Love Command: Darling, Do You Yield?-Chapter 165: 5 Billion Breakup Fee
She gently bit her lip, pulling her hand away from Brandan Hyde’s grasp.
Brandan looked at her actions, sighed softly, raised his hand to touch her hair, and then said, "You’re still unwell, take a good rest. I’m heading back."
Iris Harris didn’t utter a word. It was only after Brandan left the ward that she raised her hand to slowly smooth over the place he had just touched.
No matter how cold-hearted he was, the warmth in his palm remained.
She sat there alone, silently chuckling.
What’s the point now?
Obviously, it’s already too late...
If he had only been slightly more gentle with her before, she wouldn’t have given up so completely.

"Brandan!"
At the doorway, Viola Harris saw Brandan Hyde coming out from inside and called to him softly.
Brandan’s eyebrows furrowed instantly when he saw her.
"Why are you still here?"
The blatant impatience in his eyes seemed to pierce her heart ruthlessly.
"You suddenly broke up with me, and I won’t accept it!"
Viola said passionately.
"Don’t accept it?" Brandan glanced at her, "The five billion breakup fee, your mother accepted it."
"Brandan, how can you say something like that..."
Brandan lowered his eyes and turned away indifferently.
He lit a cigarette, gazing out the window.
"You saved me five years ago, and indeed, I’m very grateful to you." Brandan’s tone was calm and indifferent, "But that’s not love, it’s just gratitude." His realization came too late, and Brandan took a harsh drag of his cigarette, "The breakup fee has been given to you, and you’ve accepted it, please don’t bother me anymore."
Viola looked at him in disbelief. The man in front of her, as always, had a handsome face, standing casually by the window, was an eye-catching presence.
However, the tenderness in his eyes for her had completely vanished.
She knew it, too... Brandan was with her simply because she "saved" him five years ago, but in these five years, he never truly warmed to her...
Viola’s self-esteem couldn’t bear it.
"Brandan..." Viola began to cry, "But I love you..."
"Then, are you going to return the breakup fee to me?"
"This..." Viola hesitated, explaining awkwardly, "The company recently ran into some issues, and the money you gave has already been used up..."
Brandan turned his head to look at her, his eyes filled with faint sarcasm.
How did he not see before that Viola Harris was so cunning?
Agreeing to the breakup and taking the money one moment, then coming over to profess love the next.
Brandan extinguished the cigarette butt and looked at Viola indifferently: "Since that’s the case, please stop entangling yourself with me. I don’t want her to misunderstand!"
Her?
Iris Harris?
Viola was incredulous: "You... have truly fallen for her?!"
"..."
Brandan unexpectedly fell silent.
After a long pause, he finally said softly, "Perhaps, I’ve been in love with her longer than I imagined."
He was just too proud, too arrogant, thinking that person would pamper him forever, until now, it’s beyond repair.
Viola’s face gradually turned pale, and she asked frantically, "And what about me? What do my five years mean?"
Brandan looked at her: "I’m sorry."
His expression and tone remained very calm.
This cold-hearted, unfeeling man...
She once loved him for this uniqueness, but now, it was his turn to break her heart.
