Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 714: William And Lazarus Came Along
When they were enjoying their downtime, the room door was knocked. Aimee opened the door and found Thomas smiling broadly at her. The servant was no longer shirtless. Behind him were two grown-up men with quivering eyes looking left and right in wary.
"Your Majesty, I am bringing the guests you called."
"William? Lazarus? Can you just come in and not be cowards?" asked Ronan who turned toward the door.
William and Lazarus then pushed their way into Thomas’s back and Aimee automatically grabbed Thomas’ shoulder, which was about to fall forward. Thomas then accidentally hugged Aimee and held onto the girl’s body so his face didn’t hit the floor.
Lazarus, who saw that, immediately turned around and grabbed Thomas’ hand tightly.
"I may be a coward, but don’t test me by touching my girlfriend to your heart’s content," Lazarus threatened, making Thomas smile shyly.
"I’m sorry, Sir. Please, don’t misunderstand my intention. I just accidentally fell and Miss Aimee-"
"Miss Aimee!? You dare to call Aimee by her first name?"
Aimee didn’t want to make any fuss, so she pulled Lazarus’ hand away from Thomas.
"Lazarus, you misunderstood. I only helped Thomas who was about to fall. Thomas, you can come back. Sorry if this guy’s attitude made you uncomfortable."
Thomas just smiled and nodded. The man then left the room. Lazarus, who couldn’t accept it, wanted to chase after Thomas, but Aimee stopped him. William also immediately grabbed Lazarus by the collar and dragged the man to join him near the fireplace because it was quite cold outside.
They came out of the inn early in the morning to join the group that had camped in front of Princess Bertha’s residence. Because William and Lazarus had no money on them. Both of them planned to ask Ronan, but when they arrived, they found no one there.
William and Lazarus were seen arguing with the gatekeeper. The two of them had said they were part of the group that went inside, but the gatekeeper didn’t believe it. William and Lazarus, who didn’t bring anything, ended up sitting quietly outside the gate waiting for a miracle to happen.
"Why are you protecting that man so much? Don’t you see? He accidentally hugged Aimee. Kael! Don’t you feel annoyed that your little sister was touched by a random man like that!?" asked Lazarus in a slightly high tone.
Kael just let out a long sigh. Really... he missed the quiet and peaceful moments like a few moments ago before William who was now busy looking for alcoholic beverages, and Lazarus who kept opening his mouth to blabber nonsense.
Kale glanced at Aimee who didn’t seem to care. His sister had covered her ears because she knew telling Lazarus would be useless. At a time like this, Ronan would have spoken up.
"William, put down the bottles and sit quietly. Also, Lazarus, shut your mouth before my hands cover it in brute force." Ronan’s threat made the two of them stop.
"Ronan ... don’t be like that," Arielle said gently.
William almost ignored Ronan’s words because he felt Arielle would protect him until he saw the gaze of the king who was so sharp that it felt like piercing through his soul. It made William stop choosing the available drinks and sit quietly beside Lazarus who had already felt threatened by Ronan’s threat.
"I called both of you because I wanted to talk about something, not to see you making a fuss."
William and Lazarus nodded at once.
"William, after this, we will discuss the plan with Princess Zohra of Thebis."
"Princess Zohra of Thebis? Is she going to visit Northendell?" William asked while creasing his brows.
"No. Princess Zohra is already here. It’s a perfect coincidence, and I’ve already talked about what we’re going to plan for the future, more or less. That’s why I need your help to talk about it in detail after lunch. Also, Lazarus, I want you to accompany Princess Zohra who will return to Thebis, and then you can join us on the way to the harbour. Can you do it?"
"Yeah. I just need to escort her all the way back to the border and go back again, right?" Lazarus asked in confirmation.
"Correct. That is it. Kael will be with me to look after Arielle and Irene on the way to the harbour. You can follow us using the route to the south of the border."
"When will Princess Zohra go?"
"She said she’d be back this afternoon. Maybe after William and I finish discussing the plan with her."
The two men nodded in understanding. After telling them all the things he wanted to say, Ronan allowed William and Lazarus to return to the inn if they wanted. After seeing their frightened eyes when they just arrived, he decided to allow them to leave Princess Bertha’s residence.
William was about to stand up, but Lazarus shook his head.
"I can’t leave Aimee in this place alone."
Arielle turned to Aimee and Kael who were now sitting next to each other.
"Too many men roaming around here. I don’t like it. What if that man named Timmy tries to seduce Aimee again?"
"It’s Thomas," Aimee chimed in, correcting the name Lazarus had called. Apart from that, she also reminded Lazarus not to do anything reckless considering that Thomas seemed to be the most favorite servant in this residence. The guests spoiled and gave him their attention.
Aimee didn’t want Lazarus’ childish attitude, which was too jealous of the other men, to make Thomas report to Princess Bertha and strained their relationship again. Remembering her first meeting with Princess Bertha, Aimee got the impression that the old woman was still annoyed with William and Lazarus.
"I know. It’s just that... I feel weird. I don’t see any maids around here at all. All I see is men, men, and men. I saw one maid, and it turned out that she was a maid from the palace who had come with us."
