Chapter 529: I am worse!

His words sounded sincere as always. Ayra didn’t see any reason to spitting lie here from him. His dark eyes held her puzzled state and when she came out of her trance, her hand reached to grab the glass of liquid from his grip.

After letting out a long sigh, she brought it between her lips and gulped down slowly. Although, it was looking disgusting at the beginning, the taste was much better than she expected. It was more like a flavour of hot chocolate with some bitterness into it. Her face turned grim a little after finishing her drink. It wasn’t that bad honestly.

Cedric’s eyes followed her throat movement and once he made sure that the liquid had passed down through her throat, the tight frown between his temples relaxed. His expression turned much easier than before and he used his knuckles to wipe her lips affectionately.

Ayra found it bit strange when he was being extra nice to her. His actions felt careful as if she was sick and he came here to take care of her all by himself. Keeping the unnecessary discussion aside, she demanded for an answer, stepping back from his touch that was lingering on her lips,

" Tell me, who was that girl?"

Cedric couldn’t help but chuckling darkly for a while. He had guessed it already that her stubborn ass wouldn’t stop until she had her answers. So he came well prepared, practiced his own written script for a long time before entering into her bedroom.

Cedric lazily walked into the other corner to drop the glass and replied calmly,

" A village girl! I need powers once I activate my demon side, Princess. So, It was mandatory to suck from her."

Ayra’s eyes narrowed deeply and she rambled her words out, hating to believe that her husband had killed someone without any proper reason,

" So you just killed her for your own selfish desire?"

Cedric halted between his task and turned himself slowly to approach her again. Under her accusing eyes, he blurted with a smirk,

" She offered herself voluntarily. That doesn’t count as my fault, can it be?"

In reality, he was stating the truth here. That girl accompanied Frenchies on her own. Even when she faced his demon, the greed in her eyes were obvious. Everyone wanted to become his queen on this earth.

Ayra had a hard time in finding any proper answers. This man was tricky with his words that she faced difficulties most of the time in responding. Exhaling, she muttered without meeting his gaze,

" I don’t appreciate it, your highness!"

" Neither do I!", Cedric blurted inching closer to her spot. Bringing one of his hand forward, he put a knuckle underneath her chin to raise her jaw, forcing her to meet his dark eyes. His smirk grew wider when he stressed his words out one by one,

" Did I accuse you when you disobeyed my order?"

Ayra’s face sank and she heard him continuing in a low, threatening voice,

" When I clearly told you to stay at palace, what made you think that you can go outside and look for me when I have activated my demon power?"

Ayra’s lips trembled together but she couldn’t blurt anything since it was her fault this time. Instead, she pulled her eyes down out of guilt and felt him gripping her chin with more force. She gasped softly and heard his cold tone,

" Everything happened last night is all your fault, Princess. I didn’t like that you were fucked by my demon. Tell me, why should I listen to you when you don’t listen to me?"

Ayra choked slightly, feeling the pressure of his grip getting tighter eventually. He was really angry this time or else he wouldn’t have acted like this ever to her. Ayra muttered pushing her eyes up at him,

"I..I was worried for you.."

Something melted behind his cold eyes and instantly, she felt him loosening his grip from her chin slowly. He appeared a bit taken back but that didn’t change his displeasure. Cedric only hoped that there was no offspring in her stomach from their passion of last night. The medicine that he gave her to drink trickily would prevent her from getting pregnant from their last night’s activities. It was best for her that she didn’t suspect anything. Not only that he made sure to tell Frenchies that the medicine must be very effective and could work within a short time. He couldn’t take the risk and he didn’t want Ayra to suffer like his mother who had to give her life for the sake of his living. He wasn’t willing for any loose but would Ayra forgive him if she learns the truth behind this medicine?

Cedric shook his head timidly, spatting through his gritted teeth,

" Don’t do this ever again! I do not want you to face my demon."

Ayra wanted to ask the reason but he was heading for the door already. His walk expressed how pissed of he was and it took everything for her to keep her mouth shut. Cedric paused grabbing the door knob and spoke in a firm voice without looking back at her,

" If you disobey my order again, this time, it isn’t my words but my chains will keep you caged inside this room. Don’t take my words casually! I am worse than you can even imagine."

With his words, he dissapared from her sight, leaving her stunned at her place. He meant those words definitely and he wasn’t joking this time. Ayra’s attention was broke away from his words within a while when her stomach begun to feel a little uncomfortable. Soon, it was paining slightly.

She gasped in pain and held her stomach. Her eyes following the glass which was left over the center table. She pressed her lips together painfully and couldn’t help but wandering with a frown.

Why was it aching badly as soon as she drank the medicine?
