Love You Till the End-Chapter 985 - 984: His Stomach Hurt from the Stiletto Heel
Since her mother passed away, she hadn’t shared a bed with anyone for years, of course, when she was conscious. But she didn’t even know she had those habits...
Imagining the scene Shi Aoju described, Su Jiuyi felt like dying of embarrassment.
Shi Aoju watched the ever-changing expressions on Su Jiuyi’s face and couldn’t help but burst into laughter, a slight curve forming at the corners of his mouth.
"What are you laughing at..." She looked at him with suspicion, then suddenly realized, "You’re lying, aren’t you!"
Seeing his smug expression, she stepped forward, but the wide skirt became an obstacle as she stepped on its hem and was forced to lurch forward.
"Hey!" Seeing her topple over directly, Shi Aoju reached out and caught her into his arms.
Feeling his warmth and heartbeat, Su Jiuyi’s face flushed even redder.
It’d be a lie to say Shi Aoju felt nothing for Su Jiuyi after so much physical contact, but he concealed his expression well, speaking calmly and unhurriedly, "Can’t you be a bit more careful?"
Although it was a complaint, his tone was filled with gentleness and concern, making Su Jiuyi a bit dazed, further advancing their already ambiguous relationship.
She quickly straightened up and adjusted her posture, then gathered up the troublesome hem of her skirt.
When the person in his arms suddenly stood up, Shi Aoju’s hands were left awkwardly placed, so he coughed to mask the embarrassing atmosphere before tucking his hands into his suit pants pockets.
"Um..." Seeing he had no intention of speaking, Su Jiuyi tilted her head and tentatively said, "I’ll head back first, I still have work later."
Shi Aoju glanced at her and said indifferently, "Put your shoes on." He was referring to the high heels Su Jiuyi had been holding, which had been stuck between them when he held her, hurting his stomach with their heels.
Su Jiuyi was stunned for a second, then lifted her arm to look at the shoes in her hand, shook her head, and said, "It’s fine, I’ll just go back like this, um, I’ll be leaving now."
After saying that, Su Jiuyi turned around to leave but was promptly pulled back by Shi Aoju from behind.
Under her puzzled gaze, he grabbed a nearby chair and placed it in front of Su Jiuyi, gesturing to her with his eyes.
"What’s this..." she asked, bewildered.
Shi Aoju pursed his lips in speechlessness, pulling Su Jiuyi in front of him and, supporting her shoulders, forcibly sat her down, "Sit down."
Su Jiuyi hadn’t quite processed it, only to see Shi Aoju take the high heels from her hand, then kneel on one knee while lifting her foot by her ankle.
The action made Su Jiuyi’s heart race with a steady "thump thump."
But the shoes weren’t put on because Shi Aoju discovered the blisters on her soles and the sides of her feet.
"How did it get like this?" He furrowed his brows and looked up at her.
Su Jiuyi lowered her head, embarrassed, and explained, "I’m not really used to wearing high heels."
Shi Aoju sighed lightly, put down the shoes, and glanced around the room. Beside him was a shoe cabinet, which he opened to retrieve a pair of cotton slippers meant for winter.
"These will be more comfortable." He placed the slippers in front of Su Jiuyi and looked up at her.
Su Jiuyi was a bit dazed, feeling like Shi Aoju was acting unusually today, as if he’d taken the wrong medicine. She looked at the slippers on the floor, then back at him, and slowly said, "Are you okay..."
