Loved By a Vampire King-Chapter 531: The Queen’s Order

At the dawn time, Elizabeth proceeded to complete her mission since she promised Ayra. After making few mental conclusions that how she would be going going into the library and returning, she left her living room with a thumping heart. On her way to the third floor, Elizabeth smiled back awkwardly at everyone whoever met her on the way.

When she finally arrived at her chosen place, two big headed guards stopped her from going inside. Elizabeth used her casual tone, making sure that it resounded rational to the guards,

" I came on the queen’s order. She needs something from her brother. I will just wait for him here."

The guards looked unfazed with her explanation. They were highly alerted by Cedric that no one could enter except him and the new prince who came to live in the palace as a guest. One of the guard informed, bowing at her respectively,

" Miss, Prince Alexander isn’t here right away. Why don’t you wait outside? His highness doesn’t allow visitors in his library."

She knew it!

Elizabeth chewed her bottom lips hard and knew that this guards wouldn’t let her enter so easily. Letting out a scoff, she rumbled raising her head haughtily,

" So you have the guts to disobey the queen’s order? You fools think that his highness will appreciate it? Don’t you know that how important she is to him?"

The two guards had a troubled expression on their faces that brought a victorious smirk on Elizabeth’s face. She knew how to push the right button. Although, she was brought up in an average family, Elizabeth was a quite intelligent woman since her birth.

After pondering over their own decisions for a while, a guard finally moved from her path, opening the door of library for her. Elizabeth’s smile widened and she quickly rushed inside after giving them a small nearly unheard thanks. The metallic door closed with a thud behind and Elizabeth gasped finding how big the library was. She had a feeling that she was floating amidst the books of ocean.

But how on earth that she would find the dragon summoning book? Maybe, she could have asked Alexander but will he say her after she acted so rude with him the last time?

Pondering, Elizabeth gave up on her thoughts. Since she was already here, she should better search for the book no matter how long it takes. Pushing her other uncertain thoughts aside, Elizabeth dissapared into the line of shelves, taking a better look of every book to find the title starting with ’ Dragon’.

Meanwhile, Alexander had returned from his walk around the kingdom. He was getting bored and lonely here somehow as Elizabeth didn’t talk to him like before. She was adamant to hear a clear confession from his mouth but Alexander wasn’t willing to take that step. He knew that it might break Arthur entirely but the question was how long he could keep it secret from Arthur?

Alexander made his walk straight for the library. In this entire palace, he had only this two places two go like always the garden and library. During the time, he learnt a lot about this kingdom especially about dragons since it was an unfamiliar creatures for their lands.

Just when he intended to step inside the library, the guard notified him calmly, keeping his eyes down,

" Your Highness! Miss Elizabeth is waiting for you inside."

That made Alexander’s eyes widening a bit. Because she knew that Elizabeth wasn’t a girl to compromise so easily. Her character was well known to him. Even without meeting her, he could tell that there was obviously something behind her arrival here.

Alexander warned them a bit coldly,

" His majesty doesn’t allow anyone to come here. How can you just give her the permission?"

The guards seemed like they wanted to say something but Alexander had already dissapeared behind the door with a grim expression. Inside, Elizabeth was snooping inside the books as hurry as possible. She wanted to get out of here without being caught by Alexander. That man was pissed off at her. Who knew that what he would do to her?

Elizabeth huddled through the bundle of books until a bold line caught her eyes, written very specifically ’ The Dragon Call ’. Her heart instantly beeped in hope and she spared no time in grabbing the book for herself. Sighing, she jumped down from the little stairs to walk out of the library when a voice pulled over her attention back from the book,

" No wonder, you are here."

Alexander’s mechanic voice startled her and she turned around, hiding the book behind her. Her face plastered in worry and she sutured,

" You..when did you come.."

Alexander smirked cunningly and replied taking a glimpse of those discarded books,

" Long enough to see that you were messing up with books."

Elizabeth swallowed hard and smiled awkwardly before attempting to walk away,

" I..I was just curious.. Anyways, Princess called me before. I have to go.."

With her words, Elizabeth begun to head for the exit with her book hiding behind. When she believed that Alexander didn’t notice her book, she speeded up with her steps only to be halted when Alexander snatched the book from her book.

" What makes you think that I will let you off with this book?", Alexander questioned calmly, keeping his eyes glued at her back. Elizabeth’s face sank and she whipped back to explain hastily,

" I was just curious to learn. Give it back to me, brother Alex!"

Alexander smirked keeping the book high in the air and asked back with a dark chuckle,

" Give me a reason! Why should I give it to you?"

Elizabeth stopped jumping and went straight to the point with a grim expression,

" What do you want in exchange of that book? I want it for me!"

Alexander returned a smirk, appearing thoughtful as if he was deeply considering her proposal. After a short while, he mumbled bending down to her face,

" Maybe A Kiss!"
