Master Of None-Chapter 2522 - . Moving Time
Flames and heat.
That was what everyone felt over everything else. Walker knew it was causing his expedition party damage, but he was able to resist the fire resistance buffs along with the others. They all applied whatever skills they could while witnessing the immense flames around them.
After they had gathered as much as possible and all the coal prowl guards had brought their people in to the main city walls, everything had moved in a rush.
Walker had stored away the larger amount of flame crawling coal and a few monster bodies her group had managed to grab. Walker hadn't even been surprised when Midnight explained her mana tracking skill. A mix of her natural strength in scent tracking and mana sensing.
They had all gathered toward the center of the coal people city, it was still unfamiliar to them and much of it could be something they explored later. It was not hard to see the many ships and stores that any city or village would have. They had been properly reinforced for any shaking or jostling as the land and city were moved.
This was the same with many other buildings, many were reinforced so that they would not break. It was actually stunning how much the general populace had done. It seemed that there was a heavy focus on basic crafting of fire elemental materials.
This did make some sense though. The coal people's race had been weaker so they could not focus on powering up with levels in strength. They had time to do what they could with what they had. And what they had were fire affinity materials.
It only made sense that they would become more adept in the basics of crafting. It made Walker wonder if they would be able to advance in that focus if they were able to grow more with the flame crawling coal becoming more readily available for them.
The focus though, was on the massive walls of fire that the massive flame swallowing turtle manipulated to separate the flame crystal walled city from the majority of the land.
To call this destruction would be an absolute insult. The immense control that the massive flame swallowing turtle used was enough to prove over and over that the many years it had lived were enough to master its potential for fire manipulation.
The lifting flames moved the entire city in to the flame swallowing turtles back and its children who were nearby began moving away. They had followed their parent's orders to guide those from the world here. Now they would leave their parent and venture in to the fire elemental plane themselves. It was a silent goodbye that Walker could sense in the air.
The space where the city had been slowly filled with writhing flames. They changed color and moved in the sky as the land was reformed by the shifting fire elemental plane. Walker felt that he was seeing a new depth of how the fire mana formed in to solid land and became what could grow herbs or materials.
The feeling of the flames holding and protecting the entire city was also strange. The expedition party maintained formations to ensure that any oddities could be handled. They had managed to separate to different points to keep watch while also reapplying their defenses when needed.
The flames that held the city were not as hot but still radiated a potent fire mana. It was damaging still due to its nature but for the coal people, it was almost nourishing. Like a healing skill being brought in to them.
The youngest coal people who had been outside were brought inside, they had the urge to eat and rest which Walker believed to be a part of the flames the large flame swallowing turtle used. If it was a healing skill it might also have a nourishing buff that helped the youngest of the coal people grow.
Since the race was desired to live and not be lost by the fire elemental king, then it would make sense That the flame swallowing turtle was moving on to the end of its life and giving as much as it could to help others.
This brought a melancholy tone to Walker's thoughts. Knowing that this massive and ancient monster with intelligence was reaching the end of its life. Yet, it was willing to dissipate all of its mana to allow the coal people race to live safely in the world and adapt there. To literally carry them on its back to safety.
Heroic acts. The essence of selflessness. Whatever the facts were about how the elemental planes worked and the sacrifices made so that the balance could remain, the actions were still clear. They were just and good.
"What do you think of all this?" Gil was just checking in since they were in yet another strange and odd situation they'd never expected.
"I think that we are being coddled. We are being guided and slowly brought in to the elemental planes. We have not seen the same dangers we saw when we came here but we are seeing the potential losses they might have as natural shifting occurs." He couldn't go deeper before Gil cut him off.
"It's the way things are. Whatever happens, we are also able to see the best of things too. We saw some of the worst and now we are avoiding all that from happening again. If I need to fight I will, if I just need to stay here and make sure people are at ease, then I will." The shrug from Gil made Walker take a deep breath and nod in agreement.
They would all do whatever was needed. Right now they were here to put others at ease while also assisting in guiding a new race to the world. That's all they had to do, and that was fine.
Unknown to how the fire elemental plane would change, Genesis was working ahead of schedule.
Since the dragon could not easily move through the elemental planes without causing worries about balance and their strength, they had been focusing on the building. The second city that Terron had been excavating land for and condensing stone for on the Sigil continent grew, more prowl also grew.
He didn't like the large number of reports but he understood everything. The high number of new classes being formed revolving around the methods of building they were doing was stunning. Especially with how they used mana in a more specific and focused ways of crafting whatever they needed.
One person had literally become the earth nail blacksmith. Of all things to focus on it was outlook forms of earth affinity nails this blacksmith could make. But where it shined was the fact that these nails could have small turn formations carved within which was well above what other nails were able to hold for long periods of time.
Since this was the case the rune carvers had a massive set of orders for the new blacksmith providing others the ideas that they could potentially be able to focus their classes in to specific niches that would hold more value because they would always be needed for building projects. Mostly because the earth nails were able to hold other mana affinity rune formations. freewebnσvel.cøm
"Terron, we are patrolling the nearby lands and have discovered what might be more ore on the surface. We will need you to procure it to be processed." Ventura's been leading many in the air to find these or outcroppings or larger trees to be used for building.
"I will. Have Current help move the nearby stream in to the river. If we do not prepare it now will be flooding underground every rainstorm." Their cooperation had been significant. Allowing Terron to lead since he was focused entirely in the base of the city proved ideal.
The other Royal degauss guided all the workers to accept tasks that enhanced every aspect of their material gathering and processing. Their mana and directions sped everything up immensely.
The dragonkin were showing their diversity. They had long been focused as warriors primarily and their strength in that was never questioned. However, they had never truly branched out because of their culture. They had not been able to refine the draconic runes and their language in to more versatile equipment, weapons, or even basic tools.
With all the building and the increased freedom, this was happening at a much more significant pace. The dragonkin were growing in new ways that made every royal dragon take greater pride in those they had protected and that had served them for generations.
While many races grew closer to one another, the dragons and dragonkin were enhancing their bonds over and over. Creating a unique place for their joined future in the world.
