Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 373: When The Goodbyes Sounded Unreal
[RANIA]
"What is going on? You still haven’t given me an explanation," Daehyun asked in a soft voice, because he knew that Kaia would have his throat out if he dared to question the man.
"The balance is being restored. Don’t worry. If we wanted to kill you, we could have done it the hundreds of times we let you free. We don’t have issues with you Daehyun. My brother will create a portal to where your pack members are.
"Remind them not to wage war against Incayon, or they will be doomed," Rania said softly and understandingly. She knew she had no use for Daehyun and she couldn’t hold him back. Given that the man had only been a loyal warrior.
He was the best fit for his people and that was more than could be said for many werewolf leaders at the moment. Perhaps they would change with the times, right?
"You are acting strange—"
"Will you leave or do you want me to kill you like you want me to?" Kaia asked, clearly not in the mood to stand there and convince Daehyun that he was safe and shit. They had other things to worry about and they couldn’t do that with the man here.
So much was happening. And with them having just realized that Dalrae was the crown princess, who was clearly abandoning her ship home, they needed to understand best what the fuck was for them.
"Gee fine, I’m leaving," Daehyun said and Chang Wook created a portal for him to go to where his people were.
"What now?’’ Han Seong asked as he looked around them.
They had won the war and no one in their right mind would try to come against them. It was more than obvious that Incayon and proven to be stronger, especially with the help of the misfits.
It was something that they hadn’t thought of, but then the strangest team in the world coming together to make the impossible possible wasn’t exactly on anyone’s bucket list.
"Well, we won the war and have no reason to be worried for our people again—" Rania but Paloma interrupted her just in time.
"What of the people in the Cezaevi? Will we leave them there?" Paloma asked, and Rania looked at Kaia, for the first time making it seem like that was something Kaia had to answer for her.
Then again, in the past few months she had learned that with Kaia, she didn’t have to bear everything alone. They were partners and right now, she needed to know what her mate had to say about that.
Of course, there were chances that they could just kill them, but then Rania knew that Dalrae would want to say goodbye and see her parents for herself.
She had promised to bring her parents to her, and that was one promise that Kim Rania was planning on keeping, regardless of what the fates had in store for them. She didn’t have the heart to say no to her sister and that in itself made her special in some way.
"We will move them to the people’s palace and get it over and done with. They have all played a part in the destruction of your lives, our lives and if we have to see them again, then we have to, for closure.
"Only then will we know if it will be best to kill them or let them live," Kaia said and Dalrae let out a sigh of relief. Rania, who was watching her sister, knew that this was the best thing to do for her.
"Great. Let’s restore our home then," Rania said and the warriors and the misfits got to work. The barriers were pulled down, to reveal an Incayon that they had rebuilt. They had made it more of a home than it had been earlier.
Over the days that followed, the people of Incayon streamed in, coming back home to a place they had expected to be reduced to shambles. They had expected the worst when they came home, but the Incayon they were met with was surprising.
However, they couldn’t help but be thankful that they had a team that was more than willing to fight for them. They had done whatever they needed to do, to get justice and vengeance for the girl broken by Incayon.
So many lives had been lost, but none of them belonged to anyone from Incayon or the misfits’ team. It is like they were finally at the gates of their little heaven, a home that was so beautiful and that screed perfection.
"Hello Incayon," Rania greeted one evening, when she and her friends were done with everything and Incayon was once again a powerful pack that had restored its honor.
The wolves were currently in the new assembly hall, a huge building that was so comfortable to be in.
It may have been a hall but it screamed home more than anything else. The setting was welcoming and it made them feel like perhaps there was a reason everything had happened to them.
"In these past months, I have imagined what it would be like, standing before you, and facing you after everything I have done. I know that most of the things I did weren’t what anyone would approve of, but even then, you stood by me in my worst state.
"I have tried to prepare speeches, but just like every single day in the past six months that you have been back home, I am not sure if anything I say would ever make it all better. So, the only thing I will say is that I’m sorry.
"I made Incayon a target from the moment I was born and while I know that is not my fault, just let me apologize, for the horrors you have had to deal with and the pain most of you have had to experience.
"Just because none of our people died, doesn’t mean that you weren’t worried sick about your families. I honestly don’t know what to say, other than thank you. Thank you for standing beside me, regardless of what I put you guys through.
"I know that according to the Lunar trial, I should still be out of Obren and the real world for eight more years, and I plan on respecting that," Rania said and the misfits looked at her with sad faces.
They had spent the past months trying to talk her out of it, but she had been adamant. She had told them that her staying and disobeying the rules, especially when the king wasn’t even on the throne, was rebellion.
And while she was the greatest rebel of all time, she wasn’t going to be rebellious this time. She had done everything in her power to bring all the truths to light, and her people and the realm would have to decide what to do with her.
Of course, it was crazy, but then she had made up her mind, and she wasn’t going to change it, not this time and certainly not until everything was stable.
"While you think of that, I know you have heard the rumors about my sister. I have been looking for her parents for years, and it’s safe to say, I found my Dalrae’s parents.
"So Incayon, allow me to present to you the King’s first born-daughter, and the queen’s second child, Jeon Junghwa, or as we have always known her, Lim Dalrae."
