Love Letter From The Future-Chapter 342: Bread and Dagger (40)
Chapter 342: Bread and Dagger (40)
Senior Elsie let out an unexpectedly cute scream on the bed.
It was clear that, at her core, she was essentially a girl. Her eyes widened as she lay beneath me.
She shouldn’t have been hurt due to the soft bed, but there was nothing she could do about her ragged breath. Fear and anticipation mingled, the conflicting emotions visible in her wide open eyes.
I whispered to her with a slight smile.
“...Looks like you’ve been pounced on.”
“A-Ah... Hiiiikk?!“
Even at my teasing question, Senior Elsie couldn’t answer right away. She then let out a faint squeal as my lips subtly moved towards her neck.
All I had done was plant a kiss there.
My intentions were pure. It was a spot where she’d shown an especially good reaction when I had stroked her chin before.
A spot perfect for teasing her.
But her reaction was beyond what I expected.
After letting out a tiny yelp, she let out a soft moan and rubbed her thighs together. Her now increasingly heated breaths were mixed with sweet whimpers.
She whimpered tearfully.
“W-Wait... That tickles... Hnnngh?!”
Smooch! Of course, her resistance vanished the moment I pressed my lips against her neck again.
As if unable to decide how to feel, her expression now teetered between tears and laughter.
In the end, I was the one who couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing.
“Pfft, hahaha! Senior Elsie, what’s with you? You get all scared when I actually say I’ll pounce on you.”
Her sapphire eyes, brimming with tears, glared at me with an expression full of reproach.
The sharp look she shot my way seemed to say she was genuinely angry with me.
But even that expression was so adorable that it only made me laugh harder.
I honestly didn’t really intend to pounce on her.
As she said, she hadn’t even showered yet and she was drunk. This was different from the situation with Senior Delphine before.
Senior Delphine just wanted to erase all her worries.
But Senior Elsie was different.
If Senior Elsie and I were to cross that line, it needed to be the culmination of love—not something impulsively decided in this freezing wilderness.
I don’t know much, but I’ve heard that women have fantasies about their first time.
That fantasy, at the very least, wouldn’t involve a spur-of-the-moment encounter in a tent.
Even if the future was uncertain, I wanted to give nothing but good memories to Senior Elsie.
Of course, no matter the reasoning, Senior Elsie still seemed frustrated..
“Y-You jerk...”
She exhaled, then inhaled and then suddenly burst out shouting.
“H-How dare you toy with a maiden’s pure heart?! You really scared me!”
“But isn’t it less scary than waking up to find your hands tied?”
At my perfectly reasonable argument, Senior Elsie clamped her mouth shut.
But her ragged breaths still expressed her dissatisfaction. In the end, I had to hug her to calm her down.
It was kind of funny.
A guy and a girl lying on a bed, hugging each other, and yet nothing was happening.
But it wasn’t so bad.
Despite her sharp tongue, she couldn’t resist physically.
It even gave me a strange sense of guilty pleasure.
At first, Senior Elsie seemed furious, but she gradually quieted down.
Her flushed cheeks and the way she buried her face into my chest said as much.
Even so, her words were still harsh.
Though, perhaps out of some sense of decorum, she had become slightly more polite.
“Y-You’re really mean... So, in the end, you don’t even see me as a woman, do you?”
What does she want me to do?
She gets scared when I try to pounce on her, but feels disappointed when I don’t.
I recalled Leto’s old saying once more.
Don’t try to understand women. Just accept them.
I thought he was being ridiculous back then, as if women were natural disasters or something. But having now experienced it myself, I understood how he felt, so I decided to follow my dear friend’s advice.
“If that were the case, I would’ve rejected your confession right away... And I was in a bit of danger myself.”
At my soothing tone, she shot me a sullen glare.
Regardless, I continued.
“Senior Elsie, you sat on me at first, remember? And back then, when you kept, uh, pressing down like that...”
“What are you talking about?”
Looking genuinely confused, she tilted her head and asked back.
Did she really not know?
She could be surprisingly oblivious at times.
That’s probably why she gets teased for losing to a junior who’s a year younger and, well, wetting herself.
But I couldn’t bring myself to spell it out for her outright.
I just cleared my throat and trailed off.
“Well, you know...the part that touched me when you sat on me...”
“...Ah.”
With a small gasp, her face flushed red again.
She tried to hide her butt by putting her hands behind her, awkwardly covering it. Not that it mattered, since we were hugging face-to-face and I couldn’t see it anyway.
Stammering, she unconvincingly tried to bluff her way out.
“S-So? D-Did you like it or something?!”

“Yeah, I did.”
It was, of course,a futile effort on her part.
She blushed even more at my shameless responseSeeing her reaction, I couldn’t help but chuckle, which only made her look at me with a resentful gaze.
She seemed frustrated that she couldn’t seize the upper hand.
In the end, in her irritation, she blurted out something odd.
“Then prove it!”
“Sorry? Prove what, exactly?”
If I said I liked it, I liked it—what was there to prove?
Even my baffled response didn’t make Senior Elsie stop her antics. She pushed away my arms that were wrapped around her and turned over onto her stomach.
Then she stuck her hips out backwards.
It was obvious what she was aiming for.
It was my groin.
I was once again flustered by the soft sensation pressing against me.
“I told you, I liked it! Why would I lie to you?”
“Th-Then prove it! Guys like this kind of stuff, don’t they?”
Senior Elsie wiggled her hips, rubbing them against my clothes.
Even though there were two layers of fabric between us, the sensation wasn’t completely dampened. Above all, her scent was way too close.
The final blow came from her breathing.
Senior Elsie’s hips, which had been pressing and rubbing against me, suddenly twitched and jerked upward.
“...Hnnn.“
And then a soft, breathy exhale escaped her lips.
Her eyes, which gazed at me with a hint of surprise, appeared almost pitiful. It might be an unusual inclination, but to me, the sound of her breath in that moment felt even more alluring.
The change was immediate.
Senior Elsie, who had been demanding ‘proof,’ suddenly noticed the difference.
“Huh?”
For me, it was a deeply mortifying situation.
I let out a sigh and covered my face with both hands. The few words I managed to squeeze out were brief.
“...Satisfied now?”
She looked at me with a puzzled expression.
To her, it probably just felt like a hot, firm rod slipped between her buttocks. She seemed like she had yet to realize what it actually was.
With a confused look, her fumbling hand brushed over my groin.
And after a moment.
“U-Uhhhh...?“
With a face as red as a beet, she could only utter incoherent sounds.
“B-By any chance, did you go to the tent beforehand? Why is there a double-headed serpent here...?”
“What tent? And what’s a double-headed serpent?”
At my irritated question, Senior Elsie tilted her head in confusion.
“I-It was kind of strange? A creature that should only exist in the Southern Great Forest was in the North, so I found it odd and brought it back...”
What on earth is she talking about?
The Southern Great Forest and the North are worlds apart in terms of environment. There was no way a creature that lived there could naturally appear here.
If that were the case, there was only one possibility.
Someone deliberately brought the double-headed serpent to the North.
But for someone to bring it from the Southern Great Forest all the way to the northernmost coniferous forests—what reason would they have?
I couldn’t think of any.
Unless they were driven out.
Yes, those who were expelled from the Southern Great Forest.
As soon as I connected the dots, I shouted in alarm.
“Wait, you should have told me that first!”
I immediately stood up and headed toward the tent where the double-headed serpent was kept.
I also intended to interrogate the elves while I was at it.
Senior Elsie trailed behind me, her face as red as a beet.
With a flushed face, she kept measuring from her belly button down with her hands.
After that, she became unusually quiet.
“M-Master.”
Before I knew it, that old title made a comeback. I paused mid-step and glanced back.
My gaze was a bit annoyed, but Senior Elsie didn’t seem to care at all.
“Even though I’m lacking, I’ll do my best...”
What is she talking about?
I shook my head and picked up the pace.
Regardless, behind me, Senior Elsie kept measuring lengths with her hands.
All the while muttering things like, Wow... Wow...
***“It’s an offering brought by Lord Leoric.”
In the dark of night, inside the tent lit by a single lamp, this was the testimony I obtained.
It was from the elf woman I fought earlier. She resisted me with her unique archery, capable of manipulating wind, but in the end, she was defeated.
I think her name was ‘Venetta.’
The moment I heard that unfamiliar name from her lips, I instinctively realized.
So it’s him.
The one I have to kill.
The narrative at last found its target.
