Magus Supremacy-Chapter 774: Arriving Guests
Chapter 774
The duo filtered out of the carriage that had rolled to a stop in front of the coliseum which was located in the heart of the Umbrafell faction.
Since everybody lived in one unity and no separate clans all around, the tournament won’t be held in a single person’s clan.
The coliseum from the outside looked quite huge. Enormous enough to fit about ten thousand people inside comfortably.
Grey could see the civilians from the faction filtering in.
A giant door stood in front of them and to get in, the people had to show an invitation only then will the guards let them in.
Grey also showed his invitation given to him by Leo and he was allowed inside along with Alba.
Walking inside, Grey was revealed to a tremendously wide area around him. If he didn’t know better, he would have thought he appeared in a wide barren land.
That was how wide the place was. If it wasn’t for the stands up above and three separate booths that stood on the side, the place would have looked empty.
The stands that looked like it could hold seven thousand people max was already almost full.
The three huge booths weren’t see through so he didn’t know if they were filled up or not.
"That is where the three factions would be staying in along with their contestants." Alba whispered into Grey’s ears as she pointed at the three booths that looked big enough to fit about thirty people comfortably.
The glass surrounding the whole thing was opaque and too dark to not be able to see anything. It also felt as if it had a concealment artifact around it not allowing the mage sense who or what was in them.
A guard inside the place directed them to a stairs that took them up to the stands where they would have a great view on the tournament.
The moment they reached the stands, Grey and Alba split up and they went to different directions to sit down.
Grey was in the midst of the civilians from the umbrafell faction who were all chatting casually.
Infact, there didn’t look to be any social class or hierarchy amongst them all.
’That’s even true.’ The mage thought as he looked around him.
Everybody were dressed equally without any sign of a struggling individual or something.
It was like there was abundant resources in this faction. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
’Now I know why Fenrir mentioned that most people run to this place. It’s like a heaven on earth for some. But from all I have learnt, there’s always a deeper meaning to all these ’safe and heavenly’ things. Something is up. I mean what are these people getting in return?’
Grey shrugged as he kept scanning the place around him. The coliseum was being filled rapidly not only with the citizens of this faction, but from other factions.
Whether you are famous or not, as long as you weren’t part of the contestants nor from the big three factions, your place was at the stands where everybody were given equal sitting.
And just as Leo said, there were tons of people concealing their identities behind mask hence he didn’t look out of place.
This made him heave a sigh of relief as he finally relaxed in his seat calmly blending with everyone else.
For some reason, no matter how hard he searched, he was unable to spot anybody recognisable.
Although, he did spot some members from the Midnight Sun Clan though. Although not high ranking individuals, but still members of the clan. Probably squad members that had been dispatched to the tournament for a reason.
Knowing that these people were also part of the Otherworlders whether they knew it or not, it infuriated Grey a lot but he kept it bottled in and just watched on.
Luckily, he was good in the arts of concealment hence he created a spell that hid his aura.
He wiped his mana aura off as if it never existed in the first place leaving him with just his ki signature that in the face of the thousand of people here, he seemed... harmless.
’Now I’m lost. Should I have invited Kira or it would have been overkill? Actually, I will just keep her for a last resort. If Orion gets too powerful for me, I will just summon her.’ Grey nodded to himself as he sat watching and listening to the noisy coliseum.
Soon enough—
Rumble, Rumble, Rumble—!
The coliseum shuddered loudly as if an earthquake was about to erupt causing everybody to keep their mouths shut instantly.
"Testing," A calm, wise voice suddenly resounded in the air.
All the seven thousand people in the coliseum were able to hear the voice loud and clear as if the man was speaking into a speaker or something.
"Okay, it is working." The voice chuckled again seemingly coming from one of the three booths.
The three booths were located as thus; one on the North side of the coliseum immediately one walked in.
The second was placed at the far east while the last was placed at the far West of the coliseum with all of them almost underneath the stands above.
And currently, the voice seemed to be coming from the North side of the coliseum.
"Alright then. Before I begin, I want to know if our distinguished guests and participants have arrived. The Aetherian faction? Are you all here?"
The moment the question was asked, a dense, overpowering aura poured out from the east booth causing almost everybody to break out in sweat.
The aura was so powerful that it covered the whole coliseum signalling something to everybody there.
’Orion Stormvale is around.’
"Great. Welcome." The same eager voice said and almost immediately, the aura receded back.
"Ahem... the Noxarian faction?"
An aura poured out from the west booth. Though modest compared to that of Orion, it was still powerful.
"Good. It seems everybody is here." The same voice spoke with a calm tone causing the aura to receede.
Grey stopped listening for a moment as his gaze now turned to the east booth. His hands clenched tightly as he glared at it with murderous intent.
’Orion Stormvale, so that’s where you are. Just you wait a little while longer, it will soon be time for us to properly introduce ourselves.’
