John chose to not buy the swordsmanship skill on the system shop because it is a waste of tokens in his thought. Also he reasoned that he is still young and should move around his body more to not become like those modern kids who know nothing but laze around inside their home and will early because of health problems.

"But luckily, this intelligence stat is actually a great help in keeping my focus, huh."

What John is talking about is the thing that he discovered about the intelligence stats. The stat is just for the mana, but also equal to the capability of his brain. Meaning that if he keeps increasing that Int stat it will make his brain more capable like giving him some kind of ability, like now. The ability that the Int stat gives currently is the ability to focus on anything.

It is a great help in many sorts of ways. An example is in studying. Sometimes we can’t study because it is noisy around us or there are many distractions that surround you. With the use of the focus, you can just not care about those things as you are focused to the max on doing your study. Ain’t that great

John hopes to discover more abilities that he can use in the future because of this.

He walked with his exhausted body back inside the house and went to the kitchen to grab a water.
