Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 798: The Only Reason
Oh! Ronan really liked his wife’s attitude this time!
The girl was definitely hiding something, and he didn’t mind teasing her until the truth was revealed, especially if his wife was upset like this. Both her eyebrows furrowed and her lips pursed, somehow it excited Ronan.
If Arielle wasn’t sick and the doctor hadn’t suggested the girl to have rest, Ronan would have trapped her under him. Forcing her to speak the truth using several tactics that he was one hundred percent sure would succeed.
"You’re being cold to me," whispered Ronan, making Arielle shudder, then move away as best as she could.
But Ronan’s two strong hands held Arielle from going anywhere. The man drew closer. He could feel a strong push from Arielle on his shoulder, as though asking him to stop.
"Is this a rejection?" asked Ronan who had lost his humor.
Usually, no matter how annoyed Arielle was with him, she wouldn’t reject him like this. Ronan grabbed Arielle’s evening gown, thinking about tearing it off at once, but he knew that would only make Arielle hate him.
Ronan tried to control his emotions.
"Arielle, what’s wrong?" he asked once again.
Arielle was still silent. She kept her mouth tightly shut, making Ronan frustrated.
Ronan was still waiting patiently, but Arielle’s push made him realize that his wife might need some time alone. He would ask again after the girl had calmed down.
For now, he could interrogate William or Lucas. Perhaps something had happened out of his control while Arielle was spending time with them.
Ronan then stood away. He grabbed his clothes, but then his steps halted.
"No. This is not right. We have to talk. Until everything settles!"
Ronan threw off his clothes and sat again.
Arielle crossed her arms, making Ronan even more dejected. Where was his wife who always received him with both arms open?
"I must have pissed you off, right? I’ve thought about this, but I can’t pinpoint any possibility of my attitude upsetting you."
"Because you didn’t do anything, Ronan!" replied Arielle.
"If I did nothing, then why are you avoiding me?" asked the man, trying to get closer to his wife.
However, Arielle pushed him away. It made Ronan even more certain that he had made a mistake that he was not aware of.
"Because I’m just not feeling well!" Arielle snapped.
Ronan slowly backed away out of the shock. Arielle also realized what she had done, then immediately covered her mouth in regret.
"Ah, sorry..." said Ronan who slowly walked away.
Arielle immediately held Ronan’s hand, stopping the man from going away. "No, no, no. I should be the one apologizing for snapping at you. Ronan, I didn’t mean it like that..."
Ronan still felt sad, but he tried to brush his disappointment away. The man stroked Arielle’s face.
"I understand. Sorry to bother you. I suck here. The doctor said that you need more rest, but I keep bothering you."
Ronan let go of Arielle’s hand from his arm. He stood away, then put his clothes back on.
Arielle ran towards the door when Ronan was about to leave. She hugged her husband from behind and held him from opening the door.
"Listen to me. I... did feel annoyed with you. Not because I’m not feeling well, but for another reason."
Ronan was still standing there, waiting for Arielle to explain what really happened.
"I... am annoyed because... because..."
The girl was too nervous to say it out loud.
"Because of what?" Ronan asked impatiently.
Arielle was still trying to find the right words to explain it, but no matter how many times she thought about it, it still felt embarrassing.
Ronan turned to look closely at his wife’s face. His index finger lifted Arielle’s chin, so she looked directly into his eyes.
The girl’s breath was getting heavy due to nervousness and embarrassment.
"Because of... me?" asked Ronan.
Arielle nodded.
"Why?" The man asked in a gentler tone than before.
Arielle held Ronan’s hand that was stroking her arm. It made her want to be touched even more.
"Because you don’t want to... touch me," Arielle answered so softly that Ronan wasn’t sure what she had said.
"Sorry? I can’t hear you clearly. We are alone in this room, Wife. You have nothing to hide," said the man who brought his face closer, so he could hear Arielle’s voice more clearly.
"Um... I... I’m annoyed at you because you don’t want to touch me?"
"Touch you? I already touched- Ah...."
A realization dawned on him. Ronan instantly came to his senses. The man covered his mouth in disbelief at what he had heard. His serious expression slowly softened, and he bit his lip hard, preventing himself not to smile widely.
"Touch you, huh? I... I didn’t mean to make you feel lonely like this."
Arielle pushed the man’s body away.
"I really don’t mind, Ronan. I know your intention is good, it is... to maintain my health. But..."
Ronan moved closer, holding Arielle’s elbow to turn towards him. He wanted to see her embarrassed face.
"But?"
"But I miss you," Arielle answered in a whisper.
Ronan’s breath hitched when he saw Arielle’s twinkling eyes. His wife’s beautiful lips trembled, trying to hold back the tears. Perhaps the girl felt embarrassed for having to say such a thing. Ronan thought Arielle was used to it, but she was still embarrassed with him.
He cupped Arielle’s face, then kissed her gently. The man deepened their kiss. Kissing Arielle more roughly to let go of the desire he had been holding back.
Arielle tried to free herself from Ronan’s kiss.
"Ah... your expression... is so alluring. It’s so enticing, Arielle" Ronan sighed as their lips pressed with each other.
Arielle shook her head. Ronan then distanced himself. He watched his wife closely.
"Okay, then let’s get on the bed now."
Ronan held Arielle’s hand who was about to run away from him. He carried the girl, then put her on the bed.
"Ronan!"
