Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 55: Husband and wife
"I-I can’t accept this," Cia said, stammering a little.
"And why’s that? It’s a thank you gift," Fi replied.
"It’s too much. Please take it back, you really don’t have to thank me with this," she insisted.
"Okay." he replied, hiding his surprise. Who in the world would reject money? Isn’t she tempted by the amount? Well he can’t simply force a gift on her.
He got dressed in the clothes Caleb brought for him. Cia gave his previous clothes to him which he handed over to his men. With his money, he left.
Sighing, she slumped on her couch. What a weekend!

Olivia smiled at the screen of the ultrasound machine.
She was carrying out an ultrasound. With her right now was Leo’s mother and the doctor carrying out the ultrasound.
The tests had already been done, Colleen was on top of the issue so eager to know if Leo was truly the father of her child. The tests turned out accurate, she was a month pregnant and the paternity test showed Leo was the father.
The door opened and Leo walked in, an expressionless look on his face. Olivia was surprised to see him here, she thought he wouldn’t come. Their eyes met briefly before he diverted his gaze from her.
"Leo? I’m glad you came," Helen said and gave him a light hug.
"Welcome Mr. Yul. I was just saying that the baby is doing quite fine, but that doesn’t mean Ms. Olivia here should stress herself out. She should follow the necessities and I’ll give her some specific diets and meds for a healthy pregnancy." the doctor, who was a woman, elaborated.
Leo just nodded.
The doctor and Helen soon excused themselves and left the two alone.
"Thank you for coming," Olivia started.
"I didn’t come for you. I came for the baby, I’ll acknowledge the child but don’t expect to get anything from me. You may get from my parents like the leech you have become," he spat.
Olivia sighed.
"Leo...I know you are mad. But it doesn’t give you the right to say such things to me," she responded. He scoffed.
"You will become a Yul soon just as you have planned with your darn family but don’t expect any respect from me," he continued.
"I don’t need it," she replied.
"Yes, all you need is money. You have no self respect at all, you should have just told me all you needed was money in exchange for a night with you. I would have given it to you instead of you using me like this," he blurted.
Her eyes stared at him, she was trying so hard to fight back her tears. His eyes held no love for her, no more softness in them for her. She will not show him her tears.
"If you just came here to insult me, then please... just leave," she clenched her fists, holding back her urge to slap him. It was what she has ever done all her life, ’holding back’ and ’enduring’.
He glared at her once more before leaving. She sat on the bed again. His words really hurt her, could anger and the feeling of betrayal really change a person that much? She can’t believe he was still the same man from that night.
What sort of a marriage will she be getting into with him? A loveless marriage just like her parents’, will she end up like her mom? She wouldn’t be in this situation if not for her family. She was nothing of what Leo thought of her.
Well, she better start-Not caring of what he thought of her.

Silvia stood outside the closed double sided door of the church waiting for it to be opened. Her father held her arm, it was a contract marriage but why was she feeling so nervous.
The door finally opened, everyone was already waiting. Soft music filled the air, she could see Davian at the altar looking as handsome as ever as he waited for her to walk down the aisle over to him.
Alan and her finally started walking down the aisle. She doesn’t understand why her heart was beating so fast the closer she got to him. It even skipped a beat when he flashed a small smile at her, she soon got to the altar. Her father gave her hand to Davian which he took before Alan walked away to join the congregation.
They both held each other’s gaze. Though there were many people in the church including their close friends and family, it was like it was just the two of them in their eyes.
Everyone zoomed out of their vision and the only things they could hear was the soft music and the voice of the priest as he commenced the ceremony.
"Dearly beloved, we are all gathered here before God and this congregation to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony which is an honorable estate established by God..."
__[Time skips]
"Mr. Davian Randell, do you take this woman as your lovely wedded wife, to live together according to God’s ordinance in the holy estate of matrimony?
"Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her in sickness and in health and forsaking all others keeping yourself only unto her, so long as you both shall live?" the priest questioned.
Davian stared at Silvia; "I do."
The priest said same thing to Silvia using her name and ’husband’ in place of Davian’s and ’wife’.
"I do." she responded.
They moved on to the vows. Davian took her hand as instructed and he repeated the words of the priest.
"I, Davian Randell take you Silvia Reyes to wed as my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us apart, according to God’s holy ordinance and there to, I pledge you my truth." Davian said.
She doesn’t know why those words made her so happy hearing it. She said hers and the priest wasted no time in moving unto the next step.
"Okay. Is there any one in this house of the holy lord, that doesn’t want these two to be wedded. Please speak now...or forever hold your peace," the priest stated.
The church was silent, apart from the soft music from the instrumentalists.
"Very well." the priest added since there was no one against the marriage, though there were some individuals secretly against it.
"The rings please," the priest continued and the ring bearer which was Ray, who was also Davian’s best man, walked over to the altar and handed the rings which was on a small elegant pillow, to the priest.
The priest gave the ring to the couple after he blessed it and they wore it on each other. A round of applause filled the air.
The priest held a Bible once the applause had died down, he placed the couple’s hands on it.
"With this holy Bible, which is the word of God and with the power vested in me by the lord God, I wed you both in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit.
"I hereby pronounce you husband and wife from this day forward. You may kiss the bride now." the priest concluded.
Davian unveiled her and their lips were connected in no time, it was as if this was the moment they have been waiting for.
The congregation gave another round of applause. This was it, they were finally married...till the next one year.
...
Davian and Silvia both sat at the back seat of the car as the driver drove them home from the reception. Home? The place they’ll be living together in as husband and wife for the next one year.
Silvia smiled. Husband and wife...her eyes went to the rings on her fingers.
They finally arrived at the house. They both alighted from the car and walked into the house. Davian’s hands went to Silvia’s waist when she swayed.
"Are you okay?" he asked and she laughed a small laugh.
"I’m fine, I just feel a little tipsy," she responded.
"You are slightly drunk. Had too much earlier?" he asked.
"A bride who’s drunk on her wedding night? The drunken bride," she laughed again.
"Classic but I’m not drunk," she responded and she was lifted up in a bridal style in the next minute.
"Like I said, slightly. Let’s go upstairs," he replied and took them upstairs.
Silvia’s eyes just concentrated on those sweet lips of his. The memory of their kiss in church just continued to linger in her mind, she could still taste how his lips felt on hers. She shamelessly wanted more.
’Even more than a kiss,’ she thought once he sat her down on the bed in the room she’d chose for them.
He squatted in front of her as he flashed a smile at her. He wanted to say something but her lips captured his at once. He began to kiss her back as soon as he got over the slight surprise of her kissing him abruptly.
Soon he hovered above her as the kiss deepened. Her hands reached for his suit jackets and she helped him remove it one after the other till it was just the long sleeve t-shirt remaining.
Her hands got rid of his tie. She moaned in the kiss when Davian licked, sucked and slightly bit on her lips. She wanted him to do it again.
As if he read her mind he did it again and she moaned in pleasure. She wanted him, she wanted him now, all of him.
Her hands reached for his bottoms and she started unbuttoning him. He held her hands midway and breaks the wild and arousing kiss.
His eyes stared intently and intensely at her. He wanted her too, he might not even be able to hold himself back once he does. But...
Was this also what she wanted?
...
