Seated cross-legged at the bank of the pool, Leon could be noticed in a meditative state, slowly inhaling incense into his system.

The BloodMisty lillys had been refining Leon’s bloodline for weeks now and he felt like the chains of his current level loosening even without him attempting to break through.

He could feel that, If he were to put in a little more effort, he would easily break into the middle stages of level 3.

"It all begins with you" Leon muttered as an ethereal Orb slowly formed above him.

This was the progression of his Site first was the Serpent attribute, then the blood attribute.....and now he had partially added another mysterious attribute.

Life attribute.

Leon didn’t plan for it, while in a closed door session the life devourer spell had suddenly started running on its own and added itself to his Site.

It was a huge surprise and opened him up to different purview of his Site. If he could add life energy related attributes to his Site, what of negative energy? What of soul energy?

If he could combine these things wouldn’t he become an absolute monster?

Leon couldn’t help but muse the possibilities.

As he was in this state of mind, he noticed some movements far inside the dark, approaching him slowly.

"Hm?" Leon raised his eyebrows and opened his eyes to the figure of a captain standing right infront of him.

"Hello little brother...." The captain smiled at Leon while looking down at him in his cross-legged position.

He was the one who defended Leon when Victoria insinuated that he could never attain immortality. He was called Avon the bloodmancer.

He was from one of the prestigious families in the main clan. This was not a common occurance amongst the enforcement units captains.

The Arbiters could be influenced, even the sentinels. But captains of the unit were solely chosen by the high Arbiter.

As such he only chose those who fulfilled his criteria, and often more than not, they were clan members with little to no backing he found on the streets.

"Hello brother Avon, what brings you here?" Leon turned to say to Avon who was standing right before him.

Most of the captains were preparing to enter the pool and refine their blood, but Avon had decided to follow him this far.

"I just wanted to check up on you and see if you have the appropriate tools for the refinement process" Avon slowly transitioned into a cross-legged position while speaking.

Leon was the new guy and most time, these ones needed help the most. As Leon’s ’senior’ he felt the obligation to help the best he could.

"Thank you for your generosity brother Avon, but I don’t plan to enter the pool" Leon said causally while staring down Avon

The pool wouldn’t help him any better than a session with the BloodMisty lillys. So why even bother?

"Ahhh? Why? Don’t tell me..." Avon looked at the ground where a small stone container could be seen emitting a strange gas.

Things like these were all over BloodRock city. Knock off miracle drugs that promised to improve one’s strength by leaps and bounds with a little push.

In all the sacred land, they were like the drug capital. It seemed like, Leon had fallen for one of theses scams.

"You wouldn’t understand" Leon smiled and nodded. This wasn’t the time to advertise the BloodMisty lillys.

He didn’t want to bring unnecessary attention to himself while he was still this weak.

"Hmmm, okay" Avon nodded his head and walked towards a rock not to far away and dropped into a lotus position.

(What do you want?)

Leon grumbled in his mind. This guy was being a pain in the ass. He had given him a brush off, the best thing to do would be to leave, but instead he decided to stick around?

"Sigh" at that moment Leon decided that leaking his secrets wasn’t a good idea, so after this batch of BloodMisty lilly powder, he would just stop practicing.

So he waited, and sooner rather than later the powder finished and Leon didn’t replace it.

But, it was too late.

(Why do I feel so much more refreshed than before?)

Avon checked his hand and frowned. The bloodmancer family was well known for their blood spells...yes, they were a family of blood manipulators, just like Liana.

But unlike Liana who wasn’t as exposed, the bloodmancer family had more knowledge on their body type and would constantly amplify it with diffrent methods.

On one hand, their methods made sure that they were one of the Strongest families in the clan, but on the other hand, it limited their long term potential.

In exchange for their short bursts of power most destroyed their future and that included Avon to some extent.

Avon however, had a very think bloodline and wasn’t easily stunted. It was assumed that he would probably reach the peak of level 3 before the age of 40.

This was actually a big feat.....Avon didn’t like it though. He didn’t want a limited future so he left the family’s faction and joined the enforcement unit where he met the High Arbiter and was taken in as a deciple.

"Kid, what was.....?" Avon was about to ask Leon about the powder before aburbtly stopping to check himself.

If Leon wanted to tell him, he would. It now dawned on him that he was trespassing Leon’s private session.

"I’ll take my leave now" Avon stood up and bowed his head at Leon showing gratitude. Then he directly took of his shirt before sprinting to dive into the bloodpool.

This was why he was he anyway.

"Sigh" Leon shook his head as he noticed Avon leave. If just a whiff of the BloodMisty lillys could create such a reaction in a young talent like Avon.....

Imagine what it would do to those who have to thought or belief that they could ever break through?

This was a huge business opportunity.

"Hisssss"

While Leon thought of how to extort some old and desperate warlocks. The sound of slithering sounded in his ear as levi appeared in his field of vision.

(You won’t believe what I found down there,)

Levi transmitted to Leon causing a chill to run down his spine.

The last time Levi sensed something under a pool, they ended up releasing an age old sorcerer. What could it be this time?

Treasure? Or danger?
