Magus Supremacy-Chapter 872
Chapter 872
Grey stared at the door that had now closed shut with wide eyes.
His mind spinning at the new information Leo had just bestowed his ears with.
The Midnight Sun Clan was obliterated?
The clan that acted as a law enforcer across all factions. The clan that dealt with rogue warriors and some other issues of the world.
The same clan Grey recently found out had hands with the Otherworlders and they had upper zodiac four leading them was obliterated?
’Wait... by the Cromwell family?’
Grey’s eyes widened the more as he further dragged his palms across his face.
’Did Yami sir go ahead to ask his family for help? I recall informing him that the Midnight Sun Clan had a zodiac as their leader. So he went ahead to ask for their help and they really did help?’
Grey could feel a headache building up as he rubbed his temples while staring at his blanket.
’But damn it! I knew that family was strong and had a monster leading them, but I never anticipated them eliminating such a huge network as if it was nothing. This is crazy considering the fact that the zodiac there could be a powerful mage like me.
Yet they lost? Who is Yami’s father?! With such a monstrous strength, what if he is a god?’
Grey thought for a few seconds as a thought crossed his mind.
"Come to think of it; Orion was also wary of the Cromwells. So does that mean the leader of that family is stronger than even Orion? Which means their obliteration of the Midnight Sun Clan is plausible. But goddamn! How many powerful figures are in this world?"
Grey fell backward on his bed as he suddenly felt a headache washing over him. Staring at the ceiling, he blinked for a few seconds.
’Er...Noir? Remind me not to get into the bad books of the Cromwell family. It will really be a pain in the neck handling them.’
The wolf didn’t even reply at all leaving Grey’s mind with total silence.
Not as if the mage cared about it in the first place as he even appreciated the silence in his mind.
Turning to look at the chair Leo had been seating on, the mage drifted into another bout of thoughts.
"I can’t believe it. I have come so far in terms of power." Grey muttered as a memory resurfaced in his mind.
"... From a scrawny, powerless kid always getting bullied by mages my age for not having magic to the Supreme Magus that a powerful organisation like the Otherworlders fear."
He slowly sat up from his laid back position while staring straight ahead.
"From a kid that the most basic of spells could send flying to someone being able to withstand hits from giants. Being able to tear creatures, humans, warriors, demons apart. Being able to wield such amazingly destructive power."
Letting out a soft sigh, he lifted his gaze to the ceiling overhead.
"... But even with all these, it’s still not enough. Orion is not dead yet and we will properly face eachother again sooner or later. The leader of that blasted organisation is also there and lastly, the demons could be cooking something powerful against me."
Looking at his hands, the mage clenched them in and out. A dark glint gleaming in his eyes.
"I still need more. More strength, more power. What I have isn’t still enough; I need more."
With that declaration, Grey stepped out of his bed and into the bathroom to wash up and see what Leo had in store for him.

Thirty minutes later, Grey was brought into the Aetherian academy. He was brought into a hall in the academy.
The grand doors opened up to reveal an enormous room that seemed huge enough to fit a thousand people comfortably in it.
The room was otherwise just plain with a few dozen chairs around the place that had occupants on them; while scores of people stood around the place.
Straight ahead, on a raised platform; a distinctly looking chair that almost looked like a throne sat there.
Grey stood at the entrance to the hall staring at where he had been brought.
The hall exuded a kind of pressure that would weigh on someone not strong enough.
Just from the aura in the room,he could see certain powerful people whom he knew nothing about.
They all turned their attention in his direction as if wondering who he actually was.
But the moment they saw that he was just a kid, they all looked away leaving Leo to walk him forward.
As he walked into the hall, he spotted his allies on the wide platform standing behind the throne-like chair.
Gunther, Mada, Noelle who stared ahead. A black eye patch was fitted around where her missing eye was. Tons of unhealed cuts still lingered on her face, skin and body.
Even after three weeks, it didn’t look like those cuts will be healing anytime soon. The once calm, collected direct descendant now exuded an energy of death all around her.
She looked... cold. Ruthless even.
It seemed like the battle she had with her mother affected her in a strange way.
Looking away, the mage spotted Rivock who was grinning like a madman, instructor Sera, Thalos in his human form, Liam, Ray, Alba, Killian and Lance.
It looked like the rest of the Crimson Lotus Clan had returned back to their base leaving just Alba, Killian and Lance here.
Still, Grey didn’t understand what was going on and why so many people were gathered here.
If he wasn’t mistaken, around two hundred people were gathered in the hall right now with about six or a dozen seated on different chairs.
Those ones looked like VIP’S and seemed to posses enormous power and strength compared to the others in the hall.
Grey just walked off and stood to the side in his plain dressing. His robe had been torn to shreds in the battle so he was just dressed in an unmemorable and plain attire.
Which was why nobody paid him any attention whatsoever.
Unable to take it anymore, one of those seated uttered;
"Leo, what’s the meeting about?!"
