"No going back now" Ni’ans voice resounded next to Leon as he breezed past him in a flash waking towards the iron gate in front with large strides.

Under Leon’s feet, the old man from the hall of knowledge laid dead, his body drained of life and his soul missing.

Leon had killing him body and soul.

"Naturally" Leon smirked wrapping his robe around as he walked towards the gate also, seemingly not caring for the life he had just taken…

He had chosen to go with the hall of knowledge because they were the hall least paid attention to in the palace and their representatives were fairly weak. Killing this old man was insanely easy.

Not only that, the pathway to their side of the palace Was the least guarded.

As both of the approached the gate, a dark cloud soon startled to overwhelm the palace blocking the rays of light from the sun slowly.

A sudden storm cloud.

"Hand of god" Ni’an pulled back his hand and struck outwards and at the same time a bolt of lightening struck down releasing a thunderous roar that completely overshadowed the sound of the gate being caved in.

"Go!!!"

Seeing the gate fall Ni’an barked at the his eyes firm with determination. They were going to cross the needles eye today no matter the cost.

In that moment, 9 individuals barged into sky palace, a feat that had not been accomplished in over 6 milinia. And one of them was a filthy Warlock.

This would be the worst day in their rescans history

"Hm? What’s with the sudden rain?" Inside of sky palace one of the many members of sky palace stretched his hand out feeling the rain dripping onto his hand.

"How I am supposed to know?" Beside him another resopnded hold up a book as he immersed himself in the knowledge within.

What did he care for whether it rained or not? He wasn’t god nor was he a farmer. Rain was of no consequence to him.

However, he soon felt a drift around his leg causing him to raise his eyebrow and look downwards

His robe was wet and submerged underwater…the push and pull resembling that of a wave.

"It’s flooding?" He asked feeling a little out of place at that moment.

This was sky palace, the strongest entity in the three regions, the resources were second to none in the region and so was their technology and knowledge. when had they ever been besieged by flooding?

He couldn’t wrap his head around it

Unknown to them, in a particular corner shrouded in a dark glow, a giant gate could be seen pumping a large amount of water from within directly into Sky palace.

This ’flood’ was engineered.

"Good" Ni’an nodded as they ran down the paved streets of sky palace.

Distractions.

They needed a lot of distraction, at least till they got half way. Thank goodness for Leon ingenuity. He had placed one end of his gate in the sea beside Sky city and the other directly inside of sky palace.

Right now, it was pumping a bountiful amount of sea water into the place and if not found on time could probably drown the entire sky palace

If they didn’t act fast, Sky palace would soon be overrun by flooding and even sea creatures.

They would be too busy trying to solve that one problem and might not even notice them till it was too late.

"Hm" Leon nodded as they ran on the ground. He then panned his head towards a mighty wall standing at the other end of sky palace.

This one was much more different from the one outside, it stretched far above the sky. A structure much taller than griffin’s peak.

Standing for milinias, it was a symbol of insurmountable power and untouchable strength.

The Wall

The thing that divided the three regions from the bountiful treasures in the central continent.

(We just need to pass that crack then we’ll be home free)

Leon thought in his mind.

Altor had handed over to him the Map to several inheritances in the central continent, his first major clue to his goal was just behind that crack in the wall.

There was a barely visible crack in the middle of the wall, from here, it looked too small for human passage as it looked more likely for a needle to go throw than anything else.

This was their destination, the needles eye.

"Hm? We’ll be spotted soon"

All of a sudden, one of Ni’ans fellow disciples said annoyingly looking to the left.

There, a troop of sky palace guards could be seen rushing towards the gate they had just blown wide open. If they saw it, they would definitely raise an alarm

"Don’t bother yourself with that, Windle will handle that" Ni’an said focusing fully on making it half way.

It didn’t matter to him whether they got caught or not. In fact it was expected, however, he had a plan. As long as they could maintain this pace till half way, they could fight their way through.

"At least I don’t need to go with them"

A monk spoke at the gate as he hide within the shadows waiting for the next guard troop.

His job was to make sure that the news of the fall of this particular gate remained a secret as long as it could. He would buy time for them, then if things went sideways he would just leave and head back to the monestary.

It was a good deal if you asked him.

As the first troop of guards approached, he stepped out of the shadows and waved his cloak turning it into a blanket that floated over head.

They didn’t even notice it until it was over their heads and like an all consuming black hole, it swallowed them whole without struggle.

One moment they were there and the next they were gone from existence.

The ways of the undergod monestary was mysterious and unique even till this day. Most didn’t know what they were cable of since they stayed out of conflicts half the time.

If not, they wouldn’t mess with them so lightly.

"Back" After watching the Cloak devour them he smiled and called it back into his sleeve.

This was a sacred treasure of the monestary, one that had been there in the monestary long before his birth and would be there long after him. It had a myriad of uses even going as far as facilitating his escape also. It was truly powerful.

Not wanting to draw attention, he melded back into the shadows and whispered to himself.

"Good luck guys"

Killing an entire troop would definitely be noticed soon—

They had at most 15 mintues or less

But unfortunately, it was much lesser that they thought because just as he melded into the dark a hand pressed upon his shoulder as peer of eyes engulfed in a burning flame looked down at him.

He had been caught by someone strong.

"High alert, Intruders!!!"

Soon after a guard atop the palace wall shouted at the top of his lungs pointing directly at Leon and the rest as they made their way forward.

"Shit" Leon cursed, they weren’t even half way through, but they had been spotted already? Things were going sideways to early.

The guy they left at the gate had definitely been caught.

"Game time, don’t hold back" looking to the side, several troops of sky palace members could be seen flying towards them as high speeds.

Ni’an wasn’t worried about any of this, his mind was firmly focused on the needles eye. Anything that tried to stop him would be destroyed.

"Yes boss!!" The monks behind them started pulling out prayer heads, Mats and staffs. They were ready to fight.

Seeing the monks without the slightest bit of panic, Leon felt a bit out of place .

These guys who seemed so unwilling to do anything half the time were completely locked in. They were already in the thick of it, what other options did they have other than to go all out?

"Hehe, I’ve been too cautious of late" Leon smiled.

He had been too focused on schemes and calculations, Seeing them go sideways made him panic. But these things were really not in his power, so what things didn’t go as planned?

Was he going to get a do over? Of course not!!

Pulling out an ordinary dagger from its sheath, Leon smiled then took off his robes revealing a red amour that glowed with a murderous light.

This was going to be an incredibly hard fight, but there was no going back now.

They could only fight.

"Capture them!!"

The sky palace members shouted rage filled in their hearts as they launched themselves at Leon’s group. In several milinia no one had been able to cross the needles eye.

If it happened on their watch, it would be a great sin to their predecessors or their descendants.

They had to stop them from reaching the needles eye.

Even if it costs them their lives.
