Marvel: I Awake the Little Cosmos-Chapter 598 - 566: Looking for My Sister and Going to Hell
Because just as Anya finished speaking.
A voice that felt very familiar, yet somewhat unfamiliar, sounded in her ear.
"Really?"
"Why don’t I remember saying that?"
As the words fell.
Entering her sight.
The space in front of the booth rippled as if a stone had been thrown into a river, and as the ripples expanded, Hawk, in a suit, came out with Wanda, a slight smile on his face.
Space Gemstone.
It allows the holder to freely traverse space to reach anywhere, move desired objects or arrange space sequences. In theory, if you wish, you can be everywhere.
But once again.
To avoid alerting the 616 Cosmos itself and the Celestial God Team, even with the Space Gemstone of This Cosmos, Hawk mustn’t make big moves.
However...
Using the Space Gate to travel freely on Earth is still possible.
Anya looked at Hawk as he emerged from the Space Gate. Almost simultaneously, she stood up from the booth, her pupils rapidly contracting, her eyes filled with disbelief as she looked at Hawk.
Hawk saw the expression on Anya’s face and smiled slightly.
"What, don’t recognize your dear brother?"
"..."
Xia Ling, beside them, also fell into shock the moment Hawk emerged from the Space Gate.
She didn’t really know Hawk.
But Wanda...
Having once saved Earth from the Extinction Event, Wanda had some notoriety.
Upon hearing Hawk’s words, Anya’s eyes contracted once more. As she regained composure, her disbelief turned to vigilance, her gaze sharply fixing on Wanda.
Her voice became exceedingly cold.
"Is this another of your tricks?"
"Tricks?"
Hawk, hearing this, raised an eyebrow and looked at Wanda beside him: "Again?"
Wanda glanced at the furious Anya, then looked at Hawk and shook her head: "After the Extinction, she knew you couldn’t come back, was once in despair, I couldn’t stand by and watch her starve herself to death, so..."
At first, when Wanda and Hawk disappeared, Anya still had hopes.
Because the Avengers were still around, the story wasn’t over so quickly. So Anya kept vigil at Palm Street No. 521A, clinging to her hopes.
But after the Extinction, only Wanda was seen, not Hawk. Anya’s hope diminished, and upon knowing her brother’s return was unlikely, she fell into despair, contemplating starvation as a means to end.
Wanda, seeing this, facing Anya’s attempt to starve herself, resorted to Chaos Magic to conjure up a version of Hawk.
The result...
This explains why their relationship soured so much after Hawk’s disappearance.
Listening to Wanda’s explanation, Hawk finally understood why these two women parted ways here after he vanished.
The root issues lay here.
Hawk thought to himself, a slightly bemused smile appearing, shaking his head.
"You shouldn’t have deceived her."
"Should I have watched her starve to death?"
Wanda shrugged, looking at Anya who still glared at her, spreading her hands: "I didn’t use my magic this time."
No magic used?
Anya looked at Wanda’s gesture, a moment of confusion passed her mind, then she reacted, her gaze shifting sharply back to Hawk, disbelief again flooding her eyes, her tone beginning to tremble.
"Brother?"
"Who else?"
Hawk smiled and said, "Who else could guess you were trying to find a dragon to wish me back to life?"
Here.
Hawk paused, then looked curiously at Anya.
"But I recall when I told you this story, it involved needing to find seven Dragon Balls to summon the dragon for any wish..."
"Brother!"
Just as Hawk spoke halfway, Anya was utterly convinced. Standing in front of her was indeed her brother. She couldn’t hold back anymore, shouting out loud, and as the words fell, she lunged into Hawk’s embrace, tears pouring out uncontrollably.
Hawk’s collar visibly dampened at great speed.
But he didn’t feel uncomfortable. Instead, he held his crying in his arms gently comforting his sobbing sister.
From the onset of the Extinction, holding onto a fragment of hope, to after the event where hope collapsed and despair took hold with Wanda’s illusions making her mistakenly believe her brother returned, to discovering the truth, Anya had but one thought — that was to bring her brother back. And now, holding her real, dreaming no more non-illusory brother, the tight tension that she had clung on to finally eased in those cries.
Then—
Anya fell asleep.
Hawk raised an eyebrow, looking at his sister asleep among the rain-covered pear blossoms, exchanged a glance with Wanda beside him.
Wanda looked at the sister-in-law holding tightly even asleep, with some helplessness, shook her head.
Hawk then turned his gaze to Xia Ling, who stood aside, silent.
Looking at Xia Ling before him, haunted by thoughts of Xu Wenwu, the rebellious progeny influenced by generations of impact, and of Xu Wenwu who, like him, was unwaveringly devoted. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Hawk drew back his gaze, then looked at Xia Ling once more.
"I’m sorry for the interruption."
"If you meet your father, tell Xu Wenwu, if I were him, with a rebellious progeny at home, I’d choose to clean up the house rather than be endlessly forgiving. Because that could cost your own life."
"Let’s go."
After saying this, Hawk turned around, cradling his sleeping sister in his arms, and gently waved his right hand in front of him.
The next second.
The Space Gate to Palm Street No. 521A instantly appeared within the ripples of space.
Hawk, holding his sister Anya, stepped into the Space Gate.
Wanda followed closely behind.
In the blink of an eye, Hawk had already disappeared with his sister Anya and Wanda in front of Xu Xiaoling, as if they had never been there.
The next second.
The surrounding noise and clamor returned to Xu Xiaoling’s ears.
Listening to the noise around her, Xu Xiaoling realized that it seemed as if those around them hadn’t noticed anything that just happened, as if she and Hawk’s group had been isolated from space.
"Hiss!"
"Hawk Phoenix."
Xu Xiaoling, after realizing it, took a sharp breath, then recalled the words Hawk said before leaving, and took another deep breath, hurrying to her office.
Just as Xu Xiaoling was about to call her father Xu Wenwu.
At a home far away on Palm Street No. 521A, Hawk had already put his deeply sleeping sister on the bed and covered her with a quilt.
When Hawk came out of the room, the entire house had been cleaned by Wanda with Chaos Magic, even the floor was so clean it reflected shadows.
"I thought this place had already been taken away."
"Pepper has been paying the property tax here."
"Pepper?"
Hawk, hearing this, looked at Wanda: "Pepper Potts?"
Wanda nodded: "Yes, Pepper Stark. After the Blip incident, Pepper has been paying the property tax here, even though I said it’s unnecessary, Pepper said this place is still a home."
Hawk nodded thoughtfully.
After the Blip incident, not only was the Stark family shattered, but Palm Street No. 521A was also broken.
The first to leave was his sister Anya, who felt deceived.
Then Wanda went to West View Town to construct a small town with Hawk’s presence.
Palm Street No. 521A was instantly deserted.
But this is the Federation, and the IRS wouldn’t care if there’s anyone living here. They only know that if you don’t pay taxes on time, they’ll take your house away.
It was during this time that Pepper paid the taxes for Palm Street No. 521A.
Hawk thought of Tony Stark, who disappeared from this time due to snapping his fingers: "How is Pepper now?"
Wanda shook her head: "Pepper now values family more and doesn’t care much about outside affairs."
Hawk nodded.
Wanda looked at Hawk’s expression, as if she thought of something.
"Are you thinking of resurrecting Stark as well?"
"Tony? His soul isn’t in Hell."
Hawk chuckled, looking at Wanda: "His soul belongs to Death."
Although Tony lost his life by forcibly sacrificing himself to snap the Infinity Gauntlet, logically speaking, his soul should belong to Hell.
But don’t forget, among the Infinity Gemstones, there is a Soul Gemstone.
So!
Tony’s soul actually belongs to Death.
And it’s not easy to take a soul from Death.
At least, not just because Pepper has been paying the property tax, keeping Palm Street No. 521A isn’t enough.
However...
"We’ll talk about it later."
Hawk thought for a moment and didn’t give a definite answer: "Even if I wanted to resurrect him, it wouldn’t be now."
It’s still because of the 616 Cosmos itself and the Celestial God Team.
He has Death’s contact information. During his time in the Mutant Cosmos, Death gave him a contact when leaving.
But Hawk won’t contact Death to come to this Cosmos now.
Because it would expose him.
Therefore, whether he likes it or not, or wants to resurrect Tony Stark, or this time’s self-sacrificing Natasha, it won’t be done now, at least not until he’s dealt with the Celestial God Team.
As for now?
Hawk smiled a bit, looking at Wanda: "It’s almost time to go to Hell to find Mephisto."
Wanda raised an eyebrow.
"When?"
"After Anya wakes up."
Hawk thought for a moment and smiled at Wanda: "Better not let her wake up and find I’m not there, and think you’re lying to her."
Wanda, hearing this, thought for a moment and nodded.
"Indeed."
"Your sister really is a brother-loving one."
"No."
Hawk smiled slightly.
"She’s not brother-loving!"
"We rely on each other for survival."
