Hah... who cares anyway. Those reincarnators are just pussies who would rather enjoy their slow life without having a care for this world that’s going to be destroyed."
Without thinking twice, Zork waded into the horde of corruption. Every move was smart, efficient, and completely deadly.
He didn’t have a weapon, but he only had his fists and the things around him. He grabbed a corrupted beast by the tail and swung it like a club, killing three other enemies.
When he hit a shadow construct with his fist, it broke apart like it was nothing.
His fighting style was elegant in how brutal it was. There was a lot of combat experience on display, maybe even centuries of it.
There were no wasted moves. He often killed three or four enemies with one move, which made it look easy even though he was old.
He wasn’t just fighting, though. Zork was also giving tactical orders to the demon army while killing corrupted creatures left and right.
"EASTERN BATTALION! FLANK LEFT AND RELIEVE RYLAH’S POSITION!"
"MAGES! CONCENTRATE BARRIERS ON THE SOUTH WALL! THEY’RE WEAKEST THERE!"
"ARCHERS! FOCUS FIRE ON THE CLUSTERS! DON’T WASTE ARROWS ON SINGLES!"
The demon army moved in perfect sync, as if they had never stopped following his orders. Rick realized he was watching a master at work, someone who could fight and lead an army at the same time without losing focus.
Rick whispered in awe, "This is what a REAL warrior looks like."
"He’s not even holding a weapon. How can he be this strong at his age?"
Sebastian’s voice was unusually serious. "Age doesn’t matter to beings with real power."
"The Demon King is just him. He used his strength to conquer and unite the demon realms!"
"This is just him being casual."
The demon warriors on the other side of the battlefield rallied with new strength. Seeing their king fight again after years of retirement gave them the courage to do things that were almost crazy.
Commander Rylah’s battalion, which had been surrounded and was slowly being defeated, suddenly broke through their encirclement with a coordinated charge that sent their attackers running.
War Sorcerer Thera got a second wind. Her barriers became more stable and even stronger as she channeled magic with new determination.
Lieutenant Kessa’s archers shot twice as fast, and arrows fell on the corrupted horde like a deadly storm.
Even Healer Mara seemed to be inspired. As she worked hard on the injured, her healing magic got stronger.
Zara ran back into the fight to join her husband in battle. Her greatsword flashed as she fell into a fight with Zork, who had been fighting with her for years.
"Are you still using that old sword move?" Zork yelled as he smashed the head of a corrupted demon with his bare hands. "I taught you better than that!"
Zara smiled as she cut a shadow construct in half. "I’M MAKING IT UP!"
"Improvising is just failing with style!" Zork said, grabbing a corrupted beast and throwing it like a bowling ball into a group of enemies.
As they fought, both of them were laughing. The husband and wife shared the joy of fighting.
It was odd to see, but it felt right in some way. This was who they were and who they had always been. Warriors who lived for the thrill of battle.
From her position guarding Rick’s safety, Vyra observed Rick with fresh eyes. She had seen him fight in the nest of corruption.
She had seen how determined he was even though he was outmatched. But seeing him throw himself in front of the Corruption Titan’s killing blow to save General Zara, knowing he would die, and still choosing to do it... that changed everything.
Demons valued courage above almost everything else. Strength could be trained. Power could be gained. But courage, true courage in the face of certain death was rare and precious.
[+10 LOVE: VYRA ASHENBLADE 21/10 → 31/10]
Rick saw the notification even though he was exhausted and confused. Ten out of thirty-one? The system was clearly broken, or love could go beyond its limits in very rare cases.
He put that away to ask Sebastian later if he lived long enough to have one. "I’ll just ignore that for a second... and it seems like I just rizz the wrong demon milf, but it’s still worth it for me because I’m actually interested in her..."
The tide of the battle had completely changed. What had been a desperate fight to defend turned into a one-sided slaughter.
The corruption horde started to pull back when they saw how strong the Demon King and the demon army were, but Zork wouldn’t let them get away. "ARCHERS!"
"CUT OFF THEIR RETREAT!" he yelled, and his voice carried across the battlefield with an authority that made everyone obey.
Lieutenant Kessa’s battalion acted right away, firing arrows to stop the corrupted creatures from getting away. The enemies who were running away were stuck between the demon army’s attack and the deadly accuracy of the archers.
"RELEASE THE HELL BARRIERS ON THE PERIMETER! BURN AWAY THE CORRUPTION!"
War Sorcerer Thera and the other mages started casting complicated spells that made walls of flaming hellfire that burned up any evil that touched them. As the cleansing energy melted away the corrupted creatures trapped in these barriers, they screamed in agony.
In less than an hour, the fight came to an end. The wave of corruption that had threatened to destroy the demon camp was now in ruins.
Thousands of corrupted creatures were killed, and their bodies were already starting to turn to ash as the corruption lost its grip without a central source to keep it going.
Demon warriors stood among the dead, worn out but happy that they had won. Thanks to the Demon King’s help, there weren’t many casualties.
What could have been a terrible loss turned out to be a clear win.
Zork stood in the middle of the battlefield, and even after a long fight, he wasn’t even breathing hard. He looked at his army with something like pride in his old eyes.
"DEMON WARRIORS!" he shouted, and everyone stopped what they were doing to listen.
"Today you faced corruption itself and held the line!"
"You protected your home, your families, your future!"
"This victory is YOURS!"
The army yelled back, holding their weapons high, but Zork raised his hand to ask for silence, and the noise stopped almost right away.
"But we cannot forget that this battle was only possible because one human showed us what true courage looks like." Zork turned to look at Rick, who was still being held by the demon soldier.
"Bring the human here."
