Seven months after the declaration of the seven apostles of the black river, 70% of the undergod territory’s land had been cleared of sky palace influence thoroughly.

This of course was a massive feat that could only be accomplished by overwhelming force and numbers. They had the warlocks to thank for that, their hatred of the mages of sky palace was their main drive.

And of course gold.

But with the conquest and gradual push back from the undergod territory’s alliance . Sky palace was able to retreat and concentrate its main forces in key regions facing their boarders.

This meant that even though it took just 7 months to clear more than half the territory, it would take much longer to sieze even an inch the deeper they went.

This was the true phase of the war

"Hmmm, that’s the Apostle of the wave" from atop a crappy looking carriage heading down a snowy road, a bald man In a leather jacket that touched his ankles spoke blowing out a puff of smoke, a clear indication of the cold weather.

In the far distance behind them, a loud earth shaking sound erupted blasting all the way into their eardrums. They were about 150kilometers away from the source but yet the sound of that blast still hit their ears?

This was a testament to the power of this Apostle of the wave. If not a transcendent being what else could this kind of power represent? This also meant that the war had truly gotten serious for an Apostle to be taking action.

"Hopefully this is enough to draw out majority of the lords" the bald man muttered as he looked far into the distance at a snowy peak far away.

To cross into the central region, there was only one pathway left by the people who created the wall. It was a narrow pathway called the "needles eye".

This "needles eye" was situated right inside of sky palace. Or you could say, Sky palace was built around the needles eye.

They were its protectors and a blight to those who sought to cross, stopping hundreds from passing through for over several millinia. This was their mission granted to them by the Human emperor.

Unfortunately, he needed to pass through and this was his only option. So he and his masters had decided to kill two birds with one stone. They would launch this war and create a scene during the finally moments of the it forcing the lords to abondon their halls and come to the rescue.

This would allow him to sneak through without anyone stopping him.

It was easier said than done though.

The lords of sky palace weren’t known for steppping out of their comfort zone to help anyone, including their people.

"Sigh what a hassle" The bald man looked to the wall. He needed to get back and would do anything to do so.

"Leon head down"

Meanwhile at the front of the carriage a female voice sounded softly as she rode atop a white horse infront of the carriage.

Upon hearing her warning, the young man beside her in a Bambo hat pulled down the hat subtly covering his ether consecrated eyes.

Right beside them riding at an astronomical speed was a human mage party fully equipped for a battle zooming towards the battle zone.

Sky palace was sending men relentlessly towards the undergod territory to help protect their ’interests’ even though it was not their territory apparently they still had something of a right in it.

"Hehe, thanks I didn’t notice" Leon said with a calm smile on his face while looking at Arian. His intentions seemed mixed but partly a joking expression and partly a lustful one.

He could remember how they met, she was always so cold and unresponsive to whatever he said. That was until he saved her life a couple time and now? She acted with care for him.

He had melted her icy cold heart and he knew it.

"Stop looking at me like that or I’ll turn this carriage around" Arian said with a bit of a red blush on her cheeks. He was acting like a typical male when they want the forbidden fruits.

"Cough cough, don’t let Ember hear" Leon said with a cough to mask his words.

"What do you not want me to hear?" Ember immediately stuck her head out of the carriage and stared Leon down.

"Ehnnn nothing, focus on your practice" Leon felt a cold stare behind him and said coyly

"Hmmm" Ember of course still remained suspicious before receding back into the carriage slowly. She would keep her eyes glued on these two.

And so they continued their journey down the road eventually entering Sky palace territory and making a beeline towards sky palace itself.

However, fate had other plans for them as not long after they entered sky palace territory, they were besieged by a massive snow storm that covered them in cold snow particles.

They could see what was infront of them talk less continuing the journey so they eventually decided on finding a place to stay.

Luckily, right below the mountain pass there was a small town situated with a massive burning fire in the middle of it.

"It’s better we take a rest there, we will continue on the journey when the storm settles down" the lightening monk suggested.

Actually, he could probably go through this snow storm by himself and would feel little to no impediments. But Leon here was a warlock of the serpentine variety, he and his little lady friends would probably face a lot of difficulty.

"Okay that makes sense, we will get an inn in the town so we can rest and continue the journey later" Leon nodded.

He wasn’t particularly cold, but he also understood that there was a lot of danger that could be attributed to walking through a snow storm.

A night in a town inn would be nice, it would allow him some private time with the ladies even.
