Ashton sat back down and stared calmly at the Sage, who was patiently waiting for his response.

"He is half a god?" Stefan, still stunned, inquired. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

"He is half god but not half mage? That explains his power." Katherine muttered, her eyes darting around in wonder.

"His mother is the ice goddess who had a love affair with an ice dragon. His godly powers cannot protect him from the tyrannical instincts he harbors in his demonic state because, he is already tyrannical and filled with darkness in his dark state." Ashton explained bluntly, his gaze fixed on Sage, who fixed hers on him. He was impressed and a little intimidated.

"What happens when his dark and demonic states combine?" Sage inquired, her eyes twinkling with sudden impatience, piqued Ashton’s interest.

"Chaos and destruction. The first time this happened, he nearly killed River and severely injured his sister; since then, it has never happened again, and I hope it never does." As that memory flashed through his mind, Ashton stood up and shook his head. "Truthfully, I regret giving him my blood, but there was no other option and it was a life-or-death situation."

"I see what you are saying. I just want to comprehend his states." Sage’s voice was strong and authoritative, and her gaze was intense. Her tone indicated that she was not asking him questions in order to receive a joke in return, but that she was serious.

Ashton mockingly smirked. "Why? It is not possible to return him to his normal state, especially since Snowflake is recovering."

Sage’s lips twitched. "His normal state is the true Cyrus, his dark state is a shield created by his guardian beasts, and his demonic state was created by you, except he acts more like the devil in that state." Ashton was even more impressed when she noticed that the parrot wasn’t going to be a crybaby as time passed.

"You are correct, but what are you getting at?" Carressing his chin, he inquired.

"I discovered while soulbonded with Cyrus that his dark and demonic states merged to plan the demise of his normal state. His dark state’s goal is to take my fire core, but strangely, his demonic state just wants me dead without taking anything from me, but aside from my fire core, there is something big going on that is connected to the demise ice dragons." Sage took her time speaking, and Ashton nodded at every word she said, while Stefan and Katherine looked stunned.

Ashton’s mocking smile widened. "The Shadow dragons did not..."

"I didn’t say they did. I just want you to tell me how to restore Cyrus’ normal state." Sage abruptly cut him off.

"What makes you think I know?" Ashton inquired, deception in his eyes.

"Because you do, but you don’t want his normal state to return because you really want him to have my fire core."

"Yes and no, Cyrus’ parrot," Ashton said with a chuckle and a wink. "You see, Cyrus’ goal has always been to have your life force, until he fell in love with you, and even his dark state has fallen in love with you, but now that he doesn’t want to kill you anymore, I can’t do anything because it’s his decision, but you should know that nothing will change and he will kill you on his birthday."

"Cyrus stated that his normal state will be the one to kill me, implying that he wishes for me to restore his normal state." Sage stood firm in her statements.

"And how are you going to accomplish that?" Ashton raised a brow and Sage scoff.

"I will make certain he transforms into his dragon form." Sage responded with a confident yet wicked smile on her lips.

Ashton’s eyes widened in surprise. "Do you understand what you are saying?"

"That is the only way his normal state can be fully restored." Sage gave a tsk and crossed her arms across her chest.

Ashton let out a deep sigh and lowered his head. "Cyrus is unable to transform. He possesses three souls."

"Does that mean he has never fully shifted?" Sage’s pupils dilated. Wasn’t it impossible? She had seen his powerful wings, so he could transform, right?

"A being with three souls cannot shift, and if he does, don’t you think it will cause chaos if he transforms into an ice dragon with royal demon blood?" Ashton inquired, raising his gaze.

"I believe he is the same person; it is only his demonic state that is deviant." Sage stood firm in her convictions.

Ashton scoffed in shock. "How can you have such faith in him?" He had to inquire.

"Because I believe if I were in his shoes, he would do the same for me." Sage sighed as she whispered.

She had to force him to transform without triggering his demonic state. His dark and demonic states were capable of merging, and they could do so if he transformed, which was why she needed to proceed with caution.

"However, not too slowly." She exhaled and turned to face Stefan and Katherine, who are both completely taken aback.

"You are just as reckless as he is." Ashton mumbled to her hearing, smiling and shaking her head.

"And you are concerned about him." She laughed as she walked out of the sitting room.

Ashton chuckled and sat back down on the couch, one leg on top of the other. His smile had vanished, and his gaze had hardened. "We have to stop her from her plans of bringing back his normal state."

"And how come?" Katherine was even more perplexed than she was before.

"Two very important things will happen, water mage," Ashton said as he leaned back on the couch, clutching his chin. "One, Cyrus will end up killing his beloved and will regret it for the rest of his life, leading to him destroying Antica. Two, there is a 99.9 percent chance that his demonic state will take over."

Stefan sighed and rolled his eyes. "You are spilling the negative facts." Snarling, he shook his head. "I also believe that if Cyrus returns to normal, he will seal his demonic state from ever resurfacing."
