Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 218: Teasing
Ashton’s mood dropped. "I am not willing to take that risk!" he yelled, standing up and glaring angrily at the demon. "Do you know how many lives would be lost if he loses her?!"
Stefan sighed deeply and rubbed his chin. "Calm do..."
"No, no, I am just trying to make you understand here." In between his rage, Ashton laughed. "Do you know what he went through when his parents died? Do you know how he felt when the ice dragons were all wiped out? He has a large scar that that fire mage is healing, and if he loses her, another scar will appear that will be impossible to heal!"
"Ashton!" Stefan yelled and placed his hands on the demon’s shoulder, gently shaking him to calm him down.
Katherine couldn’t believe what she was hearing, and her hatred for the ice dragon had vanished in large part. Seeing Ashton in this state made her realize how much the demon cared about Cyrus and how much he had been through.
"Calm down." Stefan spoke softly to Ashton, who clenched his teeth and closed his eyes, groaning.
"Fuck! Do you really believe Cyrus was born with a frozen heart in both his normal and dark states? That moron built that ice around his heart unconsciously, and his dark state, as his shield, built an eternally frozen heart." Ashton pushed Stefan away and leaned back on the couch, closing his eyes. "Do not bother me." He muttered.
"Ashton." Stefan sighed deeply and looked at Katherine. "Find Sage and stick close to her at all times." He told her, and she nodded slowly before walking out of the room.
Stefan tucked his hands into his pockets and stared softly at the demon. He realized why Ashton was so devoted to Cyrus. He did this because he didn’t want Cyrus to feel alone in the world.
"You shouldn’t be concerned about him in this way; he’s an adult." Stefan stated flatly.
"Just because you are a decade older than him doesn’t make you any less my child, Stefan Adrelean." Ashton, who had calmed down considerably, said and raised his hand to his face.
Stefan lowered his head and smiled faintly. "You know, I saw the queen once, and she and my mother were actually quite close. She was breathtakingly beautiful. I had no idea she was the ice goddess."
"Is." In their demon form, Ashton’s eyes flew open.
"What?" Stefan inquired, perplexed.
"She is the ice goddess, and she is only barely alive." Ashton’s claws erupted, and he fixed his gaze on Stefan.
Stefan’s eyes widened in surprise, and Ashton couldn’t help but smile. "What a stupid lord. Antica will crumble if the ice goddess dies, but as I previously stated, she is barely alive."
"Wait, what happened?" Stefan stumbled, but Ashton turned away and closed his eyes, causing Stefan to frown.
"Are you willing to give up your life for him?" Stefan grimaced, and Ashton, who hadn’t expected that question, jumped out of the couch, his eyes wide open, fixed on Stefan.
"Do I hear jealousy?" With a teasing smile, Ashton asked, then crossed the distance between them, leaning in close to Lord’s face.
"Why should I be envious?" Stefan muttered.
"Ugh! The deception." Ashton rolled his eyes and smacked his lips against Stefan’s, catching his upper lip between his teeth and slowly sucking.
Stefan’s eyes widened in surprise, and he froze as his body was immediately swallowed with a burning sensation.
When he heard the demon’s throat erupt in deep laughter, he gasped and moved away, breaking the kiss. "What in the world are you doing?" He exclaimed in disbelief.
Ashton smirked slyly. "I am teasing you, righteous lord Stefan,"
Stefan couldn’t believe what he was hearing and frowned deeply. "Are you kidding me?" He didn’t try to hide his irritation.
Ashton looked puzzled.
"If you are only kissing me to tease me, don’t kiss me at all." Stefan warned, then walked out of the room, leaving Ashton amused. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

Sage was about to return to her room in the hallway leading to the rooms after climbing the stairs when she noticed Snowflake walking towards her with a glum expression.
"Snow?" She called, but the nine-tailed fox walked down the stairs as if she wasn’t even there, his tails swaying proudly.
"Snow!" She called again, sprinting after him, and as she got closer, she slowed down and began following the nine-tailed fox slowly.
The mansion was massive, with every corner gleaming beautifully, and she was certain that many warriors lived there. Unbeknownst to her, there were shadows lurking around her head.
Soon after, she noticed that the nine-tailed fox was leading her to a section of the mansion she had never seen before.
They arrived in a dim hallway, and as they walked, it became dimmer and dimmer until she came across a very ancient hallway lit only by fire torches.
"Snow!" She called, hoping the fox wouldn’t walk any further, but as soon as she called his name, he walked into the hallway and vanished into thin air.
"What the hell?! Snow!" Sage’s eyes widened in surprise, and her heart almost leapt out of her chest as she watched the nine-tailed fox vanish.
Without thinking, she dashed into the hallway and vanished, appearing in front of a large lake that was glowing brightly in ice blue color.
Her gaze was drawn to the waterfall ahead, which was also glowing magically. The setting was in the middle of a forest, with trees with green leaves she had never seen before, and fresh green grass beneath her feet. Fresh wind of the alluring cool night blew through her hair as her eyes scanned the area, realizing she was no longer in the mansion anymore, she wasn’t even sure she was alive anymore because there was no sign of ice or snow, not even a speck.
