Davian freed his hand from her grasps again, "What exactly do you mean by saying that?"

"Do you think it changes anything?" he added.

"I...I didn’t say it to... it doesn’t, but...I just wanted you to know. I still love you Davian, very much and I’m so sorry for what I did, I never intended to hurt you," she replied.

"Is that Leah?" Sarah started as she walked out of the building with her colleagues.

"What is she doing here?" Becca muttered under her breath as she stares intently and intensely at Davian and Leah.

"Yes, wow it is her," Lucas responded as they watched the duo from afar.

"What the heck is she doing here? I thought she left the country?" he added.

"Yeah, but she is back. Davian already told me that he had encountered her at a book auction. God knows how she found here and why she is here," Ray explained.

"Well, it’s all in the past now. Goodbye." Davian responded and got into his car before she could say anything else.

He drove off. His speed on the road increased as he got angry. His mind started to drift off to occurrences of years ago.

"Leah...Leah," Davian searched the sitting room and kitchen but couldn’t find her. Maybe she was in her room.

He had paid her a surprise visit at her house because he didn’t tell her he was coming, her door wasn’t locked that’s why he was able to come in, it made a slight worry settle at the back of his mind.

With the flowers he had bought for her, in his hands, he walked towards her room. He didn’t call her name again as he didn’t want to alert her of his presence if she was truly in her room.

When he got to the door leading to her room, he began to hear her moans.

The hell...

What was she doing?- He hesitated a little when he was about to open the door, but he eventually opened it and what he saw broke him into a thousand pieces.

The flowers he had bought for her, fell off from his hands. She was so immersed in sexual pleasure with her boss that they didn’t know when he had walked in.

His fists clenched as he gazed at them, "Leah?" and after hearing his voice, that was when they acknowledged his presence, as they halted in their activity.

Leah bit her lower lip, she was too ashamed to even look at Davian in the eyes, why was he here?

Davian just walked out, she didn’t go after him. He didn’t reach out to her and so did she until two days later when she knocked on his apartment’s door.

He let her in, she continued to stand while he sat on a couch. His back leaned forward as his elbows were placed on his laps.

"Why are you here?" he started. "Two days Leah, it took you two days to see me or even call,"

"I...I was too ashamed to. I thought you wouldn’t want to see me," Leah responded. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

"You know why I didn’t beat that boss of yours into a plum?" Davian questioned, but Leah didn’t respond.

"Because I was too hurt to. I heard the way you moaned as he f*cked you, the way... that’s what hurt, you wanted it. So why should I teach the guy a lesson, I’ll just look pathetic and immature," Davian elaborated.

He stared at her but she continued to stare anywhere else but his eyes.

"You look so unremorseful. Just ask for forgiveness, at least apologize Leah!" Davian demanded.

"I won’t!" she replied.

"I just had to do it," she added and he stood up coming closer to her, his hands landed on her shoulders.

"Tell me, did he force you? Did he compel you to do it?" he asked.

"He didn’t. He showed interest in me and I had to grab the opportunity, I wanted something from him as well- ’favouritism’," she replied and he slowly let go of her shoulders.

"Can you really hear yourself right now?" he asked. She wanted favoritism from her boss at work and that’s why she slept with him despite putting their relationship at stake. It was as if he didn’t even know this woman anymore.

"How many times?" he continued, referring to how many times she has slept with her boss. She didn’t answer and her expression just showed that it wasn’t just once.

He scoffed, she has been cheating on him right under his nose for a long time now and she didn’t even feel sorry for it.

"You disgust me so much right now, how have you been able to look me in the eyes all these while?" he inquired.

"Get out," Davian turned away.

"W-What?" she voiced.

"I said get out, it’s over between us. I can’t even look at you right now," Davian responded.

"Are you seriously breaking our relationship up all because of this minor-"

"MINOR!" he yelled cutting her off, "GET OUT!" she didn’t wait to be told again as she rushes towards the door and walked out.

After that, without even seeing her again, he soon heard that she had travelled out of the country. What had happened broke him so much, he was even surprised at how he was still able to fall in love again with Silvia after that heartbreak.

Now Leah comes from no where asking for the forgiveness she should have pleaded for years ago and what? Expect things to change. It was just way too late now.

Davian arrived home, he got out of the car after parking. He walked into the house;

"Davian!" Silvia, who had returned from work earlier, beamed and hugged him, when she saw him. He hugged her back.

"Thank you for coming early today for our pizza in bed," she appreciated as she stops hugging him but he still held her waist.

"There wasn’t much work at the office today and I was tired," he kissed her forehead.

"Is something wrong?" he looked moody.

"Nothing is wrong my princess. Have you ordered the pizzas?" he replied.

"Hmm hmm," she nodded and so they went upstairs.

"Wow, this is a lot," Davian acknowledged when he saw how many pizza she had ordered.

She giggled, "We are going to eat till our bellies pop," he joined her amusement- She can be so cute sometimes and he was one of the lucky ones to see this side of her.

"Okay, let me take a shower first," he told and she nodded.

After taking a shower and getting dressed, he joined Silvia in the bed. They sat on the bed as Silvia positioned a laptop in front of them.

"Movie, pizza, man that I love and adore," Silvia pounced on Davian at the last part, hugging him as he lies flat.

Davian laughed, she always cheers him up, "Why are you being extremely adorable today?"

She chuckled, "I’m just really happy today,"

They started watching the movie as they ate the pizzas.

"Urgh I’m so full, Silvia," Davian exclaimed once the movie was over. Silvia smiled at him, they sat facing each other with their legs crossed.

Davian’s hand touched her cheek, he caressed it. He brought some hair to the back of her ear though she packed her hair upwards. He leaned closer and planted his lips on hers. His lips moved on hers so passionately.

She kissed him back, it was a sweet kiss, but it had so many emotions to it.

He stopped, his forehead on hers as the tip of their noses touched. He moved away to embrace her, his head falling on her shoulders.

"Awwn, why’s my hubby being so emotional today?" Silvia noted. She heard him laugh, he raised his head up to face her again as he holds her cheeks.

"Promise me, Silvia. Promise you will never leave me," he requested.

"I won’t, as long as you don’t do something stupid to hurt me," she smiled at him.

"I won’t, I’d rather die," he responded and she laughed shaking her head a little.

"I mean it. I love you so much Silvia," he added.

"I love you too," she replied, wondering what must have happened today to make him this sentimental.

The next day Davian went to work as usual, the door of his office opened and Lucas and Ray walked in.

"Hey dude," Lucas started. Davian looked away from his laptop and stared at them to see what they came in for.

Ray sat on a chair in front of him while Lucas just leaned on a wall.

"Heard Leah is back. What now?" Lucas continued.

"So is that what you duo came into my office to talk about. What do you mean what now? She cheated on me then left me, even though I was the one who dumped her, she never made an effort to make up with me instead she just left. I learned to forgive her but it still f*cking hurts to see her again.

"I thought I was over the pain but I guess I was wrong. Nothing is ’what now’, I’m married now, to Silvia and guys, I love her more than my life, more than the very breath I breathe," and it was his achilles heel, because if he loves someone, he loves that person with his all and that’s why what Leah did really hurt him.

On the other hand, Becca wasn’t bothered about Leah’s reappearance, she knew Davian stands a chance of falling for her again as he was so in love with her back then.

But then again, it was also very impossible especially thinking of what she had done- Tsk!

On the contrary, Becca was very happy, she could use this to her own advantage.
