Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 328: Choices; The Gamble of A Lifetime
[RANIA]
"Anyone still want to try shit with my family?" Rania asked darkly, when she realized that even the warriors in the revolution had stopped in shock to see what the fuck had happened. She was loving this kind of attention and goodness it made her feel powerful and scary.
"There, there, dear warlock. Anything you want to tell us, before we start playing games?" Rania asked as she soothed Brent, making sure to run her claws on his face in the lightest way, though she managed to leave claw marks on the man’s face.
She didn’t care what happened to anyone here, as long as no one hurt her family. That was something they would never let pass and the twenty warlocks who had tagged along with Brent were proof of that.
"Shit," Nate said as she looked at his brother who was still trying to cope with what the fuck they had just seen.
They had all been to battle, but they had never been to a battleground where people would be turned into human juice. That shit was scary and Bai Ting considered staking himself for a moment there.
It was easier for him to do that on his own than be a victim of the Seto maniacs. This was creepy as hell, but did they have an option right now?
"Interesting times, don’t you agree?" Rania said thoughtfully like she was really thinking about this, when in reality she loved every bit of the chaos and was even yearning for more.
They were twisted, she was broken, but the realm had played a really big part in that. They were all just seeing the product of what they had played with. This was perfection for her and she wasn’t going to forget it anytime soon.
"I know right? Everyone here acts like saints when they are just murderers like us. Rani, can I be the one to give the vampire king and the werewolf queen their gift?" Dalrae asked with a pouty face and that got the attention of the leaders, not to mention the vampire king’s attention.
There was only one thing that had King Nathaniel and Queen Eunbi on the same page and that was their daughter Yanna. Was that what Dalrae was hinting at though?
Before the birth of Yanna and even the kids, there was a friendship that thrived between, Paloma, Seojoon, Eunbi, and the vampire king, perhaps that’s what Dalrae was talking about, but was that it really?
Would a friendship be enough to get the vampire king on edge like this?
What the hell were they even to make of this?
"Of course, sister. Chang Wook booked the Luna’s gift so that shouldn’t be a problem," Rania said with a smile and Luna Park just sighed defeatedly. She knew that they were dragging this out because they knew that Luna wouldn’t be able to do shit for them.
Luna Park could tell that the women would make her life difficult, but wasn’t what she knew when she came to Incayon and even started the revolution anyway?
"Odelia will lead the games, so let’s get seated. This is going to be more interesting," Rania said and Odelia got up, ready to get on with the assignment at hand.
She hadn’t played games in a while and she knew that it would take some time for her to get into this. But then with her friend supporting her, Odelia knew she would be able to get through this regardless. That was the only thing that mattered to her at that moment.
"Well then, in that case, everyone, sit up, we need to start the session. Today’s session might be a little noisy, thanks to the dying warriors you brought here, but I will make sure you enjoy the game alright," Odelia said and they looked at her like there were some loose screws in her head.
Of course, that was the only explanation for the madness right now. But then they had all lost something, and Odelia’s wounds were still fresh in their minds.
Nothing would ever be the same, and nothing would ever fill up the blank space that was left when Oshita was gone. And that was the only way that they could think of to make her hell. But would there really come a time when they would be on the same page with her?
Would grief and loss come to terms with their current position or would Odelia manage to get everything on the side and let nothing hinder her?
"That said, the rules of the damning game are simple. If you get an answer wrong, the whole team gets punished. Just so we’re clear, you leaders, are the only other team that is here at the moment.
"That is what I mean, are we on the same page, yeah?" Odelia said and the ladders nodded in fear of being affected by whatever the hell Kim Rania had started.
They didn’t want to be juice too, so they nodded skeptically, even though they knew that this was not going to be okay for them.
It never was; from the moment that they had decided to come here, but goddamn, they should have been prepared for the chaos that had been waiting for them on this other side of the world, right?
"Any questions?" Odelia asked again and she got no response; she assumed that they were on the same page.
However, Rania and Dalrae could tell that even if they had questions, none of them had the guts to ask about it because that wasn’t something they could face.
Their reality was a little twisted and right now the goal was more of them staying alive than having to deal with the misfits. Whoever suggested the revolution should have prepared them for the chaos that the goddess would have sponsored.
This was a whole different pain; feeling the mind links being cut, watching their friends blend, and then they had to get answers right, when everyone before them looked the same.
"You are to identify the werewolf king, from the bundle of prisoners in front of you. You have thirty seconds to discuss and get the right answer. Failure to get the answer, will result in us using the dark objects on you and as we have seen, that isn’t something you want.
"So, make sure to take your time. Thirty seconds yeah. The werewolf king is all you need to point at," Odelia said and instantly the leaders decided to make guesses among themselves. They knew it didn’t matter who spoke, because their punishment would be the same regardless.
None of them was ever going to be able to get the answers right.
At least that much was obvious. But perhaps they could be lucky, right?
Well, that could have been easier if the people they were to choose from weren’t covered in shit and didn’t smell the same. There wasn’t a thing like natural scent here because the only thing they could smell was absolute shit and the body was a mess.
"The fifth person," Luna Park said and the other leaders nodded as if to tell Odelia that that was their choice, even though it was more than obvious that they didn’t know what to think. But then they had to say something in the thirty seconds they had been given, right?
"Wrong answer."
