Love Command: Darling, Do You Yield?-Chapter 93 - 94: Ransom 1
Chapter 93: Chapter 94: Ransom 1
When their car arrived at the mountain, Viola Harris’s parents had already stationed their people there.
Two bodyguards were holding four large boxes in their hands, which contained the billion dollars.
Iris Harris got out of the car and saw that Mr. Harris’s face was extremely pale, as if he had aged ten years overnight, with even his hair turning somewhat gray.
For many years, Mr. Harris had not been particularly warm to her, you could even say he was cold. Ever since Viola was born, he had completely shifted his affections to his biological daughter.
However, Iris would always remember that it was Mr. Harris who personally took her from the orphanage, holding her hand and telling her that she now had a family...
Thinking of this, Iris let out a slight sigh. The vicissitudes of life, who could have imagined that Mrs. Harris would become pregnant with Viola the very next year.
"Dad, don’t worry, Viola will be brought back safely."
Iris walked over to comfort him.
Mr. Harris looked up, his eyes red as well. It seemed he hadn’t slept all night.
He saw her, hesitated a moment, then nodded slightly.
Over there, Mrs. Harris was already preparing to head into the mountains. Compared to Mr. Harris’s fatigue, she appeared noticeably calmer, "Everyone, follow along. We must arrive there before nine o’clock; we can’t be late!"
The group began to move.
Iris followed behind Brandan Hyde, heading into the deep mountains. In the early morning, the kidnappers had already sent them the address, demanding they arrive at the designated place by nine o’clock; money and the person would be exchanged simultaneously.
After walking for five hours, Iris felt the road ahead open up, the trees gradually becoming sparse. Soon, a clearing the size of half a football field appeared in front of them.
"Viola!"
Mrs. Harris suddenly screamed.
Iris froze, instinctively looking up to see Viola Harris tied to a giant tree in the distance with an iron chain. She was still wearing the blue dress from yesterday, though now it was stained with dirt, and her long hair was in complete disarray.
Her head hung slightly, as if she had passed out. Upon seeing his daughter, Mr. Harris—usually a stern man—broke down in tears, his voice trembling as he called out, "Viola!"
At their shout, a group of people emerged from behind the giant tree, each wearing a mask, tall and burly, dressed in matching suits. They walked up to Viola, one of them taking a bottle of mineral water and splashing it on her face.
A faint moan was heard, and Viola finally groggily woke up. She lifted her bleary eyes to look around, and upon seeing her parents, her gaze brightened. In a hoarse voice, she cried out, "Mom, Dad, save me!"
"Viola, don’t be afraid. Daddy will come to rescue you now." Seeing his beloved daughter being mistreated like this, Mr. Harris was heartbroken. He wiped his tears and said to the group, "I’ve brought the money. Release Viola now!"
A tall man wearing a black mask stepped forward, intentionally lowering his voice: "We need to check it first!"
At this moment, Mrs. Harris walked up, standing in front of them, saying to the group, "You can check, but you have to release Viola first!"
"..."
The man paused for a moment, then waved his hand, signaling to have Viola released from the tree.
