Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 120: Just a friend
Olivia walked into the dressing room, her section of the dressing room and she found a dress there. It was a beautiful one, he got her a dress?
She held the dress and brought it with her back to the room.
"You got me a dress, what is the occasion?" she inquired.
"My mom’s 60th birthday is coming pretty soon. Didn’t you know?" Leo asked.
Right?
Hah! Of course, what was she thinking? Why would he just buy her a dress out of the blue?
"No," she answered.
"Well now you know. My mom wants to have a big party," he replied.
She nodded and returned the dress to the dressing room.

The next day, Mrs Elizabeth was finally laid to rest. Family and friends, all dressed in black, stood by the grave in the cemetery as they payed their last respect- Tossing white roses of farewell into the grave with the priest voice still in the background as he continued with the burial rites.
After everything, everyone slowly but started to walk away after giving Davian and Silvia their heartfelt condolences.
Davian remained there, besides his mother’s grave for some while. To be sincere, he still can’t believe that this is happening, that this had happened.
Silvia squatted in front of him when she saw him trembling as he sobbed. She had a pained look on her face too. But... just when will Davian get over this?
"Davian...are you still feeling self guilty about this?" she inquired.
"I can’t help it. Maybe if I had insisted more on her not coming along with me to the tower hotel for your birthday, then maybe...just maybe she might still be alive," Davian replied.
"Davian... you couldn’t have known. Stop blaming yourself, we will catch whoever is responsible for this and make them pay," she replied and hugged him.
Well, whenever the time will be...she will be right here to comfort him always and help him get through this.
After a couple of days more, Silvia finally started going to work again.
That day after work, as usual she walked out of Reyes’ Corp to get into her car which Noah had already brought to the entrance.
"Hi Silvia," she heard Oscar’s voice and when she turned towards the direction the voice came from, she saw Oscar Mayer walking towards her from the parking lot, where he must have obviously parked his car.
"Hi," he repeated, smiling at her once he got to where she was.
"Hi," she responded, "What are you doing here?"
"Well, it really isn’t so hard to find the Reyes’ Corp. Well, I wanted to see if I could take you out for dinner, just dinner," he responded.
"Well, I can’t today," she replied.
"Oh, what about tomorrow then? I just wanted to catch up on old times. Can I have your number? Your husband prevented me from having it last time," Oscar continued.
"Fine, but tomorrow won’t work also. I’m married now so...I can’t always have dinner outside with someone else, I also prefer having it with my husband anyways," she found herself monologuing.
"Hmm," Oscar responded.
"Well, I will inform you if I’m free. For the meantime, hand me your phone so that I can type in my number," she instructed and he did just that.
He smiled at her in that short moment when she engrossed herself in typing her number in. This woman was still so beautiful, in fact even more beautiful. His smile broadened, it was still there even when she finally handed him the phone.
She bid him good bye and left.
She finally agreed to the dinner after a few days later. On that day, Silvia texted Davian that she will be coming home a little later, he didn’t text back.
Oscar and her soon sat at a fancy restaurant, they made their orders and it was brought to them soon.
"So how have you been Silvia?" Oscar asked, when they were half way between their meals.
"I have been fine," she replied. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"I still just can’t believe that Silvia Reyes is off the market," he mentioned and chuckled a little.
"Hmm," Silvia just nodded.
"Did you...did you marry him a cripple?" Oscar asked and it made Silvia to halt in her movements.
She finally stared up at him, "No and he is not a cripple, this is just temporary. It was an accident that occurred recently. I, him and his mother were all victims of the accident. I didn’t sustain much several injuries but Davian did and his mother lost her life to it,"
"I’m...so sorry for bringing it up," he responded. His hand went to hers on the table.
"Is there any way I can help-"
"No, it’s fine." she responded, removing her hand from his.
There was silence. But they definitely continued talking again after some while and the air was soon cleared as they talked about random stuffs and even about their college days.
"Hmm, let’s do this again Silvia," Oscar suggested when they were preparing to leave.
"Okay." she agreed with a nod. It wasn’t that bad and it helped to give her a few minutes away from her grief. She had spent a few times with Mrs Elizabeth and she wished she had made more time to spend more.
She will hold those few memories with her, so dear.
"Welcome back," Davian welcomed her once she arrived home.
"Hmm thanks," she responded.
"So how was work?" he asked.
"It was fine," she replied.
"Silvia..." Davian continued after a short moment of silence.
"Who were you with?" he added.
"Just a friend," she answered.
"Just a friend...Does this Friend happen to be that Oscar guy?" he questioned.
"Davian it was just dinner. Let’s not do this, it will just upset us both," she responded.
"Have you had dinner yet?" she inquired.
"No, I was... waiting for you," he answered.
"Awwn that’s so sweet of you but I had already told you I will be coming home a little late, you shouldn’t have. Let’s have something quick, okay?" she decided to have dinner again but with Davian, even though she was already full.
He nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Helen Yul’s birthday was far sooner than Olivia had thought. She soon found time to stop by the Yuls’ mansion to see her.
"Hi mother," Olivia started, she was getting really comfortable calling Mrs Helen ’mother’. Helen was the one who urged her to and now she has gotten so used to it.
"Welcome once again dear, would you like some tea?" Helen offered.
"Sure," Olivia proceeded in pouring some for herself, as Helen was already seated at a patio having tea, when Olivia arrived.
"Leo told me your birthday is coming up real soon and I’ll like to help out with the preparations in any way I can," Olivia began.
"That’s so sweet of you but I wouldn’t want to stress you out. You are in your second trimester," Helen worried.
Olivia smiled, "The fifth month to be precise,"
"Yes, your belly bump is finally showing up," Helen replied excitedly.
Olivia hands went to her stomach, it was true.
"Four months to go and I will be able to see my grandchild, I don’t want anything to happen to you both, all because you were trying to help me out. Besides it’s an event planner that will be handling everything," Helen continued.
"Okay. Is Colleen home?" Olivia asked, Colleen lives with her parents at the mansion.
"No. I’m glad you are asking after her," Helen answered.
Not like Olivia wants to, she couldn’t deny how relieved she was to hear that she wasn’t home. If she was, she’d already be throwing a fit not minding if Olivia was pregnant or not. It was making it even harder for her to visit the mansion, all because of her.
Well...she did say she would make her life a living hell, Olivia was just glad that it was only when they cross paths.
...
The party day was here already and it was truly a grand event.
"I am sixty now after all," Helen would say.
It was held at the mansion. Families, friends, business partners and well wishers were all over the place.
"Happy birthday mom," Leo told when he and Olivia got to where she was.
"Thank you son," Helen responded, with her was Colleen, his father and two other people.
"Happy birthday," Olivia uttered.
"Oh thank you so much dear," Helen replied.
As the party continued, Olivia decided to excuse herself to the bathroom. She walked up the stairs and then down the hallway, which was actually deserted of people, as she searched for the nearest restroom.
She began to hear a man’s voice when she approached a balcony.
The man was Gabriel Yul and he was talking to someone on the phone, yelling actually.
"Now listen to me you dinwit! This is the only chance I can get to become the CEO, it’s our company but the board of directors and share holders can still make decisions as long as it concerns the company.
"I have been planning this for a very long time now and I won’t let some idiot like you screw this up for me. The money we will use to frame my brother up is already ready, do as I say or you and your family gets it,"
Olivia couldn’t believe all that she was hearing, Gabriel was really planning something against his own brother.
