"As for your answer, Brent, those are our prisoners. The ones you came to free. They look beautiful with the noose on their necks, right?" Chang Wook said with a warm smile you would think they were welcoming the revolution leaders to a party.

Well, they were but goddamn, this wasn’t the kind of party that they had been hoping for and that much was obvious. They had gone through so much that even being here like this was an insult to their effort, but then who cared? 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"Shouldn’t there be just five prisoners? Who is the sixth?" Bai Ting asked as he counted the prisoners whose heads were covered and they each had a noose around their necks, not to mention the fire that was burning in a circle around them.

They looked like they were on their last of prayers as they waited for what Rania and her people would do to them. It wasn’t daily that there would be such a situation, but then this was Kim Rania.

The worst that could happen was already happening. So, there was no point in them hoping that anything would be alright.

"Probably another prisoner that they have had here for a long time. They are all wearing the same clothes, and their feet and hands are covered, not to mention they are of the same height and build, it’s impossible to tell who is who among them.

"This is going to be a challenge," King Nathaniel said and Odelia looked at the man with a smirk on her face. She was happy that this was happening and just like her misfit friends, she was thirsty for blood.

However, they had used the past week doing what anyone would do in their state, as they waited for the revolutionaries to make their way through here. She had the most fun with the prisoners, especially Jeon Jungwoo who had been the one to kill her mate.

It was not something she would get used to, but since she couldn’t get over the blank space in her heart, she could as well go on and deal with her grieving soul in the only way she could.

"They wouldn’t hang an Incayon prisoner like that. Kim Rania may be the devil but she loves her people and would do anything for them. Even if they cast her out. The sixth prisoner must be someone from the palace –

"Or even Jungwoo’s mate," one of the warlocks said and they all turned to look at the misfits who were enjoying the chaos before them.

They loved the fact that the revolution leaders had been keen, and they were enjoying the guesses. It didn’t matter what the solution could be. The only thing that mattered to them was the fact that they would get what they had been yearning for for a long time.

"Jungwoo had a mate?’’ Nathaniel asked and his brother just nodded, before they looked at the prisoners before them.

They all looked pitiful and the pack leaders wished they could get to a consensus and free their people. One thing they were sure of, was that Jihoon, Daehyun, and the royals were her. They just had to figure out what the fuck they were meant to do now that they could see the prisoners.

"I think that’s enough time for you to think, right? I’m assuming by now you know who you came for, no? I’ll make this simple. If you name one prisoner correctly, they will be spared from the fire and then you will all have to work for the other five.

"And by the way, since you made it to this point, I must tell you that you won’t be able to leave the magical barrier we lured you in. You will watch the Incayon warriors slaughter your warriors, which doesn’t sound so bad to me, because I honestly couldn’t give a fuck about your warriors.

"Which reminds me... The warriors you sent to sneak into the western side of Incayon are all dead. I figured you would want a tally once you made it here," Rania said casually and Luna Park looked at the women with so much anger and spite.

She could see that Rania had changed and was now a true Lycan. She had the deadly stare and dark aura that came with the Seto brothers. She was dangerous and they needed to find a central ground with her.

It didn’t matter that their lives were already fucked but goddamn, there want a woman that Luna Park had ever wanted dead more than Kim Rania. It was like she was triggered in the worst of ways. Oh, but it would have been nice and all if Kim Rania had cared.

But Kim Rania couldn’t give two shits about the situation.

She was happy and that was strange, because Rania was never happy in war. She always wore a serious face and was never playing around, and yet she looked like she was about to have the time of her life tormenting the women before her.

"I am exactly who I think I am, Octavia. I am Rania, the girl who murdered her mother on the same night I realized I was no longer mated to your son. You do know that mothers are their children’s link to humanity, right? And I murdered mine.

"Seeing you here makes me wonder if Jihoon will finally cross over to the dark side if I take you out. I could do that in just a snap. but don’t worry, we have a whole lifetime to deal with the chaos, alright," Rania said reassuringly though nothing about her tone was reassuring.

She looked like a predator who had finally found the one person she had been looking for in years.

She was enjoying the tension that she was causing and she loved the way the vampire king was staring at her with angry yet curious eyes, almost like that was meant to make her feel threatened.

If she hadn’t been threatened when she was just a mere alpha with mental health issues, then right now, she wasn’t about to be threatened by a king who didn’t even know what the fuck was going on in his own backyard.
