Manaless Mage-Chapter 263: You’ve already lost
Chapter 263: You’ve already lost
Though the situation was confusing was most of the people in the dome, Harry perfectly understood what really happened.
’He used his time element... he froze time... yet he was left in this state?’ He thought, feeling a cold chill run down his spine.
He had always thought that Leon was invincible with the power to control time.
No matter the opponents he was up against... Leon always took them down within a second.
It was like one second, there was the enemy, and in the next, they laid dead beside Leon.
Though he knew it was due to the power of time element, it was still so insane to witness.
Apart from that, Leon wasn’t weak in anyway... even if his time powers were taken out of the equation.
His fire and light powers were not little in any way, as he even greatly surpassed him who was a pure fire mage when it came to firepower.
To see someone like that lying half-dead on the ground, came as a huge shock to him.
However, it also made him understand how powerful those celestials were... especially that one cloaked in dark shadows.
’L-Leon... is this why... you told us to stay back?’ Harry thought, tightly clenching his fists in annoyance.
To think Leon faced those monsters alone, and because he was too weak... he couldn’t do anything except stand at the sidelines.
’How pathetic...’ He thought, turning his head to the ground in shame. ’I really am the most useless friend.’
Meanwhile, Leon coughed out blood again as he laid on the ground.
He tried standing back up, however, he stumbled back to the floor almost immediately.
His energy reserves were already very low... he was already expending too much energy in keeping in heart from stopping, as well as keeping that dome protecting the others.
’I can’t muster any more strength... unless...’ Leon thought, gritting his teeth in frustration.
"To think a god of water died just like that... how pathetic." Orthon muttered, his head turning to the direction Cierla was.
He could no longer sense her life force, so it was clear she was already dead. Apart from that, he watched exactly how Leon killed her, all the while waiting for the perfect time to strike.
To him, anyone who seemed like they would cause trouble for him deserved to be eliminated.
It didn’t matter if it would happen a thousand years from now, or there was only a one percent probability of something like that happening... he would make sure to kill them.
It was just a price he had to pay... in order to preserve the peace of mind he loved so much.
’I’m done here... I’ll leave now.’ He mumbled inwardly, letting out a light yawn.
The shadows around his body rapidly wavered, their dark tendrils flickering as they gently moved his body forward.
"S-stop there!" Leon suddenly called, causing his brows to raise in surprise.
"Y-you... think you can just leave...?" He muttered, tightly clutching his bleeding chest with his left hand.
"You think you can come into my world... act anyhow you wish... and I’ll just let you leave...?" He muttered, letting out a dry chuckle.
"Hmm... you aren’t dead yet. Impressive I must say." Orthon mumbled, placing one hand on his chin.
’I won’t let this end like this! I won’t just die!’ Leon thought, clenching his other hand into a tight fist. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
Suddenly, the thin dome protecting Harry and the others vanished into thin air, and a powerful burst of energy immediately exploded from Leon, radiating outward like a shockwave.
’I didn’t think he’ll actually abandon them at the end!’ Vordmont thought, his eyes widened in shock at what he was seeing.
With his current condition, he would surely die if Leon managed to launch one more attack on him!
Orthon’s eyes also narrowed at Leon, however, his expression remained calm.
As for Leon, he hurriedly channeled his energy in a bid to unleash one last skill, and turn the tides to his favour.
But due to the grave wound in his heart, an activation that would usually happen immediately now needed a few seconds.
At first, he was planning to protect the others while fighting the celestials alone.
However, with the appearance of Orthon, he was forced to change his mind. If he died now, then there was no telling the horror that would befall this world.
If something like that happened, then all his efforts to protect them had been for nothing!
His energy was already running low during the fight with Vordmont, which was why he made sure to end the fight early.
With him now on verge of death, he couldn’t continue managing the little energy he had left. He had other choice than to take down the dome, using the energy for himself instead.
’Time rewind!’ He thought, and a giant green clock immediately appeared behind him, sending out a powerful green light into the air.
The hands on the clock rapidly reversed, and a thin wave of green energy bursted out it, enveloping everything within its path.
Swoosh!!
However, an even more powerful wave suddenly bursted out from the other end, violently clashing with Leon’s energy.
’What?!’ Leon thought, his eyes widening in shock.
Blitz!
Bright green sparks flickered violently around the air, and a powerful green wave rose up into the air.
"Hahaha!" A loud laugh echoed above Leon, causing his gaze to tremble in horror.
Crack!
A large clock suddenly materialised in the air, revealing the figure of a grey haired man with bright green eyes.
"I knew it!" He shouted, his eyes shining with excitement. "Of course you’re going use it... at the end of the day, you really are just like me."
"Kronos!!" Leon shouted, gnashing his teeth in anger as he stared at the man.
"Hehe... you already lost, manaless mage." Kronos said, stretching his hand to the side.
