Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 791: The Secret Between Arielle, William And The Doctor
Ronan listened to the doctor’s explanation, who had just come out of the room. William also followed and added some more, such as Arielle who didn’t want to be disturbed just yet. The man also told Lucas to provide all the Queen’s needs.
Ronan could only listen from afar because Prince Khaled refused to leave until he knew Queen Arielle’s condition. Accompanied by Lucas, Prince Khaled stood there quite long. Meanwhile, Ronan decided to walk away so as not to arouse suspicion.
But from where he was, he could still hear what they were talking about.
Arielle was exhausted. She also lost her appetite. It caused her to have unbalanced nutrition, and her body getting weak. Moreover, because of the extreme change in temperatures between Northendell and Thebis, it was increasingly difficult for her to adapt.
Prince Khaled then asked William, "Can I see Queen Arielle for a moment? I feel so failed. There are many things that I can’t take care of although King Ronan had asked me to look after the Queen."
Ronan tried to remember if he had said that, then he frowned. He didn’t like Prince Khaled’s excessive attention.
"I’m sorry, Prince. But after the doctor checked Queen Arielle’s condition earlier, he suggested the Queen have a rest and prevent her from meeting many people, so she can focus on improving her health first," explained William.
"Oh, I see... Then, all right. Please don’t hesitate to ask for my help, Lord William. Having Queen Arielle here is also my responsibility."
"Of course, Prince. I will remember it," William replied.
Prince Khaled then left the room. Ronan, with another Northendell knight, bowed as Prince Khaled passed them. After the Prince was out of sight, Ronan rushed to the room where his wife was.
Just as he was about to enter, the door across him opened.
"Arielle is sick?" asked Alexis who appeared so suddenly.
Ronan glanced at the man disinterestedly. His irritated expression lasted only a second, then he rushed inside, leaving Alexis’ question unanswered.
In the room, Arielle sat while leaning on a pillow. Ronan sat down next to her and wiped the sweat from the girl’s brow.
"Are you feeling hot?" he asked worriedly.
"A little."
Having Ronan beside her made Arielle a bit nervous. The girl was not good at lying, but she had to hide her condition until the business in Thebis was over.
Ronan then opened the window so the wind from outside could enter. He put off the fireplace so as not to make the room feel more stuffy. The man even folded the blanket draped on Arielle’s lap and took off the coat she was wearing.
"Thank you, Ronan."
Ronan observed his wife’s face once again. Something about Arielle felt different, but he couldn’t tell what had changed. Arielle’s subtle smile was still as beautiful as ever. Even her sparkling blue irises still made his heart beat faster for no reason.
One thing Ronan knew was, his wife looked very happy, although her face didn’t show it. He knew it didn’t make sense. Arielle was sick right now. The bags under her eyes were distinct, and she was still pale, but Ronan could see Arielle was filled with joy.
And when he stared at her long enough, the girl would shyly turn her face away, as though she were hiding something.
"I have heard everything the doctor said. I’ll take care of you until we arrive in Thebis savely," said Ronan.
From Ronan’s calm demeanor, it seemed William and the doctor kept their promise not to tell Ronan about her pregnancy. Arielle silently let out a sigh of relief.
She felt calmer now.
"I really need to improve the nutrition for my body."
"If there was Aimee or Tania, they would be able to accompany you at any moment."
"Oh, Ronan. With you being here, everything is more than enough. I don’t have anything I want to ask for other than your presence by my side now," said Arielle who felt guilty when Ronan mentioned Aimee’s and Tania’s names.
"If you want to see me not worried, then get well soon."
"Of course. I will recover quickly after this."
Ronan brought his face closer, then kissed Arielle’s forehead gently. Arielle lay her body on the bed. She slept soundly, and Ronan continued to stay beside her. The man gently stroked her hair, giving her the best comfort.
It lasted for several days. Arielle got sleepy easily during her pregnancy. It was like her body always got tired, although she didn’t do much. In the morning, Arielle still often felt nausea and discomfort in her stomach, but with Ronan beside her, she could endure it more than before.
Besides, Arielle was getting closer to Peach. Alexis still kept his distance. The man felt unworthy to get Arielle’s forgiveness this easily. He didn’t even voice out any protest when Ronan snapped at him about this and that.
Arielle had asked Ronan not to continuously threaten Alexis because her brother had apologized. And Ronan agreed with it, but remembering how arrogant Alexis was when the majestic golden crown was placed on his hair made Ronan always burn with anger.
And it seemed William shared the same feeling. Although William still tried to act politely, the man never tried to hide his displeasure.
Meanwhile, Alexis knew his place. His presence wasn’t welcomed by most people, so he stayed away as much as he could from Ronan and the others. But Arielle seemed not aware of it.
Once a day, the girl would ask Alexis and Peach to accompany her in her room. Of course, they were accompanied by Lucas and William, who were on guard if Alexis said something awful or tried to hurt Arielle.
Ronan even ordered William to execute the man on the spot and threw away his body into the sea if that happened.
Like on this very hot day. Arielle just finished taking a bath. She was waiting for Alexis and Peach so they could spend time together like usual. At Alexis’ request, Arielle would call the man Simon because she didn’t want Peach to know their true identities.
