Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 99: Insecure
They both held each other’s gaze, none of them uttering anything for some while. Sentencia’s fingers went to her lips as she touched them, still in shock, not believing what Logan had just done.
Logan pinched the space between his brows as he shut his eyes, biting his lower lips. Why did he just do that?
"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do it. I’m sorry," he apologized. "Finish drying your hair and join me for dinner," he added and walked away without waiting for her response.
Sentencia still stood there for some few minutes wondering why Logan had just kissed her. Didn’t mean to do it?
She walked out of the room after she finished drying her hair, her previous clothes had already been taken to be laundered. She walked down the stairs and a man directed her to the dining room where Logan was already waiting for her at the dining table.
She joined him and soon the dishes were served and they started eating.
"Just spend the night here, Sentencia," she heard him say when they were almost done with their meals.
"W-What?" she stuttered.
"It’s still raining heavily and I don’t think it’s going to stop any time soon. It’s getting pretty late now, Sentencia and it’s dangerous to drive in the rain," Logan explained.
"No, it’s okay. I should go home, you don’t have to trouble yourself," she replied.
"I insist Sentencia. Just stay here for the night, you don’t have to feel awkward about what had happened earlier and... it’s not as if we are going to sleep in the same room," he insisted.
She finally agreed to his offer, because he was actually right, it was getting late and still raining heavily. Plus, she really doesn’t have to feel awkward around him since he had already apologized for kissing her.
On the other hand, Davian just arrived home. It was already raining when he got home. He was welcomed by Silvia who took the day off today.
He went upstairs to freshen up so they could both have dinner together. He was already all dressed up when the door of the room opened and Silvia walked in.
"Here," she offered him the suit jacket he had given to Leah the other day.
You could color him surprise, "How did you get that?"
Silvia scoffed, "Your ex actually brought it here,"
"W-What? How did she get to know this place?" Davian questioned.
"Are you seriously asking me that?" she responded. After some few seconds of silence, he walked over to her and held her shoulders.
"It’s really not what you think Silvia," he began.
"I know what I’m thinking, I do trust you Davian but I don’t trust that woman, that ex of yours. Stop seeing her Davian," Silvia replied.
"Trust me Silvia when I say, I am not the one seeing her," he responded.
"Then prevent her from seeing you," Silvia suggested.
"Silvia, there really is nothing for you to feel insecure about. I’m married to you and I love you with everything I’m made of. I told her that we should end our tension on a friendly note.
"She took it literally and really wants to make things up to me even when I had told her not to. I don’t think she means any harm, she even recommended my firm to some companies and three are interested in setting up a meeting.
"And that was what she wanted to tell me on the day I gave the jacket to her. It was raining and she didn’t bring her car, she couldn’t get a taxi and so I decided to just help her out," Davian explained.
She doesn’t mean any harm? That wasn’t what she saw today.
"Silvia what had happen? Did she say or do anything to hurt you?" Davian inquired but Silvia shook her head.
Davian sighed.
"Silvia? You really have nothing to worry about. I love you and you alone, no one else," he assured, she just smiled at him before she nodded.
"Now let’s go have dinner," he held her hand.

The next day just came quickly like, in the blink of an eye. Sentencia was already done taking her bath and freshening up. She put on her previous clothes from yesterday which had already been laundered.
Soon, she joined Logan at the dining room in the dining table, just like yesterday, to have breakfast.
After breakfast, Logan had offered to drop her off, which she accepted.
As they approached her house, Sentencia could spot Fi’s bike at her driveway and so as Logan. His car stopped in front of the driveway and they both got out.
Fi was actually leaning against her door, the air turned sour immediately both men set their eyes on each other.
Fi stopped leaning against her door and walked towards them, "I had been knocking but it seems you weren’t home,"
"Hmm," she nodded.
Fi tilted his head a little, "Don’t tell me you spent the night over at this man’s place?"
"Yes she did. Is something wrong with that?" Logan responded which irk Fi even more, Sentencia decided to intervene in the awkward situation.
"Just because of the heavy downpour yesterday, nothing more," Cia told.
"You don’t owe him any explanation," Logan responded.
"Why are you here?" Cia asked.
"I came to see you," Fi grinned at her.
Sentencia turned to Logan, she nodded at him as a way of telling him goodbye, thank you and good luck. Logan was reluctant to go but, he eventually nodded back and went back to his car.
He drove away and so, both Fi and Sentencia walked into her house after she had opened it.
"Please, make yourself at hom-" Fi cut her short with a bear hug which she didn’t return. He gazed down at her face.
"What’s wrong? Why are you so sad? Did that scumbag do anything to hurt you?" Fi asked.
His eyes held so much care for her right now she didn’t know when she burst into tears in front of him as she returned his hug.
Fi’s eyes burned with rage, what had happened to make his precious woman cry like this? If he finds out Logan had a hand in it, he will not hesitate but to have his head.
"I lost a patient yesterday," Sentencia informed.
"What? How?" Fi asked.
"I didn’t get there on time and the patient just gave up," she cried on, on his chest.
He hugged her even tighter, "Would this affect your career or the hospital’s image?"
"No, not really. But it still hurts to lose a patient and then deliver bad news to their families and watch them cry, I can never get used to it," she replied and stopped hugging him.
"I’m sorry that you had to see me like this," she apologized but he hugged her again.
"You really don’t have to apologize, I’ll always be here to comfort you," he let go of her.
"Would you like me to get you anything?" she smiled at him.
"No, not really. Do you have a shift today?" he asked.
"No," she replied. She really doesn’t get much shifts as the head doctor and yet, still gets the highest pay.
Some say its because she is the owner’s friend and the previous owners ward but Sentencia earned her spot as the head doctor fair and square through hard work and dedication.
"Okay, let me take you out to clear your head for a bit," he offered. She nodded in agreement, she really needs it.
"Okay, I’ll just get changed," she replied and went upstairs. She came back soon in a beautiful casual knee level floral gown and a jean jacket on top with some boots.
He smiled, they were soon on his bike as he drove off to a certain place still unknown to her. They arrived at a house, a beautiful villa even and he drove into the place freely.
"What are we doing here?" Sentencia asked when he had come to a stop and they were both out of the bike.
"We’ve been friends for a while now and I’ve always known and come to your house but you haven’t to mine. Well, welcome to my humble abode," he announced.
"Wow, it’s lovely," she commented as she stares around. Just like Logan, Fi had bodyguards around the place.
"Just ignore the bodyguards," he told, she turned to him.
"You didn’t just do it because you wanted me to see your house all of a sudden," Cia stared suspiciously at him.
He chuckled, his hands went up in the air, "Okay, you’ve caught me," he dropped his hands.
"I’m sorry, I didn’t entirely bring you here all of a sudden to just show you my house. It’s because the thought of you already been to Logan’s house and not mine irks me.
"Hmmf, please Cia it was just a man’s jealousy but I have also really wanted you to come here," he explained.
Sentencia honestly didn’t know how to react or respond and her silence was making Fi worry the more.
