Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity-Chapter 312: I’m Afraid I must insist
"Stay your hand!"
A deep, earth-shaking voice resounded in Ember’s ear, causing her to flinch and the apparition behind her to completely vanish in an instant.
She frowned for a second and briefly turned to Leon with vexation stirring in her heart.
To the outside world, nothing had happened. In fact, the change from enraged and maddened to calm and indignant was like an instant shift from day to night.
This was because none of them heard that shout. Leon had used the power that linked himself, Arian, and Ember to completely disable her.
"Sigh," beside Leon, Arian sighed, looking at the painted face filled with suspense.
He was clearly angry that Ember had shown that to the public, but he was able to mask it so as not to draw attention to himself.
"Watch yourself, bitch. Next time, you won’t be so lucky," Ember sneered at Zysera and immediately walked off stage, no longer willing to fight.
But ultimately, she had won because as soon as she got back to where Arian was, she received invitations from the other halls,
making it so that she had been invited by every single hall in Sky Palace.
If Zysera was jealous of Arian before, she must be green now because Ember had attained that and more.
"A shame," at the City Lord’s desk, Dorgonodo smiled bitterly. If he had known this girl had a king-class elemental embodiment, he would have recruited her despite his daughter’s disagreement.
However, now that she had received invitations from the halls of Sky Palace, it was already a done deal. He wouldn’t even dare poach from them.
"Let the competition go on," he raised his hand in the air and commanded, and so it was.
The competition continued with several powerful fighters going on stage and proving their worthiness. But from beginning to end, no one could give quite the impression of impending doom like the fight between Ember and Zysera.
And they never would see such a situation throughout the entire thing as Ember no longer competed, and not surprisingly, Zysera came out as the overall winner.
However, she still wasn’t satisfied receiving the glory, as it felt deep down that she had lost a long time ago.
But what could she do?
Leon and the rest left just after they won.
…
In the woods outside of Sky City, several individuals could be seen making their way down a path covered in bushes, shrubs, and trees.
"We are glad you guys chose the path of knowledge. Don’t listen to what the others say; they are ignorant of how the world actually works,"
a rather old man with wrinkly hands said as he walked beside two young ladies with calm looks on their faces.
These two were, of course, Arian and Ember.
Just as the match was rounding up, Leon decided it was time for them to leave for Sky Palace, and surprisingly, he had chosen none other than the Hall of Knowledge.
He had his reasons, of course, as what they were going to attempt today would bring a lot of trouble, especially to the hall responsible for bringing them over.
He didn’t want to implicate Carlson and his people.
"We have always sought the way of knowledge. These other things are only secondary to us," Arian buttered the old man up as they approached a massive gate that towered into the clouds above.
Sky Palace walls.
"So this is the place. You can go say goodbye to your friends now so we can proceed into the Palace," the older man said calmly with a benevolent look on his face.
Apparently, the two girls were married to the clown that had been walking behind them all this while. It was a bit disgraceful, but what could they do? He was lucky.
"Thank you," Ember bowed and walked back towards where Leon was standing with Ni’an alongside Arian.
"Are you all ready?" Arian asked, looking at Leon, Ni’an, and the other monks donned in their traditional robes.
"Yes. Are you sure you won’t enter my gate, Ember?" Leon nodded, then panned his head to Ember and inquired.
In a few minutes, things would go from zero to a hundred, and after that, there would be no going back. Ember was still lacking compared to everyone here in terms of experience.

It was best she stay in Badur’s gate.
"I’m sure. Stop babying me," Ember huffed at Leon, then took in a large breath of air. Her heart was pounding; there would definitely be people here who wouldn’t make it to the other side.
But if she didn’t show Leon that she was competent, he might never respect her the way he did Arian.
"Okay." Leon nodded, turned to Ni’an, who had a prayer bead in his hand, and walked toward the old man from the Hall of Knowledge.
"Good sir, please, can I have a moment with you?" Leon said quite sheepishly as he approached the man.
"Hm? What do you want?" the old man asked, looking at Leon’s painted face with impatience.
He understood how difficult it was to lose such beautiful wives, but the kid didn’t need to be so whiny. In the pursuit of knowledge, what was a little bit of sacrifice?
"It’s not something serious…I just want to see how the inside of Sky Palace looks. At least I will be able to picture where my wives are, even if I don’t see them ever again," Leon said with a look of sadness on his face.
"I’m afraid that’s impossible. Non-members are not allowed into Sky Palace. Please don’t repeat such a request to anyone, lest they kill you where you stand!" the old man fumed, pointing at Leon furiously.
What did he think this was? A tourist site? Allowing him to come this distance to the gate was on its own a sin. How dare he ask for something more?
"Ahh, I see." Leon pulled back, straightening his back as he looked at the old man mockingly.
"But I’m afraid I must insist," Leon said, his eyes burning through the lenses that covered them and revealing the trace of ether within them.
