Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity-Chapter 258: The Royal Walkway
The following hours were filled with schemes and plans. Alliances were formed, people were attacked in the dark, and chaos reigned—all because of the treasured phenomenon known as the Royal Walkway.
It was safe to say that the Golden Griffin Clan had regained complete control over the situation in the Sacred Land.
Before dusk the next day,
The edge of Griffin’s Peak was filled with members of the myriad clans in their groups. The time for the walkway to open was extremely close, so they had to be here as it would begin at this edge.
By now, several alliances had been formed: the Unique Claw Clan and the Titanium Giant Clan were on one side, while the Severed Wing Clan and the Spikey Wombat Clan were another alliance at a different location.
The clans with existences at the peak of Level 4, like Divine Kang, didn’t need many figures in their alliance, so the arrangement was relatively simple.

"That one might be a problem," Rengoku said calmly to a young woman with armor made of bones. The Blood Serpent Clan had, in a twist of fate, aligned themselves with the Bone Serpent Clan and the Blood Eel Clan. All three powers of Bloodrock City with the capability to be here were in this alliance.
"Kai Loxin? He’s just a little wimp. Little Kang can take him," Elder Black Wing commented, sending a jab at the Unique Claw Clan.
Among those who truly shone 10 years ago, Kai Loxin was ranked just below Kang. As such, Kang knew him very well. It shouldn’t be a problem.
"Senior, I’m not talking about him." Rengoku shook his head while keeping his gaze fixed on the gigantic figure Kai was seated on.
Cious Vrian, the top genius of the Titanium Giant Clan. They knew very little about him since he had only just risen a few years ago. But rumors said that based on pure physical strength, he could match the Titanium Giant Clan’s leader.
These were massive shoes to fill, but rumors are not born from unfounded information. Him teaming up with Kai Loxin was going to be a problem.
"Aiii, I’m too damn blind for this," Elder Black Wing muttered before shaking his head. "However, I don’t think they are the ones you should be worried about."
He added with a big sigh before looking towards the sky in the direction of Griffin City.
Tracing his eyes, Rengoku noticed several figures flying towards them at a graceful but fast pace.
"Thane," Kang’s voice became solemn as he watched those figures slowly land behind a patch of tall grasses.
"Greetings, Sky Sovereign," the three Robins at the very front of the group bowed to Thane and his entourage even before they emerged.
Despite his young age, Thane was their master. The most cruel one at that.
"Hmm?" Those who hadn’t noticed began to focus on the tall patch of grass as a squad of figures in golden armor made their way out and into view.
Naturally, the Royal Walkway was open to young talents, including those of the Golden Griffin Clan. It was their treasured phenomenon, after all.
"Don’t tell me he will be participating," one of the clansmen from the myriad clans asked with a look of dismay and fear, He was part of those participating, so it made sense for him to worry.
Because Thane, a Level 5 existence, was right there, pretending to be a part of the younger generation.
But was he truly pretending? He was of the same generation as Kang, after all. But him participating would completely destroy the essence of the challenge since he could easily win.
"No, he won’t," Kang spoke. He knew Thane, and there was no one more prideful than him. That was saying a lot coming from Kang.
"That won’t make things any easier for you lot," Thane said, smirking at Kang. The men behind him were trained specifically for this event.
He picked them specifically because they resembled him: hardcore, relentless, and utterly ruthless to those around them and even themselves. If they had to die to secure victory, they would lay down their lives, as long as the winner was one of them.
This was what Thane’s training had made them into; they were inhuman.
"I don’t doubt it," Kang replied before turning to face the bottomless edge. He could feel the wind pushing against his skin as the clouds below parted.
It was about to start.
"Oh, Rocs of Royal Majesty, keepers of the Sky, World-Sundering, Heaven-Thundering. We call forth your divine might today…"
In the skies of Griffin City, Ziaman stood majestically in the air.
".the Path of Heaven, the Path to Grace… bring forth today, a grand Race… I, Ziaman the First, summon the Royal Walkway."
As he finished speaking, a bright purple light burst through the space above him, and all of a sudden, Roc creatures of massive proportions began to fly from within the light.
Their wings were massive, and their very presence shook the residents of the city to their core. Rocs. It was happening all over again.
Though unlike last time, this was more controlled with members of the Tower Guard floating in the sky, guarding the citizens. The magnificent creatures seemed less bothered, though, as they flew in a straight line downwards.
They were leaving Griffin’s Peak and, as scheduled, were doing so in the direction of the myriad clans.
"Ready yourselves, boys."
The Supreme Leader’s voice sounded as he stood before his disciples. The giant Rocs soon passed through Griffin City and arrived right in front of them.
Then, in the next minute, they dipped, taking a nosedive down Griffin’s Peak.
Seeing this, Thane smiled with nostalgia as he slowly opened his mouth.
"You may begin."
Just as he did—
"Boom!!"
All the participants followed the Rocs, jumping down Griffin’s Peak with no regard for themselves or their lives.
To attain power, one must risk his life. That was a universal rule.
