Madam Wants To Divorce Her Second Husband-Chapter 71
Chapter 71: Chapter 71
Sebastian allowed Winter to process what had just happened. He turned around and headed to his room.
Winter was caught off guard. Amongst all the things she predicted, she never thought that Sebastian would kiss her.
Winter touched her lips with her index and traced ther wetness. She could feel the earnestness when he kissed her, as if he truly wanted to kiss her.
’This is strange, why did he kiss me?’ Winter thought absentmindedly. ’At this point, he should loathe me enough not to touch me. Isn’t that the point of me distancing myself?’
Winter wondered if her suspicion about Sebastian was true or if he was just angry at her taunt and decided to kiss her out of spite. After all, he always had his way to melt her heart.
On top of that, she hated the fact that she didn’t hate the kiss. She remembered his lips and how he ensured she knew the man she married.
In their previous life, before he showed his true self, he would always kiss her whenever she mentioned Aiden as a way to shut her up.
He always said that he got uneasy whenever Winter talked about another man. So she thought he was a jealous type.
’But he’s not a jealous type. He’s a controlling type. He just doesn’t want me to ruin his perfect image,’ Winter scoffed. Her warm heart slowly cooled after she recalled all the horrible things that happened to her in the past. ’That’s right. This kiss must’ve been his way to shut me up. So I shouldn’t think of it as anything special.’
Winter tried to steel her heart again, erecting an ice wall around it so a mere kiss wouldn’t melt her.
"You are so vulnerable, Winter," Winter scolded herself. It was also a reminder that she shouldn’t make the same mistake. Only an idiot would fall into the same hole twice.
She quickly rinsed her lips with tap water and took a few deep breaths to calm down before putting on her apron.
She had already promised Sebastian she would cook dinner for him, but that didn’t mean she’d play the good housewife a second time. She also wanted payback for that bastard who dared to kiss her.

Sebastian closed the door and quickly threw himself on the bed, trying to process what had just happened.
Honestly, he didn’t expect himself to kiss her. He didn’t want to risk Winter discovering his true identity.
Yet, he couldn’t hold himself when Winter said she would leave him. It was impossible for him to calm down after that, even if he knew Winter would never cheat.
So he kissed her as a sign of marking that they were married and bound by love. Not even death would do them apart.
Sebastian put his palm on his chest, trying to calm his racing heartbeat. It had been years since he last kissed her, and he was about to burst with joy.
In fact, he still remembered his last kiss before this one, but Winter wouldn’t remember because she was dead at that point.
Winter’s body was covered from the neck down during her funeral because her body was in terrible condition. It was a miracle that her head was still intact.
It was an open-casket funeral, but there was nobody except Sebastian during the funeral. So he spent the whole time staring at her pale face.
Sometimes, he wished she would just spring from that casket and tell him everything was fine. It was a crazy fantasy, of course, but after Winter’s death, his mind was filled with such fantasies.
He kissed her for the last time before the casket was closed. When Winter was buried, he held himself, fighting the intrusive thoughts that urged him to jump in and join Winter in that grave. He feared Winter would feel lonely down there, so he wanted to warm her with his body.
He toughened his resolve until the funeral was over, but he felt as though his heart had been buried alongside his wife’s body.
’Her lips are so warm...’
He much preferred her warm lips to the cold ones he had kissed. He wanted her to be alive and healthy because a life without Winter was bleak and depressing.
Sebastian went to the bathroom and took a cold shower to calm his heart. Unfortunately, even with the cold water that dropped from the top of his head and trailed down to his toes, he still felt warm all over.
He couldn’t think about Winter and her body.
’If given the chance, I’d want to do more than just kiss you...’ Sebastian thought. ’I want to do so much more with you, wife...’

Sebastian walked out of the bedroom with slightly damp hair. He didn’t wear a shirt, a habit he had kept since his days as a university student. He wore gray sweatpants without underwear beneath because it would get a little too stuffy.
He walked to the kitchen, drawn by a fragrant aroma, and much to his pleasant surprise, he saw Winter putting the food she had cooked into a large plate. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
"Are you done with whatever you were doing in your room?" Winter asked casually without looking at him. "I made Asian-style fried rice for you. It’s a little spicy, but I’m sure you can handle it just fine."
"You actually cook for me?" Sebastian asked absentmindedly. He couldn’t believe that Winter was being genuine. Had he not known any better, he would’ve thought that Winter had forgotten about what happened in their previous lives.
"I promised to cook something for you, and I’m not someone who’d break my promise," Winter smirked. "Promise me to eat everything, alright?"
Winter turned her head toward Sebastian, and her jaw dropped when she saw him shirtless, casually showing his lean muscle that made him very attractive in Winter’s eyes.
She looked down and noticed his gray sweatpants. It was obvious he wasn’t wearing underwear because his bulge was too noticeable.
