Mage Manual-Chapter 611 - 493 Empress Yisu
Chapter 611: Chapter 493 Empress Yisu
"Why are Senheiser and Belladett fighting?"
"Apparently, Belladett was called a dwarf."
"That’s just too much, isn’t it? Belladett is just not obviously tall. Is it necessary to attack her physical shortcomings? Besides, with Senheiser so much taller, the fight looks like someone from the second floor battling a fire hydrant."
"Even though Belladett has a reason to fight, there’s no need for Senheiser to entangle with her, right?"
"It’s because both of Senheiser’s sisters were cursed back by Belladett."
"Cursed with what?"
"Probably something about them being forward and backward, left and right, supporting from above and pushing from below, both inside and out, and having slick tongues..."
Thud!
Yvalin landed gracefully on the dessert table, her small leather boots tapping urgently, shattering the entire table into pieces in an instant. She leaped, drawing a blue arc through the air as she approached Nona. In a blink of an eye, her right hand almost hooked onto the elf’s nape!
Fist Claw Miracle: Wicked Bend!
Nona’s body suddenly shone with a slick gleam. When Yvalin’s palm touched her neck, it just slid off, and Nona, instead, used Yvalin’s force to spin in place. Her slender right leg swept out a crescent moon arc, kicking towards the blue-haired girl like a cloud-grazing razor!
Water Magic Miracle: Ignition!
Boom!
Along with a thunderous explosion surrounded by billowing black smoke, all nearby tables were overturned and shattered!
Yvalin escaped from the black smoke, landing on another table, poised and lightly touching the ground on all fours, her eyes turning to vertical pupils, resembling a cornered jackal. Her once clear blue hair was now sullied with black grime, and her elegant and luxurious gown was also stained with blood in a few places.
Nona waved her hand to disperse the black smoke. At that moment, the elf was soaked in transparent oil, her body wet and sticky. Drops of oil slid from her hair tips, fingertips, and the hem of her dress every second, trailing long thin oil lines, even soaking the carpet.
With a vicious growl from Yvalin, Belladett’s sister and Senheiser’s younger sister were embroiled in fighting again. Explosions and booming sounds were incessant to the ear, and in no time, the banquet hall was trashed as if it were a garbage dump, lively as if fireworks had exploded right there.
This was no surprise; though Yvalin primarily studied the Fist Claw Faction, her combat style was not bear-like but more cat-like. It was only natural for her to make a mess in her surroundings when she fought.
Since the Fist Claw Faction is arguably the simplest Magic Faction to enter, truly epitomizing ’you just need hands to join,’ the Technique Spirits within this faction are extremely diverse, and their styles greatly varied. The differences in combat style within the Fist Claw Faction were so vast that they were akin to the differences between various Magic Factions. Other mages naturally wouldn’t delve into the distinctions between Fist Claw mages, broadly categorizing them as ’bear,’ ’cat,’ ’wolf,’ and ’eagle.’
Yvalin was a typical cat-style mage, refusing all head-on battles, excelling at nimble assaults, and constantly seeking out the enemy’s flaws and weaknesses. Naturally, the fight would end up demolishing the surroundings.
However, Nona was the natural adversary of close-quarters fighters—she specialized in a derivative direction of the Water Technique Faction: ’Oil’!
This was an extremely unpopular yet powerful direction in Water Magic because oil has two major properties: lubrication and combustibility. By taking these two properties to the extreme, Nona’s oil layer allowed her to slip away from most close-quarters attacks; practically no one could truly touch her skin in melee combat!
Some might think that since she was covered in oil, igniting her should do the trick, right? But there was no need for enemies to make a move; Nona would actively ignite the glycerin on her body, even using it as a deadly finisher! As for why it didn’t affect her, that was, of course, due to a Miracle.
Though a Water Mage, Nona was adept at explosions, combustion, and melee combat, rightfully considered the landslide flow amongst Water Mages! Therefore, her fight was also a continuous series of explosions, facing off against the hit-and-run expert Yvalin; they were like the demolishing twins!
Most guests retreated to the back, relishing the chaos with schadenfreude and snacking on melon seeds, but some felt it was too much and wanted to intervene. However, those nearby would immediately come over to persuade them: "Why bother with them? Didn’t you see that their own people are standing back and watching the fight?"
Keen-eyed onlookers noticed that Belladett’s sister Anfeier, and Senheiser’s Clan Leader Qinna were standing not far away, tacitly allowing this improperly timed and wrongly located conflict to occur. As for why they didn’t join in, everyone quickly understood—Qinna was a Holy Sanctuary Mage, and her involvement would be bullying; Anfeier wasn’t even a Mage, so her involvement would also be bullying.
Only Nona and Yvalin were both Two-winged Mages, evenly matched in combat power, making them the most suitable candidates to uphold their family honor. However, watching Qinna and Anfeier stand by and watch their sisters fight gave off the peculiar feeling of a summoner watching their summoned beings clash...

Yvalin took a step back, crushing a majestic volcano lava cake with her foot. She was unharmed, but the splatter covered a nearby servant in cake. At that moment, Nona charged and with a mid-air kick, the glycerin on her high-heeled boot fully ignited in the tight contact, and a colossal roar echoed vehemently in the hall, reverberating in everyone’s ears!
Like a mountain cat, the blue-haired girl leaped up clinging to the chandelier on the ceiling, while Nona also quickly moved away from the blast site, swiftly grabbing the unfortunate servant caught in their fray. She flung him effortlessly, slinging the servant covered in cake and oil across the room as the guests stepped aside to clear a path, allowing the poor guy to roll out neatly.
