Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 779: Thebis Sunrise
Arielle felt her body was very strange right now. There were times when she felt very weak and a moment later, she was energetic again. Apart from that, Arielle also missed her husband so much.
Although she was used to being left by Ronan for more than a week, this time, the desire to hug the man was great. Yet Arielle refrained from whining and asking Ronan to come when they were talking using telepathy.
Besides, it was impossible because they were in totally different places right now. She didn’t want to make Ronan worry, just telling him about her day had already brought so much joy. Ronan said he was about to prepare himself to leave for Thebis. They would meet again in five days.
Arielle felt that five days was too long as she was just staying in her room. She had already read the same book twice because there was nothing else she could do at the moment.
Arielle frowned upon seeing a bright light at the end of the ocean. The ship’s movement felt much steadier now.
"Has the storm passed?" muttered Arielle while looking out the window and still couldn’t find anybody out there.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Arielle opened her door and saw William and Prince Khaled standing in front of her room. One of the Northendell knights whom Arielle couldn’t see his face was also standing behind them.
"Good morning, Your Majesty," said William and Prince Khaled.
"Good morning. What’s wrong, William?" Arielle asked.
"Prince Khaled said that the ship will pass through the border of Northendell and enter Thebis’ sea. Would you like to see the sunrise together?"
"Sunrise?"
"Yes, many people are also waiting outside to see Northendell’s and Thebis’ sky."
Finally... a chance to get some fresh air. Arielle did not waste the opportunity to see the marvelous sight.
She asked William and Prince Khaled to wait a moment. The girl immediately put on a coat and scarf to cover her face so no one would recognize her.
"I’m ready," said Arielle.
William and Prince Khaled made way for Queen Arielle to walk first. The three of them then went upstairs and saw several people sitting on the side of the ship, waiting for the sun they longed for.
"Your Majesty, I have prepared a place for you to see the sunrise."
Prince Khaled opened the captain’s room door and then took Arielle to the forefront of the ship, while William, as well as one of Northendell’s knights, stood guard behind Arielle.
Prince Khaled had prepared a chair for Arielle to sit comfortably.
"Thank you very much, Prince Khaled," said Arielle, who was grateful for Prince Khaled’s kindness in the last few days. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
The man always made sure that she was okay and got the best service.
Northendell’s sky was still as dark as ever. The snow didn’t fall again, but the cold temperature had not disappeared. Arielle sat patiently, waiting for the change in the sky that William and Prince Khaled talked about.
From where Arielle was sitting, she could see a girl running while dragging the man behind her to stand near the deck. It was the same girl she had seen helping the old man carry the chest of wares.
Arielle smiled because the girl reminded her of Irene who was probably busy studying in her class.
"HIP HIP HOORAY!!!"
"HIP HIP HOORAY!!!"
"HIP HIP HOORAY!!!"
Arelle stood up to walk to the edge of the railing, looking at the floor of the lower deck.
"What’s that sound?" asked Arielle, trying to see more clearly what was happening below.
Suddenly, a very familiar song was heard. That was the sailor song Arielle used to sing!
"Ah, usually the sailors will sing their songs when they cross the waters of the two kingdoms," said Prince Khaled, trying to explain the commotion below.
"Usually the sailors as well as the merchants from Thebis would have a party on the ship as a form of gratitude for having made it back to their kingdom."
"Party?" Arielle asked.
Arielle remembered when she was in one of the villages in Frostmount, she saw merchants from Thebis playing musical instruments, accompanied by several women dancing along the street with snakes on their shoulders.
"I want to see their party," said Arielle.
When Arielle turned to look back at the crowd below, William and Prince Khaled glanced at the man who had been standing guard near them.
Arielle did not wait for their permission. She dashed past William and the Northendell knight behind him to go to the lower deck.
After she passed through the door, she saw a crowd that she had never seen before. Many people laughed together while singing a sailor’s song at the top of their lungs. Some Thebis women also danced along with the music that was professionally played.
They wore very skimpy clothes, a colorful cloth covered their chests with lots of golden ornaments that clinked together as they danced.
Their long skirts hung down and slit on one side, showing off their slender legs, while their bracelets clinked beautifully and added to the uniqueness of the music.
Arielle enjoyed seeing a festival on the ship. William was back and standing behind her. He then led Arielle to one of the nearest empty chairs.
"Look! The Thebis’ sun is coming into view!" exclaimed a man standing on a table while pointing towards the sky.
As the music grew louder, Arielle looked up into the sky and saw what the man meant.
She was stunned to see the border between Northendell and Thebis looked distinct. The two skies were divided by a straight line, one side was gray with dark clouds while the other was bright. The sky of Thebis was clear. It was so blue without a single speck of cloud.
"Whoaaa...." Arielle exclaimed along with several other people who were also seeing something extraordinarily beautiful for the first time.
As they were admiring the splendid sight, the ship entered a lighter area bit by bit. Everyone was cheering because the temperature got warm after spending their time in a gloomy and cold place.
Arielle looked back to where Northendell’s dark sky was.
