Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 150: Unfortunate circumstances

Fi managed to get up, though the whole place was smoky, foggy and falling apart, he could still tell that the ominous looking man was gone.

Fi struggled to get to the main restaurant, everywhere was scattered and bloodied, and there was so much noise from the outside surroundings as the people sort to help out.

"Someone call an ambulance!"

"Call the police!!"

Fi looked over where the Don was sitting and all he could see were blood and pieces of his clothes, flesh and body tissues.

He was unrecognizable because he was closer to the bomb.

Fi search for Cia and he found her soon, lying on the floor close to their table. She was covered in blood, Fi felt his heart starting to break into a million pieces. He fell on his knees and felt her pulse immediately.

He let out a sigh of relief, she was still alive. He carried her up in a bridal style and left the restaurant. He just went straight to his car at the parking lot not caring about the gazes of concern people showered on him and Cia.

They soon arrived at his house.

"What happened?" Caleb questioned worryingly.

"Call a doctor Caleb!" Fi ordered.

***Few hours later...

Both Fi and Cia were already all cleaned up. The doctor had attended to Cia first then Fi. Fortunately, they were but doing alright and didn’t sustain any internal injuries but ...

"I’m sorry Mr. Lee, but... She loss the baby."

Fi couldn’t believe what he was hearing, how the hell was he supposed to break this kind of news to Cia. That they wouldn’t be looking forward to seeing their baby anymore. How would he be able to live with the guilt that his baby died and the woman he loved almost died from the bomb he created with his own hands.

Fi was sitting on the bed close to an unconscious Cia, as he fell into these deep thoughts.

"Hmm," he heard her moan. His attention immediately shifted towards her.

"Cia," he uttered as she was beginning to wake up. Her hand went to her head and stomach.

"Ah, it hurts!" She cried. Her head was banging and her stomach hurt.

"Take it easy Cia," Fi urged. He gave her the drugs and supplements the doctor gave to him to give to her.

"You will be fine now, just try to relax okay?" He pleaded and she nodded.

"I’ll be back-"

"Wait!" Cia grabbed his arm as he was about to leave. "How’s our baby Fi?" There was tears in her eyes as she pleaded for an answer from him.

Fi sighed then smiled, he will just tell her the truth once she’s better.

He kissed her forehead, "Don’t worry my love, our baby is doing alright. Just get some rest okay?"

She nodded her head and Fi left.

When he got to the study where Caleb was, he squeezed on his hair and groaned loudly.

Caleb walked towards him, his hand fell on his shoulder, "Don’t be too hard on yourself. It wasn’t your fault-"

"No it is Caleb. It’s my fault! I created the bomb that killed my child and almost took the life of the woman I love. How can I live with this guilt? I just lied to her that our baby was alright when it’s the opposite, how am I supposed to face her again?" Fi lamented.

"It’s not your fault Fi. Yes, you were the one who created the bomb but you didn’t create it to hurt the people you love intentionally. This is business, we create, we sell and you just happen to be there when it was being used. These are just... Bad timing and unfortunate circumstances-"

CREAK!

The sound of the door cut Caleb off. Their attention shifted to the door.

Fi began to walk towards the door and when he opened it he met a heartbroken Cia who had been eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Cia ..." He called out and tried to touch her but she moved away from him.

There were tears and anger in her eyes as they held each other’s gaze. Fi never knew that she would one day look at him with such eyes, it broke his heart- It was at this very moment that he truly felt like a guilty killer who deserves to die.

"Cia-"

"No! Don’t come close, stay.away.from me!" Cia told and began to run off.

"Cia please-" Fi uttered before he started going after her.

They were already outside his house before he could get hold of her.

"Cia please, I’m sorry-"

She freed herself from his embrace. Then she turned to face him, crying for real this time, she couldn’t hold back her tears anymore.

"Cia, I was going to tell you, about our baby. I just wanted you to recover more before I did-"

"You had no right to decide that for me!" Cia yelled angrily as she hits his chest.

"You had no right," she cried on, on his chest as she stops hitting him.

"I’m sorry," he continued to apologize as he held her close.

After some while she pushed him away again.

"I can’t do this anymore Fi," she told.

"What do you mean Cia?" Fi questioned.

"I can’t... you and I... I can’t do this anymore, it can’t work- We can’t work-"

"No Cia, Cia wait let’s talk about this," Fi moved closer to her but she moved further away from him. It broke his heart. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

"I loved you, and so I thought it could work out. But I was wrong, now I can see it’s going to be an endless cycle that I no longer want to be a part of. My innocent baby got caught up in your messy world! My baby never did anything wrong!" Cia cried on as she continued hitting him on his chest.

He grabbed her hands, "The baby was mine as well. I didn’t ask for this to happen."

"But you participated in it whether you like it or not," Cia commented, yanking her hands from him.

She began to pull off the engagement ring he gave to her.

"Cia please, don’t do this. I can’t live without you please-"

She grabbed his hand and placed the ring in his palm.

"I love you Fi but I can’t be with you anymore not after what happened I don’t think I want to do this anymore. We could have another child yes, but what guarantee do I have that it would be safe,"

"Cia-"

"As long as you are still in this world, I’m sorry but... We’re impossible and it took me this long, it took the life of my child, for me to realize it. Goodbye Fi and I hope you find happiness no matter what because you deserve it but I can’t give it to you," Cia concluded and turned to leave but he hugged her from behind.

"But you’re my happiness Cia, how do you expect me to be happy without you? Just this once Cia, please forgive me for not being able to protect you again and our baby. You can hit me, rain curses on me but please, don’t leave me. Please, please Cia." Fi pleaded and she could feel his tears land on her neck.

She bit her lower lip in tears, "I’m sorry Fi." She said and got away from his embrace then she walked away and he didn’t stop her this time.

The further she walked away till her silhouette was unseen, the more he felt his world crumpling.
