Madam Wants To Divorce Her Second Husband-Chapter 106
Chapter 106: Chapter 106
Camilla waited for a while until the door was opened from inside, and Sebastian came out while talking to another man in his late thirties or early forties.
He looked well-groomed, and exuded a rich magnate aura. He also seemed to be well-mannered and had that business-savvy look in him. frёeωebɳovel.com
Camilla was stunned for a moment but soon recovered as she realized that the man was too old for her.
’Too bad, that man is in his forties. I prefer men in their late twenties instead,’ Camilla thought as she soon resumed her calm demeanor.
Winter followed them from behind. She didn’t seem to show any sign of emotion, like a doll with a permanently flat face, which was quite surprising for Camilla. She remembered seeing so many emotions in Winter’s face before, and it made Winter very easy to read.
Winter was the first one to notice Camilla as she left the meeting room. She frowned and muttered, "Camilla?"
Sebastian and Lucien, who had been busy discussing how the project would go, turned their heads at the same time and were greeted by the sight of Camilla who smiled politely.
"Why do you need to call my name, Winter? I’m just here to check on you two. So, don’t mind me, alright?" Camilla said, but it was obvious that they couldn’t ignore her, especially when she had been eyeing Lucien LeBlanc the whole time.
Winter was hiding her grin as she had predicted Camilla’s move the whole time. She knew this old witch would come when she heard about Winter and Sebastian looking so harmonious together.
’That means someone must’ve been feeding her information. Since I doubt Sebastian will tell his mother about this,’ Winter suspected. ’I’ve been watching Sebastian’s move since last week, and he doesn’t seem to be contacting his mother a lot.’
’So, who is the traitor? Cindy? I don’t think Cindy has any connection with Camilla whatsoever. The mole must’ve been someone in the lobby. Someone who knows everything, including the meeting which takes place here,’ Winter racked her brain as she tried to eliminate all the unimportant suspects and came up with only two possibilities.
’Either the security guard or the receptionist. I’m sure the security guard has no access to the meeting room. So that leaves only one person...’ Winter had made the final guess, the next thing she had to do was to find this mole and kick her out of the office immediately.
Winter didn’t want to be targeted so early by Camilla, as she knew that Camilla wasn’t someone to mess with without proper preparation.
But she wanted to see Sebastian’s reaction to Camilla’s sudden appearance. If he was on her side, he would at least ignore his mother, because Winter doubted that Sebastian would go against Camilla who had almost complete control over him.
Sebastian’s gaze darkened. He tried his best not to show anger in front of his mother. He knew this woman was up to no good the moment she showed up.
It was Lucien who opened his mouth first, "And you are, Madam?"
"Camilla Saenz. I’m the CEO’s mother," Camilla said as she shook his hand. She wanted Lucien LeBlanc to know her high standing because she was the CEO’s mother.
Lucien’s grin got wider as he found her quite interesting but in a bad way.
"I see. And what are you doing here, Madam? This is a meeting area. Unless you have something important to do in here, I can’t find any reason for your sudden presence."
Camilla’s smile faltered.
This was the reason she disliked men in their late thirties to forties. Most of them were very cunning and could read through her scheme easily. It wasn’t easy to fool them.
That’s why Camilla wanted to have a young boyfriend, preferably around Sebastian’s age, or even younger. She didn’t mind dating an eighteen years old, because they were very easy to control and steer around.
"I’m here to find my son and daughter-in-law, of course," Camilla replied politely. "I’ve heard that my son has a super important meeting with a hotel magnate, so I came to cheer on him. I didn’t know that you’re still here, Mr. LeBlanc. Pardon my intrusion."
"No, no, it’s fine. We’ve just finished the meeting anyway," Lucien said. He glanced at Winter who seemed to be in deep thought. At first, he was a little scared that Winter had a good relationship with her mother-in-law because that would only make it even more difficult for him to steal Winter.
But seeing how she didn’t show any sign of warmth towards Camilla Saenz, Lucien guessed that they also didn’t have a good relationship.
’Since Winter doesn’t like her mother-in-law, it becomes pretty obvious this woman must be vile,’ Lucien thought. He truly trusted the way Winter judged someone’s character, or else, she wouldn’t be able to mingle with the elite circle without getting eaten by the wolves.
Even under Aiden’s protection, if she wasn’t careful, she’d get herself in a very dangerous and humiliating situation.
"So, how did it go, Sir? Has everything been settled? I’m sure my son will provide the best service our company could offer. Sebastian and I worked so hard to maintain Goldmine Realty after Aiden’s death," Camilla said, deliberately claiming it to be ’our company’ while putting Winter—the real owner of the company—to the side.
Lucien noticed it immediately and wanted to defend Winter because he knew this woman was trying to undermine Winter’s role in the office.
Without Winter’s request, Lucien would never step inside this office. He had no use working with Goldmine Realty when he could find another company that would bow to all of his requests without question.
He did it all for Winter.
However, just when he was about to open his mouth, Sebastian already defended Winter first.
"It’s all thanks to my wife, Winter, of course. As the real owner of Goldmine Realty, she knows how to find an amazing collaborator such as you, Mr. LeBlanc," Sebastian said to Lucien. Though, it was meant to refute Camilla’s claim. "She’s the one who saved the company."
