Chapter 775: The East Booth

Chapter 775

***

In the east booth, beyond the opaque glass structure, a few figures could be seen inside.

Sitting on comfortable high rise chairs, were the three leaders of Aetherian faction.

Orion Stormvale the leader of the waterfall clan and in turn the figurehead of the Aetherian faction.

The next was Selene Nightbane. The leader of the Aetherborn clan who had a powerful figure to her.

Her whip wrapped around her waist like a firm belt as she stared outside.

Even though from the outside the glass was not see through, from the inside, the story was different.

Everybody in the booth could see the outside as clear as day and infact, the booth was strategically placed granting them a clear view of the arena so they could see any battle taking place.

To Selene’s side, sat Rowen Ashford— the leader of the Ironfur clan. A ruthless clan made of humans that were as ruthless as beasts.

Behind them stood a few figures.

Firstly was Leo— the current vice principal of the Aetherian academy and in turn, the vice clan leader of the Aetherborn clan.

He stood firmly behind Selene.

The next figure was Gunther Stormvale. Orion’s first fruit who stood solidly behind his back with his swords strapped to his back.

His arms were folded as he stood like a mountain while he stared outside.

Gunther had no specific role in the Aetherian academy or even the Waterfall Clan. He was just the elite instructor everybody knew for some reason.

Speaking of elite instructors, Sera could also be seen standing beside Gunther. Her eyes fixed intently on the powerhouses in the booth.

She couldn’t help but feel fidgety at first but with a nudge from Gunther, she took in a deep breath and calmed herself down.

Unfortunately, the Ironfur clan had no vice clan leader. Not like Rowen needed one as he was more than strong enough to handle anything that came his way.

But for formality sake, he still brought someone. His oldest son. The twenty something young man stood solidly behind his father.

Eyes as fierce as that of a predator. Hands tucked in his pockets while he kept a stoic expression on his face.

This was Drevor Ashford. A stage seven warrior and the potential heir to the Ironfur clan if it wasn’t for a strong contender that suddenly came out.

His youngest brother— Rivock.

Speaking of Rivock, the young descendant stood metres away from the powerhouses in the room. He stood with the other participants of this tournament.

The other two descendants— Mada Stormvale, Noelle Nightbane and the other participants who turned out to be Grey’s friends.

Finral Cromwell, Ray, Liam and Thalos who was under disguise and went by the name of Pink.

All these contestants in the room exuded quite the pressure. That was because they had been through hell and back during the past two months.

The training they had been through in the past two months, the hell they had been through was enough to shatter anybody.

Yet they stood strong here. Ready for the tournament and the other event that was to come.

Normally, they would have all been broken especially Liam but one thing kept them going.

The drive to help Grey. That forced them to keep going and they were willing to see things through.

The only person who wasn’t worried one bit, was of course Thalos who stood two metres away from them in his human form and hands crossed as he kept his gaze fixed on the powerhouses in the booth.

The booth was about twelve metres wide allowing for ample space and movement without feeling cramped one bit.

Hence putting a considerable distance between the leaders and the kids. Also, aside from this, about twelve strong men each from the three leaders stood at the back and ready for anything.

That was the least they were allowed to bring along with them least they sparked a war.

Thirty-six stage five and six warriors each armed to the teeth stood like statues, watching and ready.

Seeing how prepared the leaders were, Thalos couldn’t help but feel uneasy somewhat.

’Will this work? Can we actually defeat them? Even in enemy territory, they still look calm as if they can’t be ambushed or taken down. This is crazy to be honest. Grey, I hope you can pull this off.’

"Ohoy Orion, where is that wandering fool at?" Rowen couldn’t help but ask as his eyes darted around the booth but was unable to find a particular person.

"Who?" Orion asked as calm as ever as his gaze remained fixed outside.

It was at that precise moment he was asked to show if they were around hence he unleashed his aura that covered the whole coliseum causing the participants in the room to break out in sweat. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Infact, Liam almost collapsed to the ground if it wasn’t for the timely retraction of the aura that saved him. He had felt suffocated.

"I mean your vice leader." Rowen replied seemingly unfazed by the fact that the man had just unleashed his tremendous aura a moment ago.

"..."

A pause was observed as Orion leaned his head on his knuckles while staring outside.

"I don’t know. I have never known where that fool goes and why. He just goes and comes like a ghost and barely stays back at the clan. But one thing is for sure, he will come."

Selene crossed her hands in front of her face.

"Why did you even choose that guy as your second in command?"

Orion paused for a moment. Eyes twinkling as the announcer was still speaking.

"I don’t know. Let’s just say that he reminded me of someone."

The moment he finished talking, the announcer shouted;

"... Finally. As per customs, it’s time to announce the rules of this tournament and also, the prize pool we have prepared for the winners. I guarantee you, these prizes are sure to wow you all."
