323 Dance

Amelia's eyes sparkled with mischief as she confronted Rebecca about her day. "So you just played around all day long?"

Rebecca responded, "Yupp."

"And you didn't think it was necessary enough to call me even once huh, what a selfish friend." Amelia said with a pouting face, complaining to Rebecca.

"I mean_ I did try to look for you, but you weren't there." Rebecca said in her defense.

Well she didn't lie, she did look for Amy and others, but only so she could turn around and walk in the opposite direction if she noticed them.

"Where did Rio leave off to?" Ayla asked as she noticed while they were all talking and taking a tour of the castle, Rio had slipped somewhere. freewe(b)novel.com

Rebecca sneered as if it was expected, while Amy just smiled and said "Oh I_ caused a little bit of ruckus outside today, so he probably wanted to see if it was too much."

Rebecca looked at her in surprise and noticing she was serious, she asked "What did you do?"

"N_nothing, I just got into a little fight, that's all."

"And you didn't hurt them or beat them half to dead?" Rebecca asked doubtfully, she knew all well of her friend's anger. She's literally chaos incarnate when she's angry just like the goddess who chose her.

"No, they're fine. Some staff saw the commotion and stopped it." Amelia replied, not telling they were actually 3 class years above her, and she couldn't beat them even if she wanted to. Not unless she showed all her skills and used all her artifacts.

<Why did she still went to fight them, well she just saw them laughing and living happily a few days ago, and it ticked her off about how her brother had to suffer while they just enjoyed their time in this safe academy. So she found a few weaker target and a place where they couldn't use mana freely and a time when they're tired and least expect anything. But sadly just after a few fun punches, that idiot staff came and stopped the fight.>

'Now that I think, that guy is the one who told my brother probably. Stupid professor.' Amelia cursed the staff and remembered his face to pay attention next time she does something like this.

'How did he know it was me behind the mask anyway.' She thought suddenly remembering she clearly had a mask that covered her face and disrupted any identification.

"What're you zoning off about?" Rebecca asked and Amelia just shrugged her shoulder and pushed her thoughts aside for now.

"Let's go, the dance is starting now." Ayla said bringing both girl's focus at the open space in the hall below, where shinning lights illuminated everything, a soothing music was playing in the background, as one by one students walked up and started dancing on the stage, some with their friends, some with their partners. Surprisingly in just one month of academy time, there've been quite a lot of couples formed already.

"Princess Rebecca, can I have a dance with you?" Another boy came up to Becca asking her hand for a dance.

But got the same polite answer as what she gave the last dozen or so students. "I'm not feeling well."

The young man looked at Amelia for a second and she just shook her head before he even opened his mouth, and he could just turn around and leave feeling embarrassed.

"Where did that idiot run off too." Rebecca asked, looking around the hall and dancing couples with a sour mood.

"Looking for me." Someone said, tapping her shoulder.

"For the last time I don't want to dance for God_." Rebecca said annoyingly as she turned around, only to stop midway as she realized it was him.

"Wow, well if you don't want to then I won't ask, jeez. Just look at her attitude." Rio playfully said to princess, and pulled Amelia away, before she even came back to her senses.

"Sorry princess, but brother's busy." Amelia too, playfully teased before walking along Rio towards the stage.

"Where did you go?" She asked as they both just stood close and started moving on the rhythm of the music.

"Just handling your mess." He replied, as he grabbed her hand and moved away, before pulling back in.

"Did you_kill them?" Amelia asked with some hesitation, making sure no one heard her whisper in the loud music.

"Not for now, but it will be settled. Don't worry." Rio said. "Don't use Gauri's chaotic blessings openly in the academy again."

"You still haven't told me why?" She asked hearing the same advice he's given her multiple times now.

"Just know that it'll attract some attention that's best not suited for my plans." Rio said, not clarifying about how the church of Kali and a mid level boss villain had been looking for a suitable sacrifice to finish their plans, and Amelia is the one they ends up choosing in the novel.

"Is their some enemy of hers in the academy? She asked talking about her goddess.

"Not an enemy, but a blind follower who thinks he's the only one worthy to be her champion." Rio said and added "I'll handle it soon, in the meantime, you just focus on getting stronger and mastering her skills as soon as possible." Rio said leading her to the center of stage as a light fell on their dancing figurea before moving away.

"The drama you said haven't started yet, it's getting boring." Amelia said after nodding her head for his previous suggestion.

"Be patient." He said as he stopped since the music ended and a new melody started to play.

"By the way, Becca looked quite happy with the star and the gifts you got her." She said changing the topic to something else.

A small chuckle came to his lips hearing that as he replied. "Did she?"

"Of course, she wouldn't stop showing off, if I didn't threaten to steal them away." Amelia teased with a smile.

"If you're done badmouthing me, can you stop now."

A voice broke their happy conversation, but causing both of them to laugh as they realised who it belonged too.

"Woah, see brother, she followed me here like a ghost too." Amelia said looking over her shoulder as she saw Ayla and Rebecca behind her.

Poor Ayla, who didn't know anything had her face burn red in shame as the princess pulled her to a dance all of a sudden, making her the center of attention. While Rebecca just ignored her partner's failing moves and glared at the pair of siblings with her big blue eyes.

As the beat of the music shifted to a new tone, she left Ayla's hands and pushed Amy away, before taking her place in front of Rio.

Poor Amy just gave her an angry glance before taking Ayla away, to save her from more embarrassment. She was probably the one of the very few who didn't even know D of the dance.

"I think you said you didn't want a dance." Rio said, as he placed her hand on her waist and another on her shoulder.

"And_" Rebecca said, glaring at him as if to dare him if he can finish that sentence. fr(e)ewebn(o)vel

"Nothing, just saying." Rio said barely controlling the urge to laugh at her antics.

Rebecca just humphed in response and pinched him on the neck, causing him to wince in the sudden pain.

"You broke your promise." She said, looking at his face.

"Which one?" he asked, not sure what this girl wanted now.

"When you said you'll follow me for all day today." She replied.

"And_"

"I'm generous so I'll forgive you if you accompany me tomorrow too." She added as she rolled her body in a circle.

"Isn't that too big a punishment, I was just gone for 5 minutes." He replied.

"And I had to deal with 20 boys in that period who came up and asked for a dance." she said and added "If anything, I'm being generous. And what do you mean punishment, it's a reward half the academy would die for okay."

"Is that so?" Rio said with a smirk "Well, since it's an order from your royal highness, this noble heir shall oblige."

Rebecca gave a charming smile as she heard his response, causing the students around her to forget their partners and just look at her momentarily.

"You look pretty when you smile." Rio said as he raised his hand to fix her hair behind her ear.

She really did look perfect, especially as the light from the party illuminated her face even more.

Hearing the sudden compliment and feeling the heat near her ear, Rebecca froze for a second, missing her step and bumping into the girl behind her.

Giving Rio a glaring eye, she turned back to apologize, but found it was another princess, the elven one to be precise.

"Sorry, it's his fault." She said and turned back to grab his hand and walking away, not in the mood for any more dance, lest this guy says something like that again, causing her to make a fool of herself.

While Saisha, who just came to the party some time ago and was dancing with Jaesin who asked for her hand, halted her movements and kept looking at their leaving back, feeling a little uncomfortable.

She was wondering what she was feeling or why, when a sudden loud shout broke her thoughts, and everyone else's too.

"Ahhhhhhhh"

"You _ what are you doing!!!! Let go of me. Let go… .."

The screaming voice belonged to a girl, and it sounded like she was_ being forced.

The music had just stopped all of a sudden as if on cue and everyone could hear it too now, 'Is this what he meant, when he said a big drama.' Amelia wandered and looked at her brother's direction, and noticed his face with a smirk.
