Leveling Up by Seducing Milfs-Chapter 40. The Day of Reckoning
That morning, Rick woke up with a knot in his stomach that had nothing to do with being hungry. It had been six days since the dragon attack, and today was the day Sylvia said she would come back.
He looked up at the ceiling of his room in the guild hall and saw dust particles floating through the morning light. His mind was racing with disappointments because he hadn’t received any pleasure from Liora, who didn’t do anything except pamper him in a wholesome way.
"She didn’t give any blowjobs again... please... please don’t tell me that’s going to be my last time..." Rick said with a sad tone that he slowly starts to give up on his own life.
"You fucking gooner, stop acting all dramatic and focus on your goal as the hero!" Sebastian’s frustrated voice broke through his thoughts.
Rick giggled, "I’m just joking, chillax. So far I’m enjoying life because all my partners keep giving me the love and care I wanted."
"We can’t rush things like that because it felt unnatural, you know what I mean?"
"Nobody wanted to see sex for the whole five Chapters—"
"Okay, you can shut the fuck up now." Sebastian punched his face so that Rick would pipe down.
"Aw! What the fuck!" Rick caresses his own face.
"Isn’t today the day?" The little butler came to the windowsill and looked very serious. "According to her statement, the Dragon Queen will arrive at noon, with her humanoid body probably..."
Rick got up and rubbed his face. "Yeah... I’ve been thinking about it all week."
"Okay... then you might have been smart enough to get ready mentally." Sebastian made changes to his monocle. "Because I have something important to tell you about how dragons court each other, and you probably won’t fucking like it if you’re into some harem shit."
"That last word you said... my gooner sense can feel it wrong."
"That’s because it is." Sebastian floated over and sat on the bedpost. "Do you remember me telling you that the brave things you did during the battle were like how dragons court each other?"
"Yeah. What about it?"
"That’s not all there is to it! Dragon courtship is not like human courtship!"
"It’s not about poems and flowers. It’s about showing who is in charge, claiming territory, and having possessive instincts that have been around for millions of years!" 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Rick’s stomach dropped. "Now hold on a minute... this isn’t some kind of yandere bullshit thing, is it?"
"How possessive are we talking?"
"Rick, dragons mate for life. Dragons don’t share easily when they want someone! They claim! They possess!"
"They fight tooth and nail to protect what’s theirs." Sebastian’s face got darker. "And Sylvia is a Dragon Queen, so those instincts are a hundred times stronger."
"She doesn’t just care about you..."
"She thinks you wooed her by dragon law, which means she probably thinks you already have her."
"Shit." Rick ran his fingers through his hair. "What does that mean for Liora, Natasha, and Carmilla?"
"It means we’re about to see how a thousand-year-old dragon reacts when she finds out that her claimed mate has three other lovers." Sebastian’s mustache moved. "I think you should get ready for the worst and hope for the best."
"Dragons have been known to destroy whole kingdoms because they thought someone insulted their pride."
"That’s not fucking helping my nerves at all right now."
"Well, no shit. You should be scared. This could be the most dangerous social situation you’ve ever been in, and you beat an Ancient Black Dragon with less risk than what you’re about to face."
Rick got dressed in a daze, his head full of the worst things that could happen. He could feel Carmilla and Natasha through the Spirit Bonds.
They were both awake and on edge. They knew something was going to happen, and the bonds were full of protective energy and barely held back worry.
He saw them both waiting for him in the common room on the first floor. Carmilla was fully armored, with her hand on the hilt of her sword. Natasha’s staff was leaning against the wall next to her. The frost patterns on its surface were already starting to form from her angry magic.
Rick said quietly, "You’re expecting trouble."
Carmilla nodded. "We can feel your worry through the bond."
"It’s been getting worse all morning, and we are concerned about you feeling all these negative emotions."
"The Dragon Queen comes today." Rick sat down in front of them. "Sebastian just told me about how dragons court each other."
"It seems that what I did during the battle wasn’t just impressive to her. What I did was basically ask someone to marry me in dragon culture."
Natasha’s face didn’t change, but Rick felt a sudden surge of fear through their bond. "Dragons don’t let other dragons have their mates."
"No, they don’t."
"Well, this should be interesting." Carmilla’s grip on her sword got tighter. "What are you going to do about it...?"
"I’ll talk to her and try to tell her the truth, just like I do with everyone else."
"I tell her the truth about what’s going on with me and hope she is smart enough to get it." Rick looked into both of their eyes. "But you both have to promise me that you’ll stay back if things go wrong."
"Don’t ever pick a fight with her or even challenge her! And of course, try not to debate her as well because it could get worse. A Dragon Queen could kill all of us without breaking a sweat."
"Like hell we’re staying back if she threatens you," Carmilla said right away.
"She won’t scare me. Please keep in mind that she’s interested in me, but she might see you two as enemies or problems." Rick reached out and grabbed both of their hands. "Please... let me take care of this... the bond will let you know if I need help."
Natasha was quiet for a moment, then she nodded, though not with much enthusiasm. "Okay. But regardless of what you want, if I think you’re in real danger, I’ll step in right away."
"Same here," Carmilla said.
"I appreciate that a lot..."
...
The morning went by very slowly, which was painful. Rick helped with more rebuilding work, but he didn’t want to.
He kept looking up at the sky, waiting for the giant shape of a dragon to show up on the horizon. People in the capital also seemed to feel the tension. Some people were talking about the Dragon Queen coming back today, and the streets were full of nervous energy.
Around mid-morning, Liora came across him, her usual calm expression tinged with concern. "I can tell you’re scared."
"Liora..." Rick showed a smile when she came.
Liora gave a quick peck on his cheek to make him feel relaxed. "I know you can do it..."
"Thanks, Liora..."
