Lord of Myths: I Can Summon and Fuse Divine Powers.-Chapter 32: Battle in The Secret Laboratory. (4)
The priest’s body bounced over and over against the ground, with gigantic force.
The latter had created an armor of crystallized keter, however the protection built with silver and gold mosaics was cracking.
In fact, it already had some places where the structure had shattered. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
[Emet] had no mercy whatsoever, hitting the priest relentlessly, in fact, it seemed to be accelerating.
The armor wouldn’t hold much longer, however as the saying goes: the best defense is a good offense.
With difficulty, the priest managed to summon a keter projectile that shot from his finger toward the golem’s shoulder.
The projectile managed to successfully pierce through the dense rock of the golem’s arm, and inside, it expanded until it burst, shattering the arm to pieces.
Consequently, the priest went flying with the force of the golem’s movement, though it created a keter wall to slow its acceleration.
"Damn brat, I should have taken care of killing you myself when I had the chance," the old man shouted with hatred.
Alioth just laughed, while a series of thermal spirits and wind spirits pulsed in the palm of his hand.
"So you remember me, huh? Yeah, you should have, now you’ll pay the consequences of your incompetence," the boy mocked, as he clenched his fist tightly. "Ifrit!"
Upon pronouncing those words, a sea of fire and flames came from his hand, which shot toward the old man.
He used the wall he had recently created as a shield, however, the flames concentrated on one point, becoming a hand with sharp claws and red skin.
The spirit’s hand pierced through the fire wall, grabbing the priest by the neck.
The heat pierced through his orgone, burning his neck, making him scream in pain.
"Aaaaarg! Damn heretic, how dare you use those demonic arts on me!?" the man exclaimed in pain, as he materialized a dagger made of silver and gold mosaic in his hand.
Alioth snorted, amused.
He had seen how a child had turned into an abomination because of that guy’s invention, who was now accusing him of being a heretic.
It was ironic and hypocritical on the priest’s part, though that seemed to be his nature.
However, if Alioth remembered his history, he surely would have questioned whether the Ifrit were demonic beings.
They were born from Allah’s own breath, they were very powerful jinn, however, they sinned through arrogance by believing themselves superior to humans.
That earned them their banishment from the heavens.
Though they could do both bad and good actions, so they were more similar to humans than to demons.
"Die!" the priest said, as he tried to stab Ifrit with his dagger.
However, again, his arm was stopped by Abzu.
"Damn piece of shit!" the priest cursed with difficulty, since his neck was burning.
Alioth grabbed electricity spirits with his hand, surely artificially created in the laboratory, while using another of the many mythological names he knew.
"Raiju!" he said forcefully, slightly angry because the priest had insulted his friend.
Blue sparks came from his hand, sparks that formed a current of lightning, expelled in the form of a wolf.
Raiju was the dog of the Japanese god Raijin. A Yokai in the form of a wolf that emanated lightning.
The lightning in the form of a wolf opened its jaws as it headed toward the priest’s hand and bit his hand.
The power of the electricity was such that his arm exploded from the bone.
"AAAAAAAAA!" the priest screamed as he saw his limb explode.
It was a broken scream of pain, worthy of the pain he was feeling.
The smell of burnt flesh traveled to Alioth’s nose, it was unpleasant, but seeing the priest scream like that made up for it.
"How does that pain feel? You who have hurt so many people, you deserve to know what it is to suffer," Alioth then said, with a more serious tone than usual, he was no longer trying to make the priest lose his cool, those words were sincere and genuine.
Alioth had turned the vile experiments the priest had done into weapons so he would receive the karma he had accumulated so much of.
It was poetic justice.
"Y-you... damn," the priest complained, with barely a voice to speak.
The skin on his neck was burned in such a way that he could barely speak.
Alioth only felt more satisfied with that reaction.
Then, in an instant, [Emet], who had already repaired its arm, struck the old man with impressive speed and force.
Alioth heard the priest’s bones crunching as he was sent flying at great speed, going through several shelves on his journey.
The offensive didn’t stop there, Alioth had learned from his mistakes, he wouldn’t let the priest breathe.
Ifrit launched a sea of flames, which merged with Raiju’s lightning.
The priest could only scream as his body began to char.
"Last words, insect," Alioth said, with a voice so cold that he didn’t even recognize himself.
Was he really going to kill him?
Was he going to cross that line?
However, among the flames, the priest didn’t respond with wailing or pleas, but with a sinister smile that seemed almost unreal.
Alioth felt his blood run cold.
"You’ve reached your limit, haven’t you?" the priest then said, with an ominous voice.
Why was the voice of someone about to die so chilling?
"What? What are you saying?" Alioth wondered.
He didn’t feel tired or anything like that, he could definitely keep turning spirits into mythological figures for a good while.
However, the priest didn’t seem to be referring to that.
"Yes, I suppose that’s all you can offer me for now..." he then said.
Alioth felt a chill run down his spine.
That voice was coming from behind him.
In a blink, the priest had disappeared from among the flames.
"I suppose I’ll have to push you a little..."
Alioth slowly turned his head. His heart was pounding hard in his chest.
The situation had suddenly taken a turn, his confidence had completely vanished.
"Huh?"
But when his eyes finally observed what was behind him, time seemed to stop.
What had happened to Abzu?
