Chapter 871: Being Filled In

Chapter 871

"Kindly fill me in on whatever I might have missed in those three weeks."

"Sure. What do you want to know?" Leo demanded with a raised brow.

Grey thought for a few seconds before he tilted his head to look at the vice principal.

"Everything there is to know. The state of the world after what happened that day; how Mada, Gunther, Noelle and Rivock are doing after what they were through; my friends and allies, how they are. And if there’s any pending issues I need to solve."

Leo rubbed his temples for a few seconds as he looked straight ahead at the empty space seemingly in a deep thought but not letting it show on his face.

"Sigh... Let’s just say that things haven’t been that good."

Grey raised an eyebrow in worry as he fully turned to look at the man.

"Meaning?"

Leo sighed again before rising from his chair and walking to the edge of the bed where Grey’s feet was.

He stood directly in front of it like a reporter about to give a news report of some sorts.

"Firstly; when the whole world found out that the leaders of Aetherian faction along with Orion were dead, it sent a ripple across the world. Vayun was in dissary for days.

Nobody could believe this. But what made them believe this the more was the fact that the Umbrafell faction released the statement themselves. What they were thinking by doing this? I don’t know."

Grey listened attentively without interrupting the warrior before him.

"... We knew that the Aetherian faction will be a target for an attack. So we had to debunk any such attacks before anybody thought of it. Which was why, after recovering their strength enough; the direct descendants, Gunther, Sera and even some members of the Crimson Lotus Clan travelled across clans.

Challenging them and their leaders to a fight and prevailing, they proved their strengths therefore causing the other clans in the faction that would have wanted to attack us thinking we are in shambles to stand back."

"....."

Leo paused for a moment as he licked his dry lips before continuing:

"For weeks now, they have been doing this again and again. Even with this; the faction and even our territory was being poked by the others. Some from the Umbrafell faction while some from within our faction too.

Those that were suppressed by Orion decided to unleash their rage onto us. It wasn’t easy repelling these people. Aside from that, the big three clans; The Waterfall Clan, Aetherborn clan and Ironfur clan; their elders have been pressuring us to choose a leader.

Only a strong leader will be able to put these guys in their place."

Grey nodded along. No emotion appearing on his face as he rubbed his temples.

Leo continued after a moment of pause:

"About how Mada and the rest are coping? Well, they are working as hard as they could to make sure the faction doesn’t crumble to the ground. They are barely around so I don’t think they are even in the faction at the moment."

The man paused again as a thought crossed his mind. With a deep, tired sigh, he added;

"... About your friends and allies; Ray and Liam are still in the faction at the moment, safe within these walls."

Hearing that, Grey’s eyes widened.

"And Finral?"

A dark look appeared on the warrior’s face. He rubbed his missing arm a few times before responding:

"... Finral has returned back home after a few dozen failed attempted assassination on you. That is why I’m even here to begin with. We have been rotating a shift on who would look after you.

After failing a few times to kill you due to our interference, he left the faction possibly to return back to his family."

Grey didn’t look that surprised by the fact that Finral had tried killing him in his slumber. He knew how angry the youth was and it would have been a surprise if he hadn’t actually attempted something.

’I hope Yami sir is able to speak some sense into him.’

"And your allies? Thalos is also on a mission along with the direct descendants and the Crimson Lotus Clan trying to suppress anybody that dares to attack. The phoenix from earlier is in a chamber that could contain its power since it can’t be seen outside.

So currently, its in the faction. Fenrir is also around helping me to sort out the administrative duties that comes with all these issues since I can’t do anything while watching you."

Leo thought for a second before uttering:

"Oh! I didn’t know you had Borfan’s son aiding you, well; he also returned back to the Noxarian faction. In short, the Aetherian faction is in total disarray at the moment without a leader."

Grey looked at the man for a few seconds as he was considering all that had been said to him. The information was quite much to process yet, he remained silent in deep thought.

His thoughts was broken by Leo’s sudden words again:

"... I don’t know if you are fit enough but the others will be returning in an hour or so. Besides, I also have something to show you."

Grey lifted an eyebrow at the warrior’s words.

"Huh? What is it?"

Leo shook his head with a wide grin on his face.

"I can’t say a thing right now. Whenever you are ready, I will show you."

Grey looked at the man for several seconds then waved his hand in the air.

"Okay. I will be out in a few minutes. I need to gather my thoughts."

Leo nodded then turned away. After getting to the door and opening it, the warrior suddenly paused and turned around to look in Grey’s direction.

"Oh! By the way, I forgot to tell you."

The mage looked up with a confused look on his face.

Leo sighed then turned back around before speaking over his shoulders:

"The Midnight Sun Clan has been obliterated by the Cromwell family."

Grey’s eyes widened to such an extent it looked like his eyeballs were about to pop out of his skull as he watched the doors closing after Leo.
