Loving The Dragon Lord CEO-Chapter 236
236 Better Understanding.
*************
CHAPTER 236
Just as she had promised, the moment she left his house, she asked Asia to meet up with her at a restaurant and got there to wait.
While seated, she took out the time to think through her next course of action carefully. She had agreed to battle it out with Xander and defeat Anders which is one thing she had wished for all along but she needed to bring something to the table too.
Her fingers tapped away on the table in front of her as she absentmindedly seeped her apple juice using the straw in the cup and her thoughts did their own work.
For some minutes she kept at it, recalling all that Xander had told her and how much of a liar Zale was.
Knowing just how annoying things had gotten because she did not get her father’s warning on time and even he did not know he was being played, things went south.
So now, she was not planning on making similar mistakes like it has been done, previously. She planned on setting things straight while she could and making the best mafia family here was.
‘Hmm. Thank goodness this mate bond stuff has really calmed down. Is it because my mind is working endlessly now that is why she is giving me a break?’ Jade questioned in her mind.
.....
Thinking of it now, she really knew she missed him. Normally even if she was at work, one naughty Dragon Lord CEO would have been out there disturbing her while she worked.
He could be naughty and that was one thing she loved about him.
Yes, he was hard, cold, annoying probably like when he first saved her but he was gentle when he needed to be.
She recalled Macy and Sky’s kiss incident and how it had affected Jay and Jenny, especially when they all had to go on a trip just to get the two mates to be okay.
Back then she did not understand the bond between Jenny and Sky. Left to her they were just boyfriend and girlfriend that got hurt a lot and it was a brave thing Jenny did accepting him back even though he hurt her.
At least then she saw it as Jenny was very much deeply in love with Sky as at then but now, being involved in all this dragon stuff, then she understood.
They were mates and there was nothing she could do about how she felt.
She did not understand though how he got distracted and kissed Macy, perhaps then the closeness was what caused it but after their kiss, he knew better. It was strictly Jenny.
“It must have hurt her really bad and him too. Now that I can virtually feel Xander’s emotions and pleasure when we are intimate, I understand how much they could feel each other’s pain,” Jade muttered to herself over her drink
“Hmm, I must say, I kind of envy them. They had found each other since and till now remained faithful. I guess a dragon’s love is external, huh? Then should I take Xander’s word for it? What am I even saying? He wronged me, I know but when it came to love me, he did that with his whole heart. He changed for me. He fought for my friendship.”
Her cheeks pulled back as she recalled, even more, the time when he forcefully wanted her to be his because that was all he was used to.
Now everything became clearer for Jade. She now understood all of his earlier actions when they met and even when he was possessive on the day he saved her and kissed her.
He had grown up into royalty and trained in that way. All he knew was to give the order and it was so. He did not grow up trying to make friends except those he would want to do for diplomatic sake and she believed he had done so.
He was used to getting what he want. In fact, people wanted to befriend him and not the other way around but now when he met her, things were very, very, different.
That was why his kiss was demanding, his friendship... The next thing Jade burst into a laughing fit, ignoring the few stares she was getting.
“Yeah. Be Mine,” the second those words fell out of her mouth she felt a presence behind her and was shocked but soon she relaxed when she knew who it was.
“Hmm, I was beginning to wonder if you were okay? Who are you asking to be yours?”
Taking the turn, she went to stand before jade and smiled at her. “Good to see you out and laughing, babe,” Asia complimented as she took her seat.
“Hmm, always the assassin. Didn’t see you there.”
“Well, what can I say, I love to make an entrance.” The smile on her friend’s face told how happy she was. One of the reasons for that was because Jade was happy too.
“Hmm, about what I said before, who told you to be his? Wait,” she stretched forth her hand stopping Jade. “Do not say. I bet I can guess it right.”
“Okay, I wouldn’t stop you. Shoot.”
“Yeah. It was your dearly beloved boyfriend.”
‘Ex,” Jade corrected.
“Hmm, an ex that you still sleep with?”
Jade’s eyes popped wide open as she looked at Asia, wondering if those words did indeed fall out of her mouth.
“Yes and from your expression, looks like I wasn’t lying.
“What? I did...” She leaned in close and place a hand over Asia’s lips. “Stop talking nonsense.”
She looked around first and then back at Asia before removing her hand from her mouth. “Asia. I did not sleep with him.”
“So the moaning sounds I heard coming from your door yesterday was?”
Jade felt like face-palming herself just listening to Asia. She lowered her head, not really sure of how she was going to explain this whole thing to her friend.
